This is the reason why I'm still here on this blue planet. to see the announcement, release, and eventual playing of MML 3. 24 years I've waited. I need this.
Honestly, even getting a Mega Man Legends Collection at this point with Legends 1, 2, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne would be welcome too, given how pricey some of the original physical copy versions of these go for these days, and it would be a nice icing on the cake to go with the other Mega Man Collections they've released the past several years - I'd definitely pick that up right away for sure!
I would also love to add on to that - what if they included the Mega Man Legends game that was exclusive to Japanese Mobile Phones and localized it, and added that to the collection for more value? Maybe even include the Japanese Version of the MML2 demo localized, as that featured an original story we never got... value value value!!!
I love Megaman. Still remember the fan outcry when Legends 3 was cancelled on 3DS, mostly because I was part of that outcry as well lol. With the Battle Network games getting the remaster collection treatment, I feel Legends could get a similar treatment too
we just need those gameboy games!!! and starforce. and legends. and PSP...... and Megaman and bass and the wonderswan sequel. and soccer... and the battle games... wow... there are just SO many more games.
A sign we get a mega Man legends 3 is only if they rerelease the legends collection onto new consoles , etc. If those fly off the shelves and get tons of purchases and downloads, THEN they will start thinking about a part 3
If given the chance, my story for MML3 would be: Tron Bonne and Roll working together to unlock a very old ruin that holds a powerful refractor that can power up a rocket that they can use to get to the moon and rescue Megaman. Roll can be a character that commands a robotic dog that fires laser beams at enemy (similar to megaman's laser beam shooter) and Tron Bonne can use her giant mech and minions when exploring ruins (using assets from misadvantures of Tron Bonne). But idk what u guys think xD

It'd be am easy win and money maker and all of us fans would get the originals, remastered, and finally MML 3 after waiting our whole lives. It feels like if Metroid were made a 3rd person adventure/action platformer. I think the second game was much stronger than the first, but both were fun. I never played the Tron bonne game, so I can't comment on that. I did of the most masocistic things of beating the 100 question quiz without the internet in Legends 2. It took me a bunch of attempts, as I basically was memorizing the answers and quickly hitting the button soon as I saw them rather than even reading the questions. You can just give the person a bunch of money to get the prize but I was determined I could do it. It unlocks a major piece of a special weapon when you get it. You have enough other thnigs to throw money at which begins us to my next point.... My only real complaint was the games has too much money farming in it. They made multiple upgrades take MAXIMIUM CASH to unlock. The biggest offender was this one missile launcher in the second game. It has multiple upgrades that were 999,999. I used gameshark because I don't hate myself to grind that long but there's absolutely no reason this should ever been done. I mean if maybe you had a gameplus mode, and the weapons all carried over the upgrades you unlocked, but the game didn't give you any reason or enough gameplay to justify this insane treadmill of grinding. The money should scale based on how much real estate there is to explore and the mini games. Putting kill the player costs into the game made so only a handful of players probably ever saw the full potential of several weapons legitly. It's not like you got trophies even back then for your troubles. It was just doing it for sake of doing it as you can beat the games with far less than maxed out gear.
Fun fact: the first Megaman game I ever played is literally Megaman legends 1. Yes, it's not a 2d Megaman game, but a 3d Megaman game. I will say the music is a bit lacking in legends one, because when you are in certain ruins, it's mostly wind blowing, when you are outside apple town, you have silence with birds chirping. Birds chirping is alright. It's just sound effects without music that don't really give much of an atmosphere.
Megaman Legends 3 wasn't just cancelled. They blamed the fans and cancelled everything Mega Man related that was in development. Notably a Gachaman inspired Mega Man, an MMORPG, and a Megaman X FPS that resembled Metroid Prime. People were doing Mega Man funeral streams. This is how Keiji Inafune was able to finesse so many people with Mighty No 9 and Red Ash
I would love for them to make a legends mmo before they made legends 3. The mmo would task players with recovering parts for the spaceship roll and tron are building, this way you wont play as an offbrand smuck instead of Volnutt for 3...
