UPDATE: The glove box area on the Ultimate in this video was indeed an assembly line mishap. In my 10 years here, I've never seen something like that happen. When I noticed it, I assumed (probably shouldn't have) there was some supply issue or change made for 2023. After investigating things further, it turns out that somehow during assembly the wood pieces for the glove box area was missed. The good news is that this is a really simple fix! We have ordered the correct pieces for this truck and will be installing them as soon as they arrive. So keep in mind, the 2023 Ultimate still has the nice wood glove box with topographical map engraved into it as seen in this video here - ruclips.net/video/dzlh0j6nTCE/видео.html Remember, a base 2023 Sierra Denali starts at around 62,000. The Sierra Denali in this video has quite a few added options which is why the price is much higher. Happy to answer any questions you guys might have!
My brother works for a Chevy dealership and they had a nice Tahoe come in with Denali headrest in the past. Funny how those make it out of the factory. 😅
I just got the Ultimate Denali and I think there's a big difference, suede head liner, upgraded sound system, nicer leather, dual massage seats, super cruise, kicker sound system in the tailgate. I traded in my 2019 Denali and there is a huge difference in features.
I'm a gm fan boy all my vehicles are gm. I have a at4 and I love it.. But why isn't gmc giving the option for a panaramic sunroof like Ford and ram I don't get it
Yeah, black on black is too plain. Wished GM added a couple other interior color combo's. The Ultimate's interior looks really good. Same with the night shift blue interior in the Silverado HighCountry.
I have a Denali and my truck made the cut which is equipped with SUPER CRUISE...yay me! But the ONLY things different from my truck to the Ultimate is the leather seats, ultimate badging, massage seats and different wheels. Plus my price was locked in from Jan. 6th. It took me 10 months to get it. I built mines and got lucky to get everything, HUD, rear view mirror camera, 6.2L and I'm so in love with my super cruise feature.
Just bought the 6.2 denali ultimate - man was it hard to find. Had to drive 12 hours to pick it up, but let me tell you! I am absolutely loving it!! :)
Great vid as always. For me... I don't see $10K of difference with no Supercruise in the Ultimate. You can get the HUD in the regular Denali, then it's a bunch of money for somewhat better leather and Stereo. GM's sort of pushing it a bit on this one.
I agree, I wouldn't trade my Denali for all the tea in China plus an Ultimate and give up Super Cruise for massage seats. It ain't worth all that especially with no SC...
Plus that vader chrome grill on the Ultimate just looks like an after thought - doesn't even match the lower chrome trim piece. Which you may have noticed they "fixed" on the 2500. Pretty unacceptable at this price point.
I have a 2023 Denali loaded; everything the ultimate has plus carbon package and super cruise. No darker aluminum, Denali embossment and massage seats. Like better than ultimate. Price was 85K

Interior mood lighting multi-color options AC mood fragrance, install 5-10 of your favorite scents bottles into AC system During self driving, steering wheels retreats and seats can turn to face each-other for a more social environment with the family Pop up and pop out table, mini fridge and even microwave (miniature sizes just to fit a cup of water) enough to heat tea, coffee or hot cocoa on those long winter drives And they call this the Rolls Royce of GMC trucks...😄
Never ever a GMC guy but these look great! Love the interior setup and sharp on the outside. I'm a Toyota guy but this looks way nicer than the new Tundra... may test drive as I'm due for a truck...
Same here but it’s time to let go of my 2013 Tundra 5.7 v8. Only has 118,000 miles. I might keep my truck and just get a new truck. GMC Denali might be it
I got my Denali last week, ordered with how I wanted it, Titanium Rush, 6.2l motor, power running boards, Touring exhaust, cold air intake, lifetime ceramic coating and many upgrades similar to the Ultimate. I prefer the all black interior. Runs great and sounds great.
You know what's disappointing is it doesn't have the upper grab bar to get out or pull yourself in just got the ones on the front like by the windshield instead of by your head should have them both I think the HD's had them before they changed him I haven't seen them since
We have the 22 Ultimate and are loving it so far. Took a year and one week to get it from the time we started the ordering process. Love the supercruise. :)
I am so confused as to how your Denali ultimate doesn’t have the wood on the glove box I have a 2023 Denali ultimate and it has the wood with the embossed mount Denali graph on it, it looks super clean so idk how yours doesn’t have that
Another excellent video. Been waiting on my Ultimate since day one of reservations. 2022 order was pushed to a 2023 and finally built back in Aug... still sitting in Mexico "Bayed for Quality Control."
