Hi Wil, in Indonesia these kind of dishes are called Nasi Goreng (fried rice) & we have them mostly in the morning as mums use left over rice. But at night nasi goreng is a popular comfort food people have for supper at street food warungs (food stalls). Stephanie, try ordinary curry powder, I like the flavour but is is not so visually stunning, make sure you cook it in the oil for a few minutes with the onions before you add the rice use half the amount as the turmeric is not so spicy, you could add a pinch of turmeric for colour,. I add a hand full of frozen pease at the end they just need to be thawed out in the rice mix they taste so fresh that way.!
You make it look so easy and the ingredients are so simple and readily available. I love the variety of vegetables in terms of taste and colour. This looks like a delicious vegetarian dish that I am most anxious to try. Thank you for putting this tasty dish online.

We cooked the white rice (Basmati Rice) in the rice cooker with a little bit water, coconut milk, crushed garlic, turmeric powder, chopped lemon grass, bay leaves, pandan leaves and a little bit mushroom flavoring. This is Indonesian style of cooking for your info. We served with Beef Rendang, Deep Fried Tempe, Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables, Crackers, Fried Chicken, Hot Sauce. 🤩
Yummy Thankyou for that 😊🌸 Australia
Try watch my taco fried rice too.
It is a stunning looking dish, Nice combo of ingredients, thank you for sharing this recipe.

Oh, my yumminess! This is super quick and easy. Thank you! My family loves it.
Thank you! I'll definitely try this recipe.
I cook a very similar fried rice with tempering of mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and hot green peppers/chillies.
I found your garlic chopping fascinating, you have great patience!
Love from India.
Dude I made this the other night and absolutely love it - it's now a staple rice dish in my weekly meals
Amazing! 🙌🏻🥳
Just purchased the digital “Cook With Confidence “. I am so excited to start trying out these awesome recipes. Thank you, Wil!!!!

👨🏻🍳🙌🏻
Yum, I’ll definitely be cooking this dish a lot, all the flavours I love 🙏
Simple, humble, casual, delicious... Love it!
🙌🏻
Hello Wil Yeung, I tried this recipe yesterday and it was delicious!! My mother suffers from hiatus hernia that causes heartburn, I tried this for her sake, and not only did she love it but she also didn't suffer from heartburn after eating. Well done!! and thank you!!!🙏
Love how you make cooking so easy!
Thank you 🙏
I cooked this dish and served it as a main dish with a vegan chicken fillet for me, whilst the rest of the family had real chicken. It was simply delicious. I intend to cook at least one of Wil's recipes once a week. Thanks, Wil.
Happy cooking and keep well 🙌🏻🥳👨🏻🍳
I tried this recipe when I got home from work last night - simply delicious!! Of course, I tweaked it just a bit, but Lord have mercy it was so good!! I didn't have avocado oil, so I used olive oil instead. I couldn't find any broccolini, so I used a vegetable medley (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots). Even with the substitutions, this meal is a winner!!!
Just made this. Yum yum. I used what I had on hand: zucchini, peas, cabbage, red pepper, onions and garlic. Thx!
Yummm 😋🙌🏻
A little bowl like this brings me so much happiness when cooked perfectly
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Can’t wait to try this dish! Looks delicious! 😋
Love the way you chop the garlic…love garlic! Your perpetration is so neat lol😋 This type of recipe I love, tasty healthy, and versatile. Definitely doing this and subscribing for other tasty meals. Even the way you describe the meal is making my mouth water 🤤😂 Yes I love easy tasty meals that look amazing too. Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I am absolutely going to try this gorgeous rice dish! Looks so colorful and by having the rice made a day earlier really cuts down on the preparation of the finale of this rice dish!
Just made this today. It is very good. I substituted orange tangerine peppers instead of red. Also added just a splash of lime juice.
🙌🏻👨🏻🍳 sounds amazing!
I'm just so happy I found a channel with gentle music since I'm hard of hearing and loud noises rattle me badly (all the sound filters in through one ear so it's extremely overwhelming). Also...SIMPLE! Subbing and super happy. Will be trying this out!
Simple to prepare and looks yummy 😋
👨🏻🍳👌🏻
This looks amazing ❤
Its beautiful how food brings us all together.
Yes my dear cooking really do brings some of us together ❤ I love to cook. But what i don't like some people is not here to watch and love the way how people make their food and they just come on and finds falt and i don't like it
For health reasons tumuric is use in a lot of thing's, i watch a lot of cooking channel and i try a lot of what i see they do sometimes they tell if you don't have some of the ingredients that they use what you have and i have done it.
@@maudturnbull4290same here.
Indeed, i’m using Turmiric for health reason and I like the taste of it. Indonesian food I Love their Nasi Goring
I’ve never seen anyone make and describe a dish so well it makes me have to make this rice dish immediately. 😂
Adjectives on point 👌 I was admiring this as well as your calming voice.
That looks delicous and I love all the beautiful colors. Ty for the recipe 😋👏