To me the BN battle system is still the best action battle system ever and was never matched. The only problem with BN games was that it was a GBA game, that might explain the repetitive gameplay loops and excessive backtracking since the GBA memory probably could not offer a higher scale adventure in the games. The graphics and gameplay were probably already rich enough. That must be the aspect that prevents BN from being respected as a great achievement in the 00s RPGs history, because it was a very original concept overall.
That could happen... but it's still important to point out that MM has some obstacles to that plan. It's because the franchise didn't have any breakthrough with MMX Command Mission, MMBN or MML, compared to the success of Mario rpg. The best someone could do inside Capcom is pitch the idea based on the basic principle that MMBN's sucess shows that the public is open minded to MM rpgs.
So basically, they just gave the same corporate non answer they aways had. I wish they would just sell this IP already if they're just gonna sit on it.
you are correct (at least in my opinion) especially since 11 exceeded their original expectations for the game. Less risk/reward. but it's not impossible that they are doing a battle network game as long as they kept it sprite based. Legends is most unlikely, but not impossible. Likely we'll get a starforce collection, then maybe a gameboy or legends collection. They've been release Ace Attorney for years but still have yet to produce a new one so i wouldn't bet on anything.

I was a HUGE fan of the MM Legends games. Honestly, probably more than the original series. I would love to see a current gen take on the series! It'd be cool af if they also included Legends 1+2 since I never did beat 2 and its been, like, 20 years since they came out and a little refresher is in order!
I am actually playing through the megaman legends games right now and I agree with megaman legends needing to be a thing. Maybe a remaster with updated controls would be nice too
I love this news. I have been devastated ever since megaman legends 3 was cancelled. I even backed the kickstarter for the Spiritual Successor that was being made by the original creator, but that got scrapped too. Sad days. Hopefully they really do bring it back and its amazing, these games are so cozy, I love them so much.
I feel that Capcom lied about Megaman 11 supposedly "exceeding their expectations", that Darkstalkers "isn't dead" (maybe to Capcom because they appeared in some fighting games like Vs. Series or something like resently seen SF6 they say it is not dead but we know better). And they resently said something similar about Ace Attorney since the resent collection sold very good (They said Ace Attorney isn't going anywhere nor disappear)...where have we heard that one before? I mean this IS Capcom we are talking and we know that they aren't the most honest nor the most transparent company around, plus those guys are very obsessed with just RE or MH to the point that even if a collection of Megaman or Ace Attorney or something else sells great, even if people want many IPs/franchises like Megaman, Ace Attorney, Darkstalkers, Dino Crisis and even Breath of Fire and others more to return and Capcom knows it and that was seen in the resent poll Capcom did, those guys aren't the type of company that listens to its' fans and customers and it's basically what Capcom wants, not us! They basically have the "take it or leave it" and "you'll like this and that final whether you want it or not" type of attitude. We'll see what happens and I hope I am wrong, but honestly I don't trust those guys at all.
I lucked out nearly 20 years ago when I bought Tron Bonne. I believe I got it for around $30, give or take. This was before anyone knew how rare it was. I just wanted it to complete my collection. I'm glad I still own my copy all these years on.
I'm not gonna lie, I love Mega Man and X, especially Mega Man X: Command Mission (RPG... duh!). However, I could never get into Battle Network and Legends no matter how much I forced myself. That being said, I would love anything Mega Man at this point, including Legends 3.
I love that Breath of Fire and Onimusha did really well in that survey. I've never actually played a megaman game although I have recently bought the most recent collection. I'm always looking forward for new games to play! 😊 I hope you're keeping well David. 😊
So pumped, I've all but given up on Legends 3 being made. I would love to see what Capcom can do with todays current hardware for a new Megaman RPG. Hell, even if they only do a Legends 1 and 2 remaster bundle I'd still be over the moon! Cheers!