So, from the video, what makes the ultimate price higher than the Denali?? The leather seats the heads up and displays the sound system?? Because I really did see much of a difference between the 2 beside the leather seats, sound system, and heads-up display.
Premium leather interior and massaging seats seem to be the key differentiators? I assume the kicker bluetooth tailgate system is standard with the Ultimate?
I’m seeing many pictures of the ultimate with the brown glove box not the black like that model. I wonder if there wasn’t part to be allocated for this one.
Ordered up a 2023 Denali (crew cab, standard bed) with the tech package (about two months back). Looks like it's being picked up by GMC this week. Waiting for confirmation on that. I don't want glass above my head, which ruled out getting the Ultimate. Did opt to get the 6.2L v8 though. 😁Plus the multipro power steps (after seeing your video on those) and the floor liners because I'd had to add them after getting it anyway. might as well get it from the factory with the things I want to make it easier on me. Looking forward to the upgrade from my current 2020 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71(also with the tech package, 5.3L v8, crew cab, standard bed). Only thing I'll be adding post delivery is a bed cover.
Awesome comparison. Thanks! That metal Ultimate badge on the seat will heat up real nice in the Texas sun and leave a brand between your shoulder blades 😂😂😂
Great comparison! Looking into a 2500 Denali. Also really would like to see GM compete with Ford Maverick with a truck of their own. Call it GMC Valley and Chevy Eldorado! What's your thoughts?
I’ve owned over 20 half ton trucks over the past 15 years. Picked up a 2022 GMC AT4 in September. Returned it in November. Bar none, the most uncomfortable drivers seat there is. PERIOD. Drive it for an hour and se e doe yourself. GM may want to buy Casper and throw some of that memory foam in their seats. Nothing else matters if can’t feel your legs after an hour. The dealer even told me the seats weren’t as comfortable as the seats I was trading in. I wish he would have said you’ll be a cripple. Other than that, enjoy your Denali.
overpriceds plastic trucks. Denali used to be an all optioned out truck and now they are just skewing the lines for more profit. Next it will be the Denali Ultimate + for an extra 10k
Btw I’m the video you point out it’s just basic black above the glove box but if you look up images of the ultimate Denali interior you’ll see wood grain
Should have put screens on the seats like they do the suv to me that would have made it the ultimate it would have given ford an ram 🐏 something else to copy
Can you really call it Ultimate if it doesn't have the super cruise feature? Ultimate means "everything" right!? The price difference is considerably more than 10k if you add super cruise and if both vehicles have the same motor. A true Denali Ultimate is 90k plus all day long! I'm driving a lightly used (18,000 miles) 2021 Denali Ultimate now and will trade it in on a lightly used 2023 Ultimate in two year after someone else has absorbed all of the initial depreciation.
Brian One thing people have been mentioning about the 2024 trucks is they deleted the 12v socket from the trucks. Those of us who have accessories that use those type of plug will have to do an add on to continue using them. Kind of disappointing.
Brian, I'm looking at getting the new Denali in Feb. Questions that can help my decision on engine choices: 5.3 or 6.2? Please if you could elaborate from your opinion on which is better for just daily commuting with no towing. Rarely long trips but will take some. Best reliability records. Is there a huge difference in fuel consumption between the engines and fuel cost of 87 vs 93? Can you really run 87 in the 6.2 under normal driving conditions? Thanks in advance. Oh do you thing GM will be offering some end of year deals in financing and pricing?
I have the 2022 Sierra Denali with the 3.0 and it power is equal to the 6.2 I had before. The fuel economy you get 28 to 32.Towing a car trailer w/ a corvette was 19.8 in NY and we have hills here.
@@Ricks8383 you can keep.the "3.0" the 5.3 & 6.2 are much better & cheaper to operate. Damn diesel.fuel too damn high anyways, thanks to who you voted for...🤪
@@Ricks8383 Thanks Rick for the input. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to experience a Diesel yet. From what I'm told and seen on RUclips is there is no difference in ride and sound quality during daily driving? Do you have any Pros and Cons on such? Thanks
Right now in Iraq im looking for a 2019-20 denali and I can not find one or its asking for a 61K USD with 20K milage. Not sure when we will get this new look in Iraq
I got a 22 denali and I love it. Something I'm seeing alot of dealerships do is adding about 10 grand on the price...one dealership where I live added a 20,000 dollar "limited availability" fee. So the denali was almost 100,000. Crazy. Anyway I do love my denali GM did a really good job with these new models
@@timradke7775 Which trim did you get? I just got the ultimate he was showing and as far as quality goes, it is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned.
