Anyone with negative feedback about the tailgate has never used one, they are so functional! I will never own a truck without a magic tailgate from now on.
I just got a 2024 3500 8’ foot bed dually and in my opinion it’s the best truck on the market!!! I wasn’t going to get the ultimate but I found a deal in Arkansas that was giving $10,000 off the MSRP and so I flew out from New Jersey to pick it up and drive it home and I am really amazed by this truck. I have not bought a luxury vehicle ever in my life yet and this is my first one at 56 years old. I thought it was time to take a jump and I’m glad I did it!
Nice video, thanks for taking the time to create it. I'm just over a year on a 2024 2500 AT4, about 35k miles. I concur with much of what you said - appearance, ride quality, tire pressure, leather quality, etc. I am often doing 3-4 hour commutes and this truck is very comfortable - floating along as you described it is pretty accurate. It tows my large boat with ease. That being said GM really dropped the ball in my mind with the interior "tech" and driver interface. I often tell people that it looks like it was crafted by Thor's hammer on the outside and laid out by a drop out in their parents basement on the inside. The inexcusable gear shift screen block and lazy use of the center console space (and 1500 knob shifter location). The location of the hazard, tailgate, etc. buttons are prone to be hit right by the storage. The sunroof has to be closed to be opened fully. Until fixed, my tailgate was dropping while in motion with no warning. The Google driven subscription required interface is terrible. It is a lazy cop out instead of creating a system for the truck, it is essentially a 4+ year old Kindle. It is Android 10, which is years old and not even supported by Google anymore. It allows almost zero customization, color changes, outside apps and uses 2/3 of the screen with the remainder being a digital analog clock or Google home page. Can't get Maps or roadway speeds without a subscription and despite shutting off many of these apps, you are still prompted frequently to "subscribe". I didn't buy a google truck! Unfortunately Google Auto is just as bad, but I was able to fix the screen by installing a stand alone Android box which makes the screen and interface what it really should be. The interior lighting is terrible, no glove box lights, no door lights or other meaningful ambient lighting. Just 4 small dome lights. Inability to change chimes (or remove them), inability to access the turn signal camera unless you are connected to a trailer. The bed plug is worthless for anything over probably 5 amps (power tool charger or something). I could go on, but you get the idea. Truly a love / dislike for me. I'd give it a 7 out of 10, the exterior appearance, comfort, ride quality and towing capability making up all of that score. They could have easily had a 10+ if they had just properly done the interior updates and tech instead of just slapping on a screen with an outdated operating system.
Thanks for sharing all that! 👍 I like your analogy.... did you have a chance to watch the "10K miles later" video I did on the truck, I covered a bunch of what you mentioned... and yes GMC can SSO create a 10 with a few tweaks. Each brand had its sweet spots, there are things I love about each HD truck.... but the looks and road presence of the GMC are by far the best. Thanks for watching 👍
Transmission failure on my 21 at 65,000 miles. Pretty common problem. Had known suspension issues also repaired under warranty. I’d recommend trading before drivetrain warranty goes out or get extended warranty.
Hey Gabriel not sure if you are still reading comments on this video but, would like to say fantastic job on these videos my man I absolutely love your truck. I have a 1500 AT4 with the 6.2 soon to get a 2500 but I highly suggest getting a dash cover on the truck. Yes the quality on the dash have been upgraded in the years but just to keep it even more in pristine condition get a dash cover. There’s a lot out there I heard the brand “Dash designs” is a good one plus there’s different materials and colors to choose from. My uncle had it on his truck and it feels great and looks nice and protects it more. Just a thought if you were interested in look at. Just make sure to get the right exact one for your truck. 👌
I got the SLE. I've had it for a year myself. Had the same issues with the trans but it seemed to fix itself (or i did). I went with the gasser, i needed more payload. 3500lb is my payload. I have a crew cab with the 8' bed x31. She is a big girl. Fully loaded with all the packages, i had it built. The tailgate is one of my favorite things, ill never go back. I haven't done the recall yet. The only thing i dont like is the plug in the bed. It doesn't work. Not that it doesn't work, it does work only if you want to plug in a battery charger. I wanted to run shop vac, saws, compressor, ect. You do have a beautiful truck thx for sharing.
You’re not kidding you got it fully loaded for sure. I think makes quite the statement driving down the road great choice. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
@@chuyL10 For what issue ? The transmission ? I am in a position of 20 Ram 1500 want a new truck but the new HO 6 cylinder has me a little worried. I don't want a first year vehicle.
Do you do any towing and if so how heavy ? I have a travel trailer (tongue pull) that's about 9k loaded and 2 motorcycles that we put in the bed (300lbs per (600 total)). I'm trying to decide if I need the diesel or if gas would be better and cheaper. We don't tow all the time, maybe 5 -6 trips a year.