I would love a mega man legends collection (even as a remaster) but I would go crazy for a mega man legends 3... also a breath of fire collection would be freaking awesome too...
I've been enjoying the Megaman collections on my Switch. Especially Battle Network, since I grew up with it. But it would be absolutely amazing if they finished Megaman Legends 3. I'd be down for a collection of the 2 Legends game and the spinoff, though.
if there was a new legends game, I would play the heck out of it. a barrier to entry for a lot of people, understandably for legends is the controls. they just weren't quite there yet for games like legends. modern controls would be awesome.
I can't take more Legends pain. I had nope for 3 for so long, years. Years. Then the whole saga of Red Ash that rekindled the fire just long enough to snuff it out again. The fire still burns, but it's low. If Legends 3 actually happens, I honestly don't even know what I'd feel. Legends 1, 2, and Misadventures are my favorite three games of all time. I have hope, small hope, that we'll get him off the moon.
That would be amazing if we get it!!! Funny enough is I was just talking to my friends the other day about how we missed out on legends 3 and that it would be amazing if we got a collection along with legends 3 ❤
Yeah but I also fear about the high chances of a possible new game leaving the turn based format. Thinking about it, the game barely fit the style of the old Capcom... But now it would fit even less, going totally against everything Capcom does today.
@@gamingworldman6842 I'd rather a pure 2d remake that used more detailed sprites and animation (but true to the original art style), outsourced to an elite team of 2d artists. But ok, I also understand that this is the ideal way and not the most likely one.
lmfao Breath of Fire sorry it is dead. Even popular NINTENDO IP like F-Zero are completely dead. Let alone megaman X and classics. Heck are there even any Castlevcania games nowadays? Gaming is pretty much dead honestly.
Even if they just do a repolish and remake of the first two legends games, that would be massive, especially since it would reintroduce Megaman Legends to the new audience and well Megaman Legends is primed for the current market. We're at the point where, everyone wants bright and cute. They are done with depressing settings that look like a layer of mud was thrown on everything, anything simple and bright is grabbing the new audience. And Megaman gets both sides seeing how dark the deeper lore can go, but how bright, hopeful and cheerful and campy a game can get.
When the MegaMan games have come out, I have attempted to buy multiple copies. Most of the games I have on my PlayStation 4, my PC, and my switch. That’s how much I want this franchise to succeed.
My first interpretation of "make megaman games on an ongoing basis" was the same as yours: that they're looking into making the series an annual thing again. But the more I've thought about it, now I think it was just a corporate dodge and Capcom was just claiming "oh, we're always trying to think of how to bring Megaman back. We're not going to do it, but we're thinking about it on an ongoing basis." Hopefully pessimistic me is proven wrong though. I have noticed a lot more Tron Bonne merch coming out lately 🤔
I like all Megaman line of games and I would like to see more content to any of them. A new classic Megaman, a new Megaman X and of course, a new Megaman Legends. I would ask a new Megaman Zero too, but with the end of the plot in Zero4 it would be cool a new line of games, following the gameplay style of Zero or even ZX. We could get a collection with the three games of the Megaman Legends (1, 2 and Misadventures) and then the new game. That would be a dream!
I think what Capcom should do is ask JKB games (creator of the Mega Man X Corrupted fan game) to develop his Mega Man game for the company. If you take a look at the amount of popularity the fan game is making, then you would further understand this. Yes, I’ve heard that there are some mishaps that could occur like sharing of ideas and platform transferring but if capcom just lets JKB games handle the main project it should be fine. Also, for the platform transfer, maybe capcom can help with that so everyone can play the game on different consoles. One more thing I want to mention about this is the possibility of a new mega man timeline. Because Corrupted takes place after MMX5 I believe, there could be potential for a new timeline, one that may fix the many problems that the sequels had. What do you guys think about this? Should it be brought to capcom’s attention?