Just noticed that the denali, at4x, and denali ultimate have different interior vent placement and design from the rest of the sierra and all of the silverado trims. I like it a lot more for sure.
Yep. AT4, AT4X, Denali, Denali Ultimate come with the premium dash, which uses a noticeable amount more premium materials and finishes and nicer layout, compared to the Silverado's/lower Sierra models stream line dash.
That ultimate doesn't even have supercruise 😄. My Denali has it and I paid less than the sticker on the white truck! On a personal note, the atmosphere/gray interior is far better in the looks department than the black.
What happened to the upper glove box on the Ultimate? It originally released with a beautiful wood paneled dash. That looks like a mistake on that one with the black leather.
Honestly I’m also thinking it might be an error in production. I’m investigating it tomorrow. This is the first 23 I’ve seen so my first assumption was that they changed it, but it really isn’t making sense to me. Supply issue maybe? I’m going to find out for sure. I’ll update you.
Quick Update! The glove box area on the Ultimate in this video was indeed an assembly line mishap.
The denali is nice but that limited night edition is a beauty 😍 I want to get me one for myself either burgundy or maybe white but definitely has to be night edition
On the GMC online "build and price" configurator, the photos still show the wood upper glove box like the 2022 Ultimate had. @brianmello...is there any chance that they had an error on that particular build?
Hey Kurt I looked after I uploaded the video and I’m thinking production error. It’s the first 2023 I’ve seen so when I assumed they changed it or a supply shortage…..but I started looking up other videos and the trim is there. I’m going to investigate it tomorrow and see if it is in fact a production mishap.

@@BrianMello Thanks for the update. That makes a lot more sense. Would have been very disappointed in the ultimate having a not so "ultimate" trim on the upper glove box. However...one does have to wonder how the heck that slipped through quality control. But, hats off to you and your dealership for investigating it so that the customer had the right experience. Not sure my dealer would have done that.
@@kw-4247 the higher ups are mind blown, because obviously the assembly line is a very well oiled machine. From what I know as of now is that this one is the only one with the reported issue but there is an in depth investigation going on now. What a silly problem to have to deal with lol but at least it’s a very easy fix. Just have to replace the glove box and that side piece.
Blacked out GMC on ultimate. Are the bed sizes different or does one get all three bed sizes with both Denali Editions? I have a 2021 Denali Ultimate that costs the same. I feel cheated, quite cheated. Sigh

Both nice trucks...does the ultimate also have carbon fibre bed? Is there any difference in the suspension between these two? A very critical part of any vehicle's ride....i would love to see a comparison between all gmc 1/2 ton suspension options...thanks for the videos
@@dallasfrost1996 on the GMC website for the 2023 ultimate, it reads "Available CarbonPro™ Composite Bed" as well as "Available Super Cruise† Hands-Free Driver Assistance Technology (Late Availability)". The Super Cruise continues the trend in 2022 where super cruise was not available and they instead issued a credit to compensate buyers for the missing feature. In 2023 they just aren't' offering it and I don't believe they lowered the base price (maybe they did). I can't comment as to the rational, but if I was a guessing man, I'd assume they have seen inflationary trends on the supply side and something had to give as the consumer can only afford so much in the form of absolute increases in dollar paid.
@@kw-4247 Yeah, I knew about the SuperCruise availability issues, but nothing on the carbon pro bed. Didn't think that would be affected in any way. With all these missing and deducted features, the base price really should be lower... Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the case though. Anyways, thanks for informing me, might have to go check the GMC website out for myself.
3 huge things they are missing, upgrade the glove box to the wood one like the regular Denali instead of plastic, make them with a full/dual panoramic roof since we no longer get the tv monitor that my kids love, and install the Escalade headrest with the speakers! It’s an $85k truck wtf! 🤦🏻♂️
I'm almost certain that was a production error, or due to inventory shortage. Every other Denali Ultimate has got real open pore paldao wood with lazer etched engravings of Mt Denali as the upper glove box lid.

