  • Hello everyone and welcome back for a POV video! The 1999 Cadillac Fleetwood Limited is an extremely special vehicle. With a production run lasting just two years, only 781 of these luxurious vehicles were made. I will first give you a tour of this luxo-barge. Then I'll go on a drive on the highway, out in the country, and in the city. Finally, I will finish it all off by performing an acceleration test. There is no commentary in this video which emphasizes the experience and sounds of the car. Enjoy!

    Your car reviews are amazing! I really appreciate how much time and effort you put into showing the details of all these old cars. I especially like your red eldorado and fleetwood series 75 reviews.
    I don't know how you chose and obtain the cars you review, but if you're willing to take requests, I think you would really enjoy the Lincoln Continental Mark V. It's another big, blocky, road-hugging car, and it's especially good in the Bill Blass edition that has a stylish design all over. I would love to hear what you have to say about it.

    Thank you James! I had known about this video for few days and kept it for the right moment. So after a loong walk in cold autumn day, I had a glass of bourbon on a couch and enjoyed my ride in this cool Cadillac. (Which I will never own as I am affraid of the Northstar engine., but I would take it for a ride anytime.) Thank you again, I am already looking for another one! Cheers from Prague!

    This Cadillac is big and beautiful. It has all the creature a limo would have. I understand no audio so we can hear how the car sounds on the road. Very Quite. Acceleration is quick. The only problem with the car was the engine they used. I only wish they used a different engine. Thumbs up on the video. I enjoyed the ride of this big Fleetwood Limited.

    I had no problem following your feature demonstration of this big Caddy. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe none of the glass, including the windscreen had a factory tint. The windscreen appeared to have a tint strip at the top. I noticed the Michelin’s on the four corners 😊. 👍 on the vid James!

    I think they used the Fleetwood model name for a Sedan Deville. It doesn't look like the 90s Fleetwood. It looks like a stretch Deville.

    • @kcclark9664
      @kcclark9664 Год назад

      It is a '99 DeVille that has been stretched 6" in the backseat and 6" in the trunk. Work was done by Accubuilt in Lima, OH. When the 2000 model came out, Accubuilt stretched those 6" in the backseat. Purpose was to compete with Lincoln Towncar L with was a 6" stretch done at the Lincoln factory.

    • @JW_Reviews
      @JW_Reviews  Год назад +4

      The 1998 and 1999 Northstars were considered to be the worst which is a shame because those are the only two years they made Fleetwood Limited's lol. But in my case, this engine has been a dream. No out of the ordinary issues, it runs beautifully, and gets great gas mileage for the vehicle. Thank you for the comment, Tim!

      @@JW_Reviews CarWizard on RUclips did a video on replacing the NS head bolts. He said it was one of the best engines if you did that. On occassion I see a posting on the Cadillac Forum website about replacing the head bolts. A better engine than the HT4100 I have in 3 of my Cadillacs.

    • @ic1815

      Just about the only shared part is GM’s “multistalk” cruise control signal and windshield wipers all on the same stalk, otherwise no, nothing is shared with lesser GM vehicles inside. Cadillac stuff was always Cadillac exclusive for the most part during this era.

    • @Lianpe98

      Most of the interior is leather and there are plastics in places were even todays luxury cars have them, like in the base of the seats.

    When you maintain ‘radio silence’ we don’t understand half of what you’re trying to show us. Also we can easily misconstrue what you are saying. For instance: when you go to show that this is an extra-length Cadillac, unless folks already knew that about the Limited they might not pick up on that. Or the might think you’re trying to say that the trunk is bigger. Of course we who are already familiar with the Ltd. know that the extra length is in the rear passenger compartment.
    It appeared that the trunk release button did not work. What was the other button below the TR button?
    Please add some narration.

      No. He’s made a review video. The POV’s are narration free thankfully. Calming and nice to watch. If you want to know about it/have it explained, watch his review…
      And it’s called valet lockout. Trunk works just fine.

    • @JW_Reviews
      @JW_Reviews  Год назад +3

      I do understand where you are coming from, but Julian and IC are correct. The POV videos are meant to compliment the reviews, they are by no means a replacement or a rehash. I usually film a review where I give my input on the vehicle (although my FL review was my first ever video and probably deserves an update), and then I make a POV video to let the viewer experience the vehicle for themselves. Hopefully people will watch both videos to understand and then experience the car. I hope this explanation makes sense. Thank you for watching the video!