A friend of mine has the same truck in the 2500, but not the ultimate version. He was just telling me how he wishes he had the diesel because of the 975-foot pounds of torque and the way it pulls so strong, even from idle. He's got the gas version and said he's absolutely trading it and he pulls two trailers and one of them has tons of machinery equipment on it, but I can't speak firsthand to it because I haven't carried anything around personally. I have friends with HD trucks and they all swear diesel. But I can say when traveling or cruising even long distances the RPMs are so low that 7075 miles an hour is completely effortless.
I got my 2024 Duramax Sierra 3500 CC X31 in May of 2023. I now have 21k for mileage and love the truck. The tailgate is great. Didn't think I needed and boy was I wrong. My best mileage was 26 on a 200 mile road trip. I'm getting about what you are overall. Thanks for the video.
Awesome truck! Well done and congrats! That 26 has crept up a few times...I'll reset some trips and find the sweet spot rpm/mph to maximize it. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
@@marcelo403polo2 Well since I've been to the dealership two times for maintenance and a few recalls, my mileage is worse. This is due to two software upgrades to the emissions. This truck now goes through double the regenerations compared to the first year of ownership.
Quick question. I have a f250 tremor. Like you, I use it for around the town stuff. The turning radius isn't great and find it difficult to maneuver sometimes. Do you definitely feel the size when driving in tight spaces (eg chickfila parking lot or something...). Thinking about going back down to a F150 unfortunately. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the question.... actually this thing has so many cameras it's easy to park just about anywhere.... yes it is big, but the turning radius makes it simple. I don't ever really think about it or wish it were smaller. Thanks for watching 👍
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial great thank you! One last question, I’ve seen several people mentioned that the Vader grill on the front started peeling off after a year or so. Is that happened to you?
Just installed a Lomax Stance Diamond Plate Bed cover on my 2024 Sierra. Really happy with the fit. Allows me to open 1/3 , 2/3rds and fully open with it folded up behind the rear window with locking system to allow the full bed available and travel down the road at 70 mph.
Ease up on the Ford comment bro! Lol Ive been a Ford guy for 25years would have bought one but couldnt get the deal GM gave me for my 350 Platinum to get me into my 3500 Denali Ultimate. First GM in 25yrs. Very nice truck and happy with it. Dont knock the equivalent Ford till you actually drive it not cuz u dislike them as a company, its still a nice truck. Now The Ram limited, that had some cheep stuff in it when I drove it. No Bueno. Lol Have a great day.
Banks is still working on the cold air intake and the tuner, they are not out yet, patiently waiting, got there intake horn and boost tubes and map sensor relocator, waiting for the second one because there is 2 on this truck, also have a couple of idash gauges on it, I do love mine 12" lift 38" tires its an eye catcher and pulls like a dream
Goodness, I bet it's a crazy ride for sure! 👊💥 I can't wait for Banks to finally have it all released too! Thanks for watching and congrats on your truck!
Everything you wrote is AWESOME! Great setup! ARE seems to be the cleanest-looking topper. Clear the front, ceramic, and the decked are all very smart add-ons. WELL DONE😎 Thanks for watching 👍
I drove out to IL last Monday to pick mine up. Downpour Metallic Blue. Had a great 900 mile break-in ride home on Wednesday. Love the truck. Thanks for your other videos. They were a great source of info when researching. Also, thanks for the tip on the air pressure. Going to drop mine a few pounds this weekend before a trip down to DC on Monday.
Hey, I tried responding but it may not have sent it so I'm doing it one more time.... sorry if it repeats on your end. That really is incredible you picked the perfect color and I am super excited for you and how awesome it is to already have the breaking-in period over! One thing to note about the tire pressure, do it in the shade or in the morning when the tire rubber and the air are cool, and make sure it says 60/70 in the tire monitor on your screen when you toggle the right dial on the steering wheel. Because the truck would've come from the dealer with 60 pounds in the front and 70 in the back and if you drop it that 7 to 8 pounds what will happen is because of the heat wave, and ashfault temp the air pressure and tire temperature increases and it will go back up to where you started with. Some folks think that the reading is off so they'll reduce it more, and then the tires get a little too soft. I even noticed with the 60 and the 70 originally that even those temperatures would increase substantially to 68 / 78 from driving around.... it's just a summer thing. I hope that helps Thanks for watching and CONGRATS!
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial , thanks for the tire pressure tip. I did it in the evening over the weekend, and you are correct, it does rise substantially when driving. I've had it a little over a week, and by the end of the weekend will have a little over 2K miles on it between work trips and going to visit family this weekend. So far I am very impressed!