The main two things to me that I personally want that are on the ultimate are the massaging seats and superscruise. I have a vehicle with a swade headliner and it's not our cup of tea. The brown seats are different but pure black is my preference. Had a ultimate order at first but unfortunately was delivered without super cruise so I rejected it. Maybe gm will pull their head out of their butt and actually deliver orders as ordered. If not I can keep mine or if I find something else I like they will just lose another sale
That has to do with chip shortages. Buy a ton of new vehicles and all the dealers send trucks with stuff missing atm. They're just do far behind that it's better off to just send out the truck with a feature or two missing than it sitting in a lot for another year
I’ve bought two other vehicles instead of buying GM products. I love my GM vehicles, however, offering ultimates without super cruise is ridiculous. Why offer it in all these different product lines if you can’t support the packages you already offer it in…it’s just crazy. I got my wife a sport platinum caddy with super cruise, but have been chomping at the bit to get a new sierra with SC. I’ll go another 6 months and if they haven’t started shipping them by then, I’ll just try a ford at that point. I feel like manufacturers (especially GM) have wasted a bunch of good will with customers…and unfortunately, it seems like this is the new standard moving forward. Best of luck on your search.
IM NOT SURE WHATS GOING ON BUT IN THE NEW 2023 DENALI ULTIMATE THAT PASSENGER SIDE DASH AND GLIVE BOX IS ALL WOOD 😊 NOT PLASTIC. THERE IS A GREAT VIDEO ON ROLLING RIMS CHANNEL THAT SHOWS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DASH THAN THE ONE YOU ARE SHOWING
The ultimate is nice is it 20K more nice? I don’t think it is. It looks very unfinished. Like they slapped some badges and a Vader chrome grille that doesn’t match any of the other chrome. Weird and looks out of place. The wheels have plastic in the inserts and is just tacky.
BUYERS BEWARE!!! My brand new truck transmission went out at 10,000 miles the paint was fading after two years, GMC put a remanufactured transmission in and it’s still had the same problem! Violent jerking and not to mention they will treat you like crap . Went with a Lexus didn’t want or need the truck anymore after the horrible experience! Not an isolated incident GM has had a class action lawsuit because of this. But do they say anything of course not

overpriceds plastic trucks. Denali used to be an all optioned out truck and now they are just skewing the lines for more profit. Next it will be the Denali Ultimate + for an extra 10k
*cries in poor*
Ram and Ford are so much better. Not even a pano roof 😂
Sorry what? The denalis just used to be a set with a different grill lmao. Stop whining because you're too poor to buy this. They're a major step up
@@jason5674 Ford are breaking down left n right too tho
I have a 2019 silverado and it's more of a truck it's a light duty steel reinforced bumpers and frame, and it's the last truck i'l ever buy
Btw I’m the video you point out it’s just basic black above the glove box but if you look up images of the ultimate Denali interior you’ll see wood grain
My 22 at4 has the heads up display.
Should have put screens on the seats like they do the suv to me that would have made it the ultimate it would have given ford an ram 🐏 something else to copy
At4 has the best looking interior in my opinion!
Is that a speaker in the center of the arm rest?
Wheel options?
May have missed it, but do all the ultimates come with supercruise?
Can you really call it Ultimate if it doesn't have the super cruise feature? Ultimate means "everything" right!? The price difference is considerably more than 10k if you add super cruise and if both vehicles have the same motor. A true Denali Ultimate is 90k plus all day long! I'm driving a lightly used (18,000 miles) 2021 Denali Ultimate now and will trade it in on a lightly used 2023 Ultimate in two year after someone else has absorbed all of the initial depreciation.
Tell the company the switch of the speedometer for the tachometer on the display fouls up your mind, the missing 12 volt socket is an issue.
Brian
One thing people have been mentioning about the 2024 trucks is they deleted the 12v socket from the trucks. Those of us who have accessories that use those type of plug will have to do an add on to continue using them. Kind of disappointing.
Other then a portable Air Compressor I have nothing that uses a 12V socket anymore
What about a radar detector?
Brian, I'm looking at getting the new Denali in Feb. Questions that can help my decision on engine choices: 5.3 or 6.2? Please if you could elaborate from your opinion on which is better for just daily commuting with no towing. Rarely long trips but will take some. Best reliability records. Is there a huge difference in fuel consumption between the engines and fuel cost of 87 vs 93? Can you really run 87 in the 6.2 under normal driving conditions? Thanks in advance. Oh do you thing GM will be offering some end of year deals in financing and pricing?
Just go 6.6 bro..HD it
I have the 2022 Sierra Denali with the 3.0 and it power is equal to the 6.2 I had before. The fuel economy you get 28 to 32.Towing a car trailer w/ a corvette was 19.8 in NY and we have hills here.