Bro, where is our Megaman Legends 3 Demo game that was originally made for 3DS? It will never not pull on the pain-strings that this thing was as far as we know finished, reviewed and ready to go, yet was cancelled on the literal day it was supposed to release on. Unless they port it and release it everywhere(or even better, also make a limited run physical release for 3DS so we can get it in its original form), it is hard to be excited for the possibility of a mainline game.
I really hope Capcom does remasters of Mega man Legends 1, Tron Bonne and Mega man Legends 2 had knew about them back in the time so I’ve never played them and all three games cost an absolute fortune now
So they still need to do the star force collection as well as legends to make all of the main line available. I do think another rpg from the battle network timeline would be great, and by this I mean a new series along the timeline after star force.
Love Mega Man! Been playing it since the 3DS in 2012 as a kid, & I’ve loved it ever since! Mega Man is one of my favorite gaming franchises to Final Fantasy & Sonic. I can’t wait to see what games they have in store. Mega Man 12, Mega Man X9, Mega Man ZXC or Mega Man Legends 3, whatever happens, I’m all in for it!
I have said this many times in my life: if they sold a bundle with Legends 1 and 2 (*3 would be EPIC, but even then), stream-lined on a modern console, I would be VERY willing to pay $100.
Bring us Tron Bonne back! Emulating that game over years has been a struggle with how I've lost my saves or had them corrupted, including the copy I bought off the Vita store.
I only had a 64 when I was a kid, so i only got to play the port, and i never got very far, but i still rented it over and over, the atmoshpere was amazing to me. I was devastated when 3 was "postponed indefinitely" or whatever the wording they used was, getting it as a bigger game on a modern console might almost be worth it though...
You know if we can't get a Mega man Legends 3. I wouldn't mind a remake of the original games. Add a modern spin to it and I would be down for that too.
I’ve still got my copies Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 and I was actually thinking about popping them in the old PS2 a few days ago. Part 3 would be a very welcome addition to the collection. Do it Capcom! Do it, do it, do it.
Rented Megaman Legends 25ish years ago thinking it would be Megaman... i was massively disappointed. Fast forward 10 years or so and I pick it up used for $5...and it sat in the backlog for years. Eventually enough people told me to play them they were great and I went in knowing they were more action RPGs and... I loved them. The artstyle held up incredibly well and the characters reminded me of those classic 90s anime of my childhood like Samurai Pizza Cats, Sailor moon, The Brave shows, just that bright colourful fun style they had. Still have never played the Tron bonne game but I would love a legends 3 or even a collection.
I do enjoy the Megaman series and one game I hope gets announced is Megaman Starforce 4. the concept they had of being outlaws and teaming up with the desendent of Lan from the battle network games was really cool.
I even voted back then for the character design poll Capcom did for the pink haired character in Legends 3.... So long ago... Ironic that i've been seeing recently some new indie games with the same Psx era MMLegends aesthethics. Hope you are right on this one Dave 💪

Hoping for a Mega Man Legends Collection and then the sales for that can hopefully justify completing development on 3
I'm not gonna lie, I love Mega Man and X, especially Mega Man X: Command Mission (RPG...
I hope you're keeping well David.
The best I'm hoping for is a Legends collection that has MML 1/2 and TMoTB. I don't see MML 3 happening as much as I'd love it to.
I've been enjoying the Megaman collections on my Switch. Especially Battle Network, since I grew up with it. But it would be absolutely amazing if they finished Megaman Legends 3. I'd be down for a collection of the 2 Legends game and the spinoff, though.
This sounds so exciting, I'd be keen!
Cannot express how much I'd want that to be the case!
A Dream we all wished came true.
I recommend Abyss X Zero as a successor to Legends.
if there was a new legends game, I would play the heck out of it. a barrier to entry for a lot of people, understandably for legends is the controls. they just weren't quite there yet for games like legends. modern controls would be awesome.
I didnt notice your tank top until 4 mins in. Respect the flex 💪
A decade later, I'm still upset we didn't get this on the 3DS.
I recommend Abyss X Zero as a successor to Legends.