I’ve had mine over a year 3500 ultimate and just took it in for warranty wear on the Vader chrome grill,my question would be how is yours holding up,GM said they could replace with no issues as long as it wasn’t rock chips, witch mine is a pavement queen so they order me a new one, mine started to peel
I picked up my 3500 srw ultimate denali at the end of March 2024 . Came with 3 bad tires. The main complaint I have is I am Apple and the truck is Google, they dont like each other. I have the 8' bed fully loaded with everything they offered. Very nice ride ride for a 3500
I hear people complaining about the stiffness of the seats and them being smallish and it is not plush like ford seats, any issues with the seats? Do they soften? I just test drove the 1500 Sierra Denali but I wanna check out the ultimate
They are harder than the other brands, for sure.... and short in the thigh support. It's better than before, but if they would focus on comfort, it would be THE perfect truck in all areas..... I still love it 🙏🏼 but the seats are a bit stiff.
I love the truck... I was going to get the 2500 Ultimate, but I had to have the Supercruise, so I went with the 1500 Ultimate. I've had it a year and 15,000ml later, and I still love it.
I installed a Diamondback HD bed cover on my 3500 Ultimate and LOVE it. Love the look and the function. Easy access to the front of the bed, able to ratchet down kayaks to the top of the bed cover (and walk/stand on the bed cover) Highly recommend.
Diamondback is on the top of my list..... I just looked at it again, 😎and I think you're right it seems to be the best all around, and SUPER rugged! Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👍
First time watching this video. One beautiful truck. Glad you like it. Need to make a point. I know it says Allison transmission but in badge only. It is a GM 10 speed transmission. Check it out with your dealer. Hope I have one someday just like yours.
Nice review. I’ve driven Ford diesels for years - with one Denali HD in between in 2012. Recently - I went to your exact truck in 1/2 ton. I can’t do it. I’ve got to get back to a 3/4 ton, likely will order a Denali Ultimate 2500 with the heavy tow package after the first of the year. Fine trucks, they are.
The seats are not good. From work truck up to Denali ultimate. They’re not comfortable. I had to buy cushions for those 4 hour trips. Also my transmission is going out. 2023 chevy hd
They are on the firmer side for sure.... One thing GMC needs to focus on is softer seats across the brand. But I must say they are better than my 17', 20', and 23' GMCs They haven't given us a problem, but as I responded to another comment earlier, Ram and Ford are forcing GMC to address that. Our family isn't bothered by it... they have worked well for us, but I must admit, I'm a luxury seat guy....having had many luxury vehicles I get it. But everything else is so good it didn't steer us away. Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you for your review. We just picked up our 2024 GMC Denali 2500 HD and noticed that when you turn off the engine, there is some sort of clicking/knocking coming sound coming from under the hood. As if something is reseting itself. Not sure if this is normal or not. Has anyone noticed this on their Denali? Thanks!
There are several things that reset and depressurizes after you shut it off.... also if the truck is running and you hear a mild tick from the outside it's also normal 👍
I have a 2022 Denali (not ultimate). I have the older interior before the redesign but I would like to say it’s been a great truck and I still love it. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.
I have a 2023 High Country 3/4 ton and not a single issue, I do wish I had the new interior screens at times and would love a Multi pro tail gate again......also I will never buy another Black truck again, lol
Dude didn't answer your questions? I chose an AT4 HD over the Ultimate or AT4x primarily because I drive in the heavy snow belt regions of the Great Lakes. Here, HUGE ice balls build on steps, mud flaps, and wheel wells. Don't believe those power steps (and wiring harnesses) will stand up to the weight of ice balls and chemicals that cause corrosion I've experienced. Speakers in tailgate and pamper springs 😂😅😂. But hey, great video.
The Diesel is a bit more, but the engine RMPs, the effortless work of the engine, and the distance you can go more than makeup for the cost. Thanks for watching 👍
Our 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali, been in dealer a dozen times. 30K and transmission went out and part on backorder for 2 to 3 months. Our 2025 3500 Ultimate just came in and we are picking it up tomorrow. Let's hope this new one isnt lemon. Prior years never had issues just the early model 2024. Oh also our tailgate opened on its own and damaged it,GM paid for repairs but it was a hassle.
SERIOUSLY!! goodness, I'm so sorry... 🙏🏼 What a giant pain! I've not had any problems with it other than a system upload that half-loaded and made a couple things did not work until it loaded properly. Did everything get worked out??
Coming from a Ford the ride quality it’s amazing on the GMC’s however I’m definitely not a fan of how uncomfortable the seats are. Does anyone else have issues like that on the GMC’s and the Chevy?
Yep, my 20 Denali 2500 Leather seats and 20 Silverado RST cloth, both are hard. The seats are also more narrow and shorter than the previous model. GM/Chevy need to change this ASAP!
