For the 2nd statment, the Reason why It dosen't feature mega man it's because he's stuck on the Moon, for crying out loud while Tron and Roll are stuck on earth. so they Need someone new to save him. For the 3rd statement. I don't think it's collapsing, I feel like as soon as we get a Mega Man Legends Legacy collection Maybe we will get a 3rd game. For the 4th statement, I definitely Agree, except for the anime head part, it's more of a stylistic choice to help seperate him from other mega mans
It really does... This is half the reason I bought a 3DS. The other half was A Link Between Worlds. I actually wasn't too excited to be playing as someone other than Rock, but seeing this makes me think otherwise, also got me imagining how awesome Mega Man would've been in this game...
It's so much worse that the devs and the community put THIS much work into it, and it got dropped. For a 3ds game? That was supposed to come out very very early into the 3ds' launch, almost within a year of launch? This looks SO GOOD! This is just much more sad that it never got finished. I'll never forget the way capcom cancelled it, and more or less gave the fans the finger
@Spike16 Zero and ZX did well enough to warrant followup games and neither had megaman as the player character. But then you had Powered UP and Maverick Hunter X that flopped and both were remakes of popular games starring megaman.
@Spike16 No Megaman in the game? I thought the plan was to do like a 50/50 split, with Megaman still being playable in episodes taking place from his perspective. Did they say the game was gonna be 100% Barret anywhere?
@Spike16 Gotcha. Yeah, for what it's worth I'm almost positive they confirmed in interviews that Volnutt was playable and prominent, just he'd be sharing the spotlight with Barret. Not that any of this matters now lol.
And now they're doing the same shit again (as another director left). Megaman 11 came out and went. Zero/ZX Collection. Battle Network Collection is out. And then nothing. Capcom it's really hard to support a gaming series if... I dunno make new goddamn games in said series?! How on God's green Earth can a company not understand something that simple?

What adds salt to the wound is that it just looks SO good. it doesn't seem like an unfinished/alpha build it seems like the real deal, as if they only had a few more levels and bosses left to finish but otherwise the game was DONE. Combat and traversal looks fun as heck and for a 3DS game is graphically impressive, especially with the signature low poly style. One day bros.
Hated how some KH fans act like there was nothing between 2 and 3 while there were like 5 full-on games between lmaooo Legends 2 and these demo clips had like a 10 year gap with nothing :S

i love the green pastures of the town!! DASH 2 / Legend 2's job was to be the darker game in the series, hence the snow introduction, but this game was meant to return us to those grassy fields!!!

Also dear lord that boss fight, dude had some health! You can tell they really improved the combat and movement in this game, it was gonna be so good! (Also lol at the person getting yeeted at 10:13) I have such a burning desire to see this game get made, I swear if I become a millionaire I will see it through somehow. Like this version of the game looked amazing obviously but it's been so long now that it's beyond outdated and would need to be started from scratch, plus we'd definitely need remasters/remakes of the first two. But just imagine the possibilities of this game as an open-world, next-gen console title with multiple playable characters and online multiplayer/co-op capabilities. God what hurts the most is never seeing how the dungeons evolved since it seemed the ones in 3 cut out all the doors and gave it that exploring a big ass ancient technological cave. I can only hope capcom makes something similar to legends now
This existing bothers me more than if nothing existed all. The Legends artstyle and feel is such a 90's thing that I didn't modern companies would be able to replicate, and yet here it is, everything about how this prototype looked and feel is just perfect, not only replicating the original but evolving it.
This, along with Super Mario 3D Land, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Pokemon Sun and Moon, was supposed to be one of the titans of the Nintendo 3DS. This looks Metroid Prime Hunters levels of good, and that game was on the ORIGINAL DS! I keep asking myself, how did Capcom let this awesome idea go to waste?!
Megaman Legends 3 was the sole reason I got a 3ds in the first place. I was quite put out when I learned it was canceled. However. This doesn't mean that someone can't make a spiritual successor. We may never learn how Megaman gets off that moon, but we'd still have more of the action we all craved.
never really like the side scrolling megaman games but Megaman Legend series is one of my most favorite PS1 games, it was way ahead of its time back then, I hope they'll remake this series in the current generation and maintain their artstyle specially Roll, she's so cute in this series.

Why do so many capcom franchises get the nicest treatment as of late, with dmc5, MHW, Resi 7 and the 2 and 3 remakes, plus a steady stream of SF content but their foundation that helped build them, megaman, gets shafted. I like megaman 11 a lot, but it feels like so much less than other franchises are getting. The legacy collections are good but rereleases only go so far. I just want them to revive this project so badly
The legacy collections are the obvious "testing the waters" move for the fanbase, to see whether they want Capcom to come up with a new title. Although I have a couple of ideas about why MM11 got little-to-no advertising throughout its development process, they don't feel like solid reasons. Still crossing my fingers for that unannounced Mega Man game they said they're developing more than a year ago. Is it X9? Third ZX game? Or Legends 3? Only they can tell whenever they feel like.
This is why we need to actively be buying the Mega Man X and Zero/ZX Legacy Collections, as well as Mega Man 11. It'll show Capcom that people still want Mega Man games and hopefully will cause them to change their minds about Legends 3.