@@Ricks8383 you can keep.the "3.0" the 5.3 & 6.2 are much better & cheaper to operate. Damn diesel.fuel too damn high anyways, thanks to who you voted for...🤪
@@Ricks8383
They are ok , my 22 is pretty cheap , ordered a ram , just way better quality
@@timradke7775 Which trim did you get? I just got the ultimate he was showing and as far as quality goes, it is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned.
hey cool walk around and voice cover , do you do ford f450 duelley trucks or just this dealer
5.3 or 6.2?
Doesn't Ultimate come with carbon composite bed?
Hi can you tell me? Where is this dealership? Cause I’m leaving in Massachusetts
Nice interior on both trucks. Almost Ram standards, but not quite.
The Denali has better gas mileage and it cost less than the Ultimate Denali. Denali beats the Ultimate Denali!
Thought the ultimate had speakers in front seat headrest
I would pay extra for that alcantera headliner and upgraded bose stereo but thats about all i would take.
That ultimate doesn't even have supercruise 😄. My Denali has it and I paid less than the sticker on the white truck! On a personal note, the atmosphere/gray interior is far better in the looks department than the black.
80 grand no sunroof crazy
I'm waiting for the Denali Ultimate Super Duper. Then we have something
Would you buy the 3.0 Sounds like they have a lot of problems in the winter with emissions ✌️🇨🇦
Also, can it be added? Thanks
Do a comparison between the ultimate and the reserve. Only big difference is the sticker.
What's full grain leather ?
Para mi es la mejor truck
Both are awesome looking trucks anyway 🙌
What happened to the upper glove box on the Ultimate? It originally released with a beautiful wood paneled dash. That looks like a mistake on that one with the black leather.
Honestly I’m also thinking it might be an error in production. I’m investigating it tomorrow. This is the first 23 I’ve seen so my first assumption was that they changed it, but it really isn’t making sense to me. Supply issue maybe? I’m going to find out for sure. I’ll update you.
Quick Update! The glove box area on the Ultimate in this video was indeed an assembly line mishap.
My 19 Limited Ram now own a 22 Limited Ram Night Edition beats it hands down..and costs way less..👌👍
Do they have ac rear seats?
@@atg1338 Ram Limited does as well as TRX👍
The denali is nice but that limited night edition is a beauty 😍 I want to get me one for myself either burgundy or maybe white but definitely has to be night edition
Yea but it's a RAM...
@@sshady7272 👌
Agree with you they dropped the ball with the glove box on the Ultimate. What is the payload on these two trucks?

Sigh
My new ultimate has super cruse :)
85k, no painted fender flares, no panoramic sunroof, it just shows how cheap gmc is, there still selling u that tail gate.
You can add super cruise to a regular Denali now but there is a big chance it won’t come with it.
I believe the 2022 ultimate upper glove compartment is nicer than the 2023

Both nice trucks...does the ultimate also have carbon fibre bed? Is there any difference in the suspension between these two? A very critical part of any vehicle's ride....i would love to see a comparison between all gmc 1/2 ton suspension options...thanks for the videos
Couldn't tell if this particular one had it, but normally the carbon pro bed comes standard on the Ultimate's.
@@dallasfrost1996 in 2023 the ultimate no longer comes standard with the carbon pro bed. That is a change from the 2022 model year.
@@kw-4247 Oh really? Interesting, I wonder why.
What’s next? Denali ultimate omega edition
3 huge things they are missing, upgrade the glove box to the wood one like the regular Denali instead of plastic, make them with a full/dual panoramic roof since we no longer get the tv monitor that my kids love, and install the Escalade headrest with the speakers! It’s an $85k truck wtf! 🤦🏻♂️
You’re right they’ve should have put brown perforated leather on glove box for that money
I'm almost certain that was a production error, or due to inventory shortage. Every other Denali Ultimate has got real open pore paldao wood with lazer etched engravings of Mt Denali as the upper glove box lid.

How about a comparison between the Ultimate and the AT4X
The comparison is ultimate is way better !
I have an X and it has every single feature the ultimate has but in all black plus a nice leather rapped glove box! Hahahah
One name isn’t enough and as such, Next year it’ll be renamed to: Sierra Denali Ultimate Ultra High Country Limited Special edition 3500
After careful consideration I’ve concluded the prices of these is $30k higher than the junk value they embody.
They listened to you about dash on 2024’s
So the base Denali mostly kept the old interior of the 2020 model Denali. Everything except the dash looks the same as the old one.
Is that real leather like a TRX RAM .
Carbon fiber look