Yeah. I came from older GM and those seats are really firm. Now after 3 months Im not sure they broke in or I just got used to them. It was horrible at the beginning on longer trips. Like seating on wooden bench
For a bed cover look at Limitless manufacturing. The bed covers have a weight capacity to tie down a quad. They do running boards and headache rackes as well. Can never go wrong with Banks like you said. Look at Banks diff covers too
About bought one last year. Decided to keep my gasser for a while longer cuz it’s low mileage and it’s not worth anything because of its year. When I’m ready I find the gmc to be the best mix of what I need
I'm looking into getting a 5th wheel rv for mine. Also looking into moving from Pensacola, Fl to Eastern Tennessee or West side of North Carolina. (I want to be around some snow.) I just put 3k on mine, 2500 Ultimate. Also, I would like to change the Chrome to black ice chrome to match the Vader Chrome. (Black Ice is a little darker than the Vader) AWESOME CONTENT BROTHER!!! I LOVE MINE AS WELL!!! BE BLESSED BROTHER!!!!
Ive seen a video where this detail company clear bra'd an entire 2019 Denali 2500, with black paint. Something to consider. Beautiful truck by the way! 🙌
I do think that is a smart move for sure! I have a friend that has a high end PPF company... I'll be sure to ask him about that. Thanks for the info! 🙏🏼
We are looking at this vs the SuperDuty Platinum. Biggest concerns are the seat comfort and visibility over the hood. The Ford seems to slope more making it easy to see where your front end it when parking. And every review I have seen complains about the seats being too firm. Any feedback on those issues?
I’m a Ford guy and occasionally drive my bosses 2500 Duramax. The seats are ok, but my biggest complaint of most GM trucks is the visibility Sucks compared to looking down the hood of the Ford.
The visibility I have no problem with at all, it's easy to maneuver and it's never even been something that I've had to think about. I'm not sure about the 24 Ford I have to drive them back to back to compare. The seats are on the firmer side compared to the other two brands but they are better than my 22, 20, or 17 that I had. I am a luxury car guy so seats are a big deal but everything else on this truck is so great it did not steer me away from the purchase. With what Ram is doing with the new tungsten edition and Ford's seats being great also, GMC will be addressing this soon I'm sure. the one thing that is important to remember is the Ford has straight axle front suspension and the GMC has independent so that affects how it rides, and then I lowered the air pressure a bit at my tires. I've driven it across several states with my whole family and we were not fatigued but yes they are on the firmer side, not uncomfortable, just firmer. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍
@@anthonys7534 Totally get it! Visibility is a BIG DEAL! .... So many vehicles these days have their nose in the air..... add a "leveling kit to it and it's BLIND. One thing I've Loved about my G Wagons, is they have done an incredible job with the ease of sight and visibility! Excited to hear what you get!
I know it 😵💫 and that’s a great question. That’s always a tough one. They are announcing some updates to the Silverado HD, but as far as the GMC they haven’t announced it yet. For 24 the ultimate was packed with everything I doubt they’ll redesign anything that would be too soon it’s probably just some software or tech updates if they do it, but I always wait until I see it on GM authority or straight from GM Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I have heard that the long strip LED lights under both of the deployable runningboards will go from a segmented LED to more of a solid one, but that’s still unconfirmed
Makes me glad to hear! THANKS! Drive the Ultimate, Denali, and AT4 back to back.... that way you connect how each one is tailored to meet different needs...There is such great stuff out there, whatever you decide I'm excited for you! Thanks for watching 👍
Ive had 3500 Denali Ultimate Summit White 8months now 13k miles. First GM in 25yrs. Took a while to get use to. The more I drive it the more I like it. I pull a 41’ 5er TH alot and it pulls like butter. Had a few issues with the trailer faults from the truck loosing trailer brakes that was in a few times and led light out on the driver running board that were fixed. Still have an intermittent vibration that comes and goes. My biggest beef is the shifter stalk in the way of the lower left corner of the screen😡 I hope there is a fix or a mod at sometime in the future. Love the tailgate once u figure out how to properly operate it. I installed the Banks idash like on my previous truck and thats a nice addition. Also the pedal Monster, big difference. Going to add their intake as well thats about it. I have a Damondback modular bed cover like on my old truck, will never buy anything else. Pricy but worth every penny. Overall I like the truck. Got a few kinks to work out but manageable. Great Video👍🏻
Bug splatter on the Vader chrome causes it to peel. It is nothing more than a cheap wrap over the regular chrome and the bug guts causes it to dissolve. GM will replace or continue to replace the grill as long as it is under warranty, then its your problem. One suggestion is to keep a good wax or ceramic wax on the Vader chrome to keep the bug guts off the surface. For 2025 they are replacing some of the Vader chrome with black.
Yeah, it is a bit odd... it's not easy to clean. Those are great ideas...Thank you so much! I know they could make it much better and more uniform and its finish.
I’ve got a 2024 GMC 2500 at4 , also black, as of now I’ve got 38k miles on it, it’s been a great truck, also awesome for traveling, love the tailgate, but after a year of ownership there are some things that had to be fixed , and some things are a bit annoying. Both of my front calipers were replaced with pads and discs as for some reason it ate up one of the pads 98% and 10% the other one, they’ve failed at different times, so 2 separate trips to the dealer. Annoying are the mirrors that wobble like crazy on uneven surfaces and wobble even more when extended while towing.🤦🏻♂️ Also I wish interior dome lights would be much brighter, they’re led but now bright enough.