Healthful, beautiful, and delicious dish. I will sub brown rice for basmati for whole grain goodness. Won't be as stunningly golden but still yummy. Wonderfully produced as always.
I agree...creating "stunning dishes" at home. Congrats on the books Chef. Turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory. I needed this recipe for my pampered palate and health benefits. Have an AMAZING 2022! Cheers!🍷
That looks amazing!! I wish smell-a-vision was a thing. I will be making this for dinner. Thnx! once again for a great recipe. ❤️
We made this rice and it was AWESOME. Just great! It is now a part of your "menu". Thank you!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
You’re presentation and explanation on “how to “is the best I have ever seen !!
The amazing good food you prepared !!! It’s always pulling me in the kitchen to try Cooking 🧑🍳 too! Thank you ❤️
This looks amazing! My Dad is coming tomorrow for our weekly lunch and I don’t have broccolini, do you think zucchini would work? Also, I just wanted to thank you for making such calm, simple and easy to follow videos! I somehow do make your recipes with absolute confidence (because you said so ;). But also, as someone with a chronic illness and low stamina, your recipes are actually possible for me to make, and all have been magical! And for anyone else with time or stamina issues, chop and freeze veggies so all you have to do on the day is chuck everything in the pans! ❤️🙏
Yes, you can absolutely sub 🙌🏻 just keep in mind the extra water content when cooking zucchini 🥒 Have a great lunch and visit!
Frozen vegetables would add extra water content as well, if chucked directly into the pan.
Your cooking Wil is truely 🙌 DEVINE...the detail and ratios 👌very impressive and inspiring...you changed my way of thinking when it comes to doctoring with food ...and the desceplin that comes along with it ...ART IN THE KITCHEN!! Thank you for your dedicated time for HEALING !
I made this last night, substituting broccolini, which I didn't have, with kale and WOW!! It was SO delicious!! This will most definitely become a regular dinner time treat for us!
Sounds great! 🙌🏻👨🏻🍳
Looks yummy! Will cook this.
I am not a fan of Turmeric, but I have to say that dish looks delicious. 😋 I love how you incorporate broccolini into your dishes. I definitely will have to give broccolini a try, I always cook with the regular size broccoli.
It definitely is a treat to cook with, however all good to use broccoli if that’s what you have on hand 🙌🏻👨🏻🍳🥦
If you can't get broccolini, I bet this recipe would be great substituting bok choy as the green vegetable.
Prepared this dish today. It was very tasty. Thank you so much for the awesome recipes ☺️
You make it look so easy and the ingredients are so simple and readily available. I love the variety of vegetables in terms of taste and colour. This looks like a delicious vegetarian dish that I am most anxious to try. Thank you for putting this tasty dish online.
Just made it. It’s delicious
🥳🥳🥳
Stayed up till 4 am making several meals of this, for my son who lives separately from me, and has covid. He has to isolate for 7 days and hence cant go out and buy anything at the supermarket. It ended up looking just as good as on the video. Think I will add a stock cube next time for some extra flavor. My son enjoyed it. Thank you.
Great recipe!
Add some tempering with curry leaves and mustard seeds and it will elevate this to another level.
It’s called “phodnicha bhaat” - tempered rice, in Maharashtra
This looks great 😋 I love the idea of adding in the extra crispy rice 🍚 😍
But I think after you've added everything to the plain rice, and then mixed....then that's when you should add the crispy rice separate/last for Best Results!!💯🧡
That looks absolutely delicious 🤤
🙌🏻🥳
Made this recipe for the third time in a row-I’m obsessed! I don’t even usually like rice, so that says a lot about how good this recipe is! ✨
I'm so glad you're enjoying it! You've definitely found a new go-to recipe! 🙌🏻
I am mesmerized by the smooth sharpness of your knife, the beauty of the presentation and your calming voice! 😍