I have been waiting for a new Breath of Fire for DECADES.
Yeah but I also fear about the high chances of a possible new game leaving the turn based format. Thinking about it, the game barely fit the style of the old Capcom... But now it would fit even less, going totally against everything Capcom does today.
@@carlosaugusto9821 I trust Japan. As long as they keep the look and feel. I could so an action or turn based of Breath of Fire.
Breath of fire 1 and 2 with a hd/2d remake would be flipping awesome.
It would be nice to have a Megaman Legends Legacy colection, It would be LEGENDARY to have a Megaman Legends 3 on modern hardware.
I know T bonne and serve bot from MVC2. So it be cool to play where they came from. I also wish MvC2 had Ryu and Nina in that game!
When the MegaMan games have come out, I have attempted to buy multiple copies. Most of the games I have on my PlayStation 4, my PC, and my switch. That’s how much I want this franchise to succeed.
Megaman Legends 3 or any sort of remake or sequel/prequel. 🙏🏻 I loved the art too, I hope they keep it but improved for todays hardware.
We're not going to do it, but we're thinking about it on an ongoing basis."
Hopefully pessimistic me is proven wrong though.
I always love when franchises pivot into different genres especially when it's an rpg. Mario rpgs are a prime example of how well they can turn out.
The important question isn't "will they" it's "when they do how bad will they mess it up?"
I really hope Capcom does remasters of Mega man Legends 1, Tron Bonne and Mega man Legends 2 had knew about them back in the time so I’ve never played them and all three games cost an absolute fortune now
It's my favorite series. I would love another X, another ZX, Legends 3, and that Star Force trilogy
I’d love a remaster collection of the first two with better controls plus a third game. Come one, Capcom!
I would like a remaster or remake with modern control for Legend 1&2. And after that release Legend 3
Don't play with my emotions like this.
Oh man I want a new Mega Man Legends gane so bad. I loved those games as a kid
MML3 should be on PS not Switch
I’ve never played the Mega Man RPGs, but even in the action games I find the universe intriguing. So I’d be curious to check em out.
That means we long waited for MegaMan Volnutt to be out of the moon! \^^/
I have said this many times in my life:
if they sold a bundle with Legends 1 and 2 (*3 would be EPIC, but even then), stream-lined on a modern console, I would be VERY willing to pay $100.
Legends 1 & 2 are my favorite games. It would be so great to get 3. Legends Never Die
Legends was always my fav MM series
Bring us Tron Bonne back! Emulating that game over years has been a struggle with how I've lost my saves or had them corrupted, including the copy I bought off the Vita store.
God I hope we get a new Megaman legends that would be so awesome! Also you're looking really good man 😍😍😍
I only had a 64 when I was a kid, so i only got to play the port, and i never got very far, but i still rented it over and over, the atmoshpere was amazing to me.
Dude if they put Legends 2 on the PlayStation store I’ll legit do a backflip and cry
I’ve still got my copies Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 and I was actually thinking about popping them in the old PS2 a few days ago. Part 3 would be a very welcome addition to the collection. Do it Capcom! Do it, do it, do it.
I recommend Abyss X Zero as a successor to Legends.
When Mega Man Legends returns I'll be ready.
What be good idea be rebooting game for HD version of game for magman Legends 1 and 2
Of all the youtubers that have toys of them selves I'd love a plushie of you
I really hope we get Mega Man Legends Collection and finally 3.
I recommend Abyss X Zero as a successor to Legends.
I've been hoping for legends 3 for many many years
😊 I remember playing classic Megaman, as a kid used to be one of my favorites.
I even voted back then for the character design poll Capcom did for the pink haired character in Legends 3.... So long ago... Ironic that i've been seeing recently some new indie games with the same Psx era MMLegends aesthethics. Hope you are right on this one Dave 💪
Fkin love Megaman legends, my favorites of its time.
Bout damn time we are ready!!!!!!!
Bring back megaman zx I love the metroidvania megaman.