That's crazy about the brakes, especially with such a wide difference.... the dealer should be able to see why one grabs more than the other... or change the pad type altogether, maybe a rotor is ever so slightly warped...? The wobbling mirrors should have been tightened by them or there is a rubber bushing that is not set right.. 😵💫 I've never had that happen. tell them to fix it or else LOL! 🤪 I agree... the interior lights are a bit dim and one of the reasons My wife traded her 23' Ultimate Yukon for a Denali with a cream interior is she said she couldn't see anything. The light interior made all the difference in the world... But the Ultimate is definitely more for dudes for the cigar, saddle leather feel is light absorbing for sure... Thanks for watching and congrats on your truck... everyone tells me it has great road presence 👊💥😎
If you really need bright interior lighting...bring in the side mirrors and turn on the cargo lamps! Yikes. That position also diverts powerful airflow with the windows down. 😮
I on 2019 Denali with the tailgate traded and get 2020 Denali with the tailgate traded again for 2023. thumbs up with the tailgate brother, nice truck though
@@nutzthomas Im 5-11 and can't see whole corner, specially when using apple car play and wanna see ETA, distance etc etc. The only option is switching shifter to the manual mode(lowest setting) and manually adjust it to 10gear. That's in AT4X HD. I think Chevys screen is little higher
Hi Gabriel …Nice review ..I bought a 1500….beautiful in Volcanic Red Tintcoat …I think I already taxed the Bed Outlet ..hooked up a Shop Vac kinda knowing I was exceeding the Amps so I must of blown the fuse so I gotta find which fuse location there in….on the dash it would be nice if GMC offered in the optional screens they have one with round gauges with needle pointers for Oil/Temp/Volts/Fuel ….not a fan of the bar graph versions supplied especially considering their prior models had them….I would also like Amber Turn Lamps on the tail lights ….their important being dedicated and more visible in poor weather and GMC has had them before like the 1999 Sierra which I had ….My sister said to get seat covers but reading the manual it states not to cover them due to the seat warmers which can lead to damage …With arthritic fingers joints I like the heated steering wheel too….Prior to picking up my new truck I had the underbody coated with the Rhino NHOU Black Oil Based Rustproofing (NHOU) is New Hampshire Oil Undercoating )
I have a 2021 AT4 1500 with the same tailgate, blows peoples mind that I can open it and have a stereo back there. The non believers are people that cannot afford it, or the truck.
I see you haven't had the pleasure of dropping the tailgate yet with the hitch still in the receiver. As fast as I saw it drop in this video, this should be one of your main talking points about it on both sides of that equation.
Thanks for that, 👍 I did two other videos one about the tailgate and the other at 10K miles.... maybe those will help? But yes you are correct....locking the tailgate is a MUST unless there is a low-angle/adjustable receiver. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial I'm sure they would, assuming people watch them, but you know how short people's attention span is these days. I am no negative nancy by any means, I'm actually building a dually for 2025 and GMC Sierra was my first choice (Now looking at all 3 makers)... one of my friends who owns one and an Airstream like mine showed me this issue. Had I not seen it for myself... well... ouchie. I'm not saying to berate GMC, but any video that you create that has the multi flex tailgate, that should be part of the presentation for any and all videos until they fix it or something... most would never know until it's too late... just my humble opinion. Thanks for replying. Chris
if you work out your truck that tailgate is a god send.....people will argue just for the hell of it, they love the hate more than life itself. lol once you put 5 or 6 people in these trucks they have enough payload to really smooth out the ride, some dont think how much weight just passengers add.....a few hundred lbs of stuff in the bed and a truck full of people can be 1k lbs, more than enough weight to settle a 2500 to ride closer to a stock empty 1500
Wish I could get the Denali ultimate for the interior in gas instead of diesel for the 2500 knock that price down lol so I may get the Denali ultimate 1500 prices are looking good low miles low 60k-62k I have a few ultimate saved lowest I have seen are about 78k.
A truck is a truck. The most important thing is that your happy with your truck. You and your life partner seem happy with your truck. I'm also glad that you guy's came out of the closet and bought a GM product. I personally am a Ram guy and thats how my wife likes it. But to each there own, Ford people are still confused.
My AT4X HD gets 12 in city 13mpg highway and regens every 160-180 miles no matter where I drive. Disappointed as my LML was making 200-250 miles more from every full tank of fuel
Had my Denali since 2021. Just traded it in for a new Ram. I have had nothing but problems with the 10 speed transmission. (Ford and GM is venture partners in the new 10 speed tranny) Regardless if you pull or not. Look it up, it is pretty much turning into a class action lawsuit. I had problems with my tranny locking up as early as 30K miles, endless months, yes months with my truck in the shop. I had no idea what was going on until later on. They wanted $15k to replace it! HAHA no thanks! I traded that garbage in. I have NEVER had a major issue with my Duramax's. That was my 5th Duramax and now my first Ram. I will not be back to GM until they get rid of the 10 speed.