I remember when I first read the announcement of Megaman Legends 3 I was in senior high and it was during computer class. I got up from my seat and yelled "FUCK YEAH LEGENDS 3!! I'M BUYING A 3DS!" I got kicked out of class but hey I didn't care. My heart broke when it got cancelled. CAPCOM I DEMAND FOR YOU TO REVIVE LEGENDS 3! This franchise is the longest cliffhanger since SHENMUE 2! 😐
The Devroom, art, seeing this Prototype version was like a wish granted. We still got MML 1, 2, and Tron Bonne which will always be some of the best PS games.

Imagine waking up for work 5 days a week, going to work, sitting down and coding, designing and planning this game just to have it cancelled and all you and your collegues work be for a few trailers and a cancellation, this game needs to get leaked.
The thing I hate the most is that we missed out on the lore. Legends had the most intriguing lore of any Megaman series to me and I was dying to know more after Legends 2. Now the rest of the story is lost to time......
This was supposed to be the reason I was gonna buy a 3DS instead of the Vita at the time...I wasted my time with the Vita, atleast to some extent. It was a fun console, but compared to the games on the 3DS, large regrets. I chose the Vita and couldn't go back 'cause ofc I was only a college student who still relies on his parent's money. The Vita was a gift, and I chose it 'cause Legends 3 never came out on the 3DS. Regrets were made after the Vita flopped and games like Bravely Default was in the 3DS.
@@PiroKUSS would've been a bit too late anyways and a hassle, since at the time i was still hopeful for the vita. wasn't until around 2015 when I just started to regret the vita hard. now i just kept it around with me for memories

I've been wondering why couldn't they make a legends 3 comic like the megaman Archie comics , which would act as a continuation of Legends 2. That way it would have some resolution to the story and closure to fans rather than nothing at all . Hell back in 2020 Makoto Tomozawa made a tweet asking if fans would crowdfund the game so that could be used to build interest in the series but since it's been 2 years I doubt anything would come out of that
unfortunately, we can't see Akemi Kanda (VA nana) and Daisuke ono (who previously played Prisman.exe) in Rockman Dash 3/ Megaman Legends 3 forever. Edit: I want your Megaman IP to be taken by Inti Creates, fans are already fed up with the Rockman X dive offline.

It's from a Japanese stream that was only in low quality - this quality here is still not so good even after my improvements. Unfortunately it is the only existing gameplay footage known :^(
Imagine waking up for work 5 days a week, going to work, sitting down and coding, designing and planning this game just to have it cancelled and all you and your collegues work be for a few trailers and a cancellation, this game needs to get leaked.

The thing I hate the most is that we missed out on the lore. Legends had the most intriguing lore of any Megaman series to me and I was dying to know more after Legends 2. Now the rest of the story is lost to time......
Being a Legends fan has that bit of suffering too it... He's still on the moon. We can imagine our own scenarios though!

This was supposed to be the reason I was gonna buy a 3DS instead of the Vita at the time...I wasted my time with the Vita, atleast to some extent. It was a fun console, but compared to the games on the 3DS, large regrets. I chose the Vita and couldn't go back 'cause ofc I was only a college student who still relies on his parent's money. The Vita was a gift, and I chose it 'cause Legends 3 never came out on the 3DS. Regrets were made after the Vita flopped and games like Bravely Default was in the 3DS.

@@PiroKUSS would've been a bit too late anyways and a hassle, since at the time i was still hopeful for the vita. wasn't until around 2015 when I just started to regret the vita hard. now i just kept it around with me for memories
@@havocadvent2 nope. personally as much as I'd like to buy old systems to play with, I also would mind about both space and my current situation that's stopping me, since I have plans to move out of my home country soon. right now I have a switch and hoping other games get ported from 3DS to the switch.
This makes me sad! We really need another entry of Mega Man Legends.

I've been wondering why couldn't they make a legends 3 comic like the megaman Archie comics , which would act as a continuation of Legends 2. That way it would have some resolution to the story and closure to fans rather than nothing at all . Hell back in 2020 Makoto Tomozawa made a tweet asking if fans would crowdfund the game so that could be used to build interest in the series but since it's been 2 years I doubt anything would come out of that
unfortunately, we can't see Akemi Kanda (VA nana) and Daisuke ono (who previously played Prisman.exe) in Rockman Dash 3/ Megaman Legends 3 forever.
Edit: I want your Megaman IP to be taken by Inti Creates, fans are already fed up with the Rockman X dive offline.
