I just need some time to understand that every episode we are getting close to say goodbye to Matt and is overwhelming. It's such a good episode, btw! Much love!
Compliments to Matt on being such a great listener! Trying to work on my listening skills and making people feel heard, and Matt you really set a good example!!
Similar to Will Smith's book, I think 'Talking to Strangers' also deserves a solid audiobook version in Matt's voice, with some edits from the Yes Theory Team. That would be incredible!!
As someone who is going through a hard transition myself it is reassuring to know I'm not alone. Cannot wait to read your book and i am looking forward to your next episode 🙂🙂
This resonated with me a lot. I am in the middle of writing my PhD thesis at the moment and there are many similarities to writing a book. Imposter syndrome is real sometimes. I also liked the bit about how anxiety never really goes away, you just learn how to deal with it better by exposing yourself to situations and keeping your goal in mind. Humour is so important and also having a network of people around you for support. I'm looking forward to the next episode Matt, keep up the good work!
Fantastic conversation. Couldn’t agree more that there is so much free information & tools for people to create the change they desire, yet… they’ll find anything & anyone to blame for their inaction. 😅 Easier than getting up & taking action. Thank you Matt, thank you Mark. Looking forward to other conversations! 😊
Matt I'm moving out from home in just few days for the first time, and Im leaving all my friends, family and places that saw me grow up and collect so many memories behind. I know that it's a necessary step in my life but i cant hide the fact that it's a huge step emotionally and mentally, not only for me but for the people that will remain here as well. Yes theory made a big impact on me as made me realise the importance of time and how valuable it is to use it correctly as it's a resource that doesnt come back! I'm grateful as well as you all teached me to seek disconfort and go outside my confort zone many times. In fact, it had a role in this decision that i made as well. Im super thankfull as well for the comunity that sorrounds yestheory, which is incredible. To the place that im going, im thinking a way to collect my memories while i stay there, as I think that it's going to be great to look at when im older. Maybe a diary or a photo album just like you guys have, i dont know yet. I just had to tell this to someone so... i know that this is kind of random haha, but thank you for your role too!
You can do it! It's always easier than you think it'll be. That's my motto anyway cus I usually imagine the worst and then it turns out fine. Basically, you're gonna get through it and you'll be fine on the other side. I recommend Mark Manson's Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck if you haven't read it!
@@whitenbald Thankss! It's been around 5 days since I moved and everything is going well, it was more the "fear" of the unkown and thoughts about if I would be good enough, I underestimate myself often. I havent met barely any people but I dont even feel alone because I am busy all time, hopefully I will meet more people soon. I took a look at the book and it looks very good! I will read it Thankss!!
Really enjoying these pods. It's nice to sit and chill and listen and learn :) I can relate to a lot of what you both talk about here! Recently quit my job, searching for purpose and what is important to me now. I'm learning to not put so much pressure on myself. Self-compassion is huge!
Great episode, it means so much to see how open both of you are talking about all the emotions, struggles, and mindset shifts throughout both your journeys.
Matt, you're awsome with the " Interviews" ( I dont know if we can say that, cos it's more a good chat). You could interview a lot more people.... *hint* *hint* *hint" 😄
I enjoyed this like... a lot! Looking forward to the coming episodes. Any chance to have the book in Europe? The shipping straight away makes it double the price 😪
Honored to be a part of this process with you Matt. Excited to see what the next chapter holds in store for you!
You're awesome Mark, love your channel 💛