If people had a prosthetic leg like me, they would appreciate a tail gate that actually would allow them to get in the box instead of calling wifey all the time.
I test drove a 2024 GMC 2500 Denali Ultimate and within 10 miles of the test drive I said nope. The seats were like sitting on boards. Way to uncomfortable for me. I ended up buying a Ram 2500 Limited with a Cummins. I definitely made the right choice. Ten times more comfortable than the GMC and I get 24 mpg on the highway and 21 in town.
You bought an amazing truck! You are right the one thing GMC could have done better is to make the seats softer. They have not been an issue for us, but having had so many luxury vehicles I get it. The New 25' RAM Tungsten addition is said to be almost Mercedes S class comfort. Let the seat wars begin! All the brands will have to chase that. Thanks for watching and congrats on your RAM!
Stay clear of "tuners" that do not increase line pressure in the trans. Adding power and not tuning the trans to follow suit isn't worth the added slippage. You're not laying the power to the ground and you're just slipping the clutches. Just my .02. Not to mention the emissions and heat side of things. Just a bad idea
Glad you have had pretty good luck with your truck. I see so many people with big problems on the gmc and the Chevy seems more reliable according to Consumer Reports. But the gmc looks way better. Still has me looking elsewhere for a towing truck with all the problems not to mention the sticker shock.
Thanks for the comment... you really can't go wrong with any brand. They all make really great stuff these days. Each brand has features I wish I had on this one.... it really is hard to choose, but GMC does have the best road presence. Excited for whatever you decide..... trucks are such a blessing. Thanks for watching 👍
My 2020 GMC 2500 at4 has been in the shop for over a year due to shifting weird and inconsistently after 80k miles. Replaced transmission, wiring harness and other things and still doesn’t work. They won’t buy it back and won’t replace it at fair market value. Stay away from GM. The dealer is Conley Buick GMC in Bradenton Florida
The ford super duty actually looks older than the last model. They somehow managed to f things up. The gmc didn’t focus on looking super aggressive. It focused on looking sleek and beautiful and I find when automakers use that formula their vehicle look more timeless.
I pick mine up tomorrow. I don't think I will be sleeping much tonight 😂.
NICE!!! I bet 😎🔥 What model/color did you choose?
Just got the 2024 2500 HD AT4X AEV edition 3 weeks ago , it's a beast !

I never knew I would need speakers in a tailgate, oh that's right I don't.
@@joewreckingballbiden9156 I don't have them either...
I have the 1500 2024 denali ultimate. I literally never want another tailgate again in my life. The multipro is the shit
That's awesome! It's a great truck. You won't regret your purchase! 🎉 Seriously awesome blessing on 4 wheels for sure!! CONGRATS!
I like your analogy.... did you have a chance to watch the "10K miles later" video I did on the truck, I covered a bunch of what you mentioned... and yes GMC can SSO create a 10 with a few tweaks.
Each brand had its sweet spots, there are things I love about each HD truck.... but the looks and road presence of the GMC are by far the best.
Thanks for watching 👍
Mine has been just fine, daily driver and long trips often. Haven’t had any problems and hope to keep it that way.
Denali is the best truck on the road. Very nice and looks are killer. I will be trading my RAM for the 2025 AT4 2500, I can’t wait.
Agree the road presence is strong! Congrats in advance on the move! 👊💥

Not sure how is that possible. my AT4X all I can do with super light foot is 12mpg city and 14 highway, empty bed.
@@marcelo403polo2
Well since I've been to the dealership two times for maintenance and a few recalls, my mileage is worse.

No Bueno. Lol
Have a great day.

I hope that helps
Thanks for watching and CONGRATS!

I just picked mine up, shakes like crazy ! Going right back to the dealer 😏
Best bed cover I’ve ever had was the Gator tonneau cover cheap works well looks great light and easy to remove and install
I love the truck... I was going to get the 2500 Ultimate, but I had to have the Supercruise, so I went with the 1500 Ultimate. I've had it a year and 15,000ml later, and I still love it.
no super cruise on the HD trucks yet?
Got mine in July! Wrote a check for it. My last truck. Could not be happier!
AWESOME!!.... and SMART (write a check) That's the way to do it! 🙏🏼😁

Great truck, I would definitely consider the Banks Tuner, pedal Monster and Ram intake, makes a huge difference in power and fuel efficiency.
YES YES and YES!! need it all 👊💥😎🚀
Do any of those mods void warranty?
seriously considering getting a GMC 2500 Duramax.
First time watching this video. One beautiful truck. Glad you like it. Need to make a point. I know it says Allison transmission but in badge only. It is a GM 10 speed transmission. Check it out with your dealer. Hope I have one someday just like yours.
Thanks for watching! And for the info, I did not know that. I'll be checking it out for sure! 👊
do these not come with super cruise?
Not the 2500
No, the 2500's steering design doesn't allow it to be added but the cruise it has work excellent.
LOVE the 1500, but I know when you put them side by side.... goodness! 🤪🙏🏼🚀
How comfortable are the seats? I just got rid of my 2023 Yukon Denali because the seats were not comfortable!!
The seats are pretty firm. I like fiem seats and like em. If you like softs seats these will not begood for you.
The seats are not good. From work truck up to Denali ultimate. They’re not comfortable. I had to buy cushions for those 4 hour trips. Also my transmission is going out. 2023 chevy hd
The seats are fine, everyone just acting like fn pansey's
They are on the firmer side for sure.... One thing GMC needs to focus on is softer seats across the brand. But I must say they are better than my 17', 20', and 23' GMCs
They haven't given us a problem, but as I responded to another comment earlier, Ram and Ford are forcing GMC to address that.
Our family isn't bothered by it... they have worked well for us, but I must admit, I'm a luxury seat guy....having had many luxury vehicles I get it. But everything else is so good it didn't steer us away.
Thanks for watching 👍
The seats blow
Thank you for your review. We just picked up our 2024 GMC Denali 2500 HD and noticed that when you turn off the engine, there is some sort of clicking/knocking coming sound coming from under the hood. As if something is reseting itself. Not sure if this is normal or not. Has anyone noticed this on their Denali? Thanks!
There are several things that reset and depressurizes after you shut it off.... also if the truck is running and you hear a mild tick from the outside it's also normal 👍
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial thank you so much for the reply!
I’ve had my 2500 Ultimate for 14 months now. No issues, love it but I think I will be going AT4 on the next one.
So awesome..... what's making you lean the AT4 way?
I had a 2020 AT4 2500, LOVED IT!
Just curious. Why swap from the ultimate to AT4 ?
Dude didn't answer your questions? I chose an AT4 HD over the Ultimate or AT4x primarily because I drive in the heavy snow belt regions of the Great Lakes. Here, HUGE ice balls build on steps, mud flaps, and wheel wells. Don't believe those power steps (and wiring harnesses) will stand up to the weight of ice balls and chemicals that cause corrosion I've experienced. Speakers in tailgate and pamper springs 😂😅😂. But hey, great video.
Do you spend more money in diesel compared to the Gas 1500 model?
The Diesel is a bit more, but the engine RMPs, the effortless work of the engine, and the distance you can go more than makeup for the cost.
Thanks for watching 👍

Thank you! Tundra lover here, considering something larger. Great video, and that tailgate is fantastic!
Glad you like it! Yes, as far as the size goes I love the space. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Just traded my 24 Tundra limited for a 24 Denali HD. No regrets other than a small oil leak that was fixed under warranty.
I got my 8 months ago, I love everything on the truck.
But... my running board got stuck today 😢.
when I got my truck, I felt the tailgate was gimmicky. It turned out to be my 2nd favorite feature. The first is the camera rearview mirror.
totally!... those features and VERY useful for sure!
Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
When are you going to make another video about the truck?
Coming from a Ford the ride quality it’s amazing on the GMC’s however I’m definitely not a fan of how uncomfortable the seats are. Does anyone else have issues like that on the GMC’s and the Chevy?
Yep, my 20 Denali 2500 Leather seats and 20 Silverado RST cloth, both are hard. The seats are also more narrow and shorter than the previous model. GM/Chevy need to change this ASAP!
The seats are the only beef I have with it..... It totally could be softer, but the other factors made it worth it.
Thanks for watching 👍
Yeah. I came from older GM and those seats are really firm. Now after 3 months Im not sure they broke in or I just got used to them. It was horrible at the beginning on longer trips. Like seating on wooden bench

my regens every 160-180 miles. It's crazy and I hate it. No deletes available yet
Edit
I use CTS3 for monitoring
I cant find a wench without getting the brush gaurd. Do not want the brush gaurd .

Great Video👍🏻
i dropped my air to 60 PSI in all 4 tires and love the ride
Annoying are the mirrors that wobble like crazy on uneven surfaces and wobble even more when extended while towing.🤦🏻♂️
Also I wish interior dome lights would be much brighter, they’re led but now bright enough.
I agree... the interior lights are a bit dim and one of the reasons My wife traded her 23' Ultimate Yukon for a Denali with a cream interior is she said she couldn't see anything.
Look at calibrated power / duramax tuner for tuning
Thanks so much! I'll check that out 🙏🏼😎
I on 2019 Denali with the tailgate traded and get 2020 Denali with the tailgate traded again for 2023. thumbs up with the tailgate brother, nice truck though
Sucks how the column shifter blocks the bottom 1/4 of the screen. Very poor design.
im 5-11 and have no blockage from the shifter, im not sure if everyone has their seats reclined way back or what.
Does this car have high fuel consumption?
It's actually not that bad, diesel is a bit more expensive but love the engine.

You look familiar. Have you ever been to Nortwest Florida?
Btw great info!!
Great looking truck 👍
Thanks so much! 👊🏻💥
And thanks for watching 👍🏼
I have a 2021 AT4 1500 with the same tailgate, blows peoples mind that I can open it and have a stereo back there. The non believers are people that cannot afford it, or the truck.
LOL.... Exactly! Love the AT4!
Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
You should be proud!
Awesome content!
THANK YOU!
Chris
I think you chose a great truck. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the comment and I appreciate that! We have really enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching 👍
The renegade trifold is an amazing cover and u can tie down up to 2000 lbs on top .
Whoa!... need to check it out!! Thanks for that! 👍
If you dont have the truck loaded, or just running around with it drop the tire air pressure to 55 psi front and back.
my AT4X HD calls just for 55psi
if you work out your truck that tailgate is a god send.....people will argue just for the hell of it, they love the hate more than life itself. lol
once you put 5 or 6 people in these trucks they have enough payload to really smooth out the ride, some dont think how much weight just passengers add.....a few hundred lbs of stuff in the bed and a truck full of people can be 1k lbs, more than enough weight to settle a 2500 to ride closer to a stock empty 1500
Wish I could get the Denali ultimate for the interior in gas instead of diesel for the 2500 knock that price down lol so I may get the Denali ultimate 1500 prices are looking good low miles low 60k-62k I have a few ultimate saved lowest I have seen are about 78k.
Smart... prices and deals are getting better for sure.. the 6.2 gas is GREAT! That is a very easy-to-drive and smooth truck, you'll LOVE IT! 👊💥
In Detroit these 2024 gmc sierra 2500 trucks where out by September 2023 and those where the first ones in the country to get them 😂
A truck is a truck. The most important thing is that your happy with your truck. You and your life partner seem happy with your truck. I'm also glad that you guy's came out of the closet and bought a GM product. I personally am a Ram guy and thats how my wife likes it. But to each there own, Ford people are still confused.
My Denali gets better mpg in town than highway. I get 14mpg at 80mpg. City is like 19/20mpg around 45-50mph
My AT4X HD gets 12 in city 13mpg highway and regens every 160-180 miles no matter where I drive. Disappointed as my LML was making 200-250 miles more from every full tank of fuel
Wow i am fan of this beast but i live in iran and this is too much expensive for us😢 i hope you enjoy it ❤
Thanks so much! It really is a blessing, I hope you can get one someday! 😎🙏🏼
To funny, my trucks wifi, Is sexy beast!
Great video
Appreciate that! 🙏🏼😁
A vehicle looking old after owning it for a year is wild 😂
I also miss my 6 speed real Allison. I don't see any benefits from 10 speed tranny in diesel platform.
Diamondback bed covers top quality
Innov8 smooth lip wheels G700 , power bed cover👍🏻
OK, now I have to check it out! THANKS 👊
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial also really like the Dee Zee tailgate shock assist with weight of tailgate, and Billie Bars tailgate replacement top!
Very nice truck and nice as interior
Just wish gm would catch up with ford’s powerstroke with 500hp/1200ft/lbs of torque.
Yeah, that's what I'm waiting for as well! 🙏. Horsepower and torque.... never-ending battle 🚀 🤪
I.M.O.
BANKS is the ONLY one to trust.
Gale does it RIGHT!
Banks seems to be the most advanced and thorough by a mile! Agree 🙏🏼🔥
Some of the comments about more HP are comical. These trucks have more HP than ever. But to each his own.
LoL there's one in every crowd. Buys a 100k truck to drive to the grocery store
Who cares lmao
Cause he can.😂
looks like someones mad cuz they have to stuff there family in a corolla, its HIS vehicle not yours, quit hating
You are 100 %
I found the seats to narrow and uncomfortable
Same. Its downgrade from my old one
Roll n lock bed cover
the worst cover I ever had on any of my trucks. It could be ok in Florida etc but with hard winter where I am this thing was useless.
@@marcelo403polo2 am in cali so it's good here also theft proof
Goodness...that's awful! SO SORRY you are dealing with all that mess 🙏🏼
The ford super duty actually looks older than the last model. They somehow managed to f things up. The gmc didn’t focus on looking super aggressive. It focused on looking sleek and beautiful and I find when automakers use that formula their vehicle look more timeless.
Checkout on youtube a video titled at4 blackout package. As the owner of a 2021 AT4 i think you might like this.
Awesome! I totally will check it out! Thank you... and for watching 👍
