I don't normally comment on videos, but this was fantastic. I love this so much more than the classes I've taken, BUT... how in the hell do you smile through this? It's so encouraging and amazing! Just made this my new workout routine. Thank you.

I've been doing an at home barre routine for the past 4 months and your workout beat that tens times over. And the funny thing is the other workout required me to purchase their at home ballet barre! Really enjoyed this workout. First time in a while I have stuck to a video the whole way through. Even thought I only used two 1 lb cans of soup I still really felt the arm workout. My only suggestion is having a better dynamic stretch in the beginning (felt like I pulled a hamstring) and try some better background music. That track sounded like something from the 80s ;)

I am working on finding other options for royalty free stock music - it can be a challenge but RUclips has very strict copyright rules. On the lookout though...hopefully I will find some tracks you like more!
Love this work out! Friends have been trying to get me to go to their Barre class for months but I was intimidated! I have never been able to do anything synchronized (like Aerobics or Zumba) because I have no sense of rhythm. ha! But this is so simple to follow! QUICK QUESTION: I looks like you don't do a side leg raise on the second leg; am I crazy? I've just been alternating which leg I start with to compensate. More Barre workouts, please!!!

Really liked it. Going to try. Just out of curiosity shouldn't your leg be straight when you do the forward lift in standing position?
+Lisbeth Salander Hi Lisbeth! In barre we do both types of leg raises - the bent raise works more of the inner thigh as you bend the knee and slightly open up so the inner thigh shines to the ceiling and you feel the burn. A straight leg raise will have greater resistance for the front of the leg and work more of the quad! Hope that helps!

You might also add in cardio on one or two days as well - and remember it's always good to switch things up to keep seeing results, so don't be afraid to try some of the other workouts on my channel as well to add variety! : ) Keep up the great work!

sonrisita1 Thanks! This workout is designed for all levels - you can make it more challenging by grabbing heavier weights, squatting down lower in the pliees, and going through the whole workout with no breaks!

How many times a week do you RECOMMEND barre exercises for a quick result???
+yaneth p I would recommend at least 3 days a week - but up to 5 as you progress and then you can add in a cardio and stretching day as well. For quick results I would try to do something every day - you can vary the length of the workout but just try to build up to creating that healthy habit!
Why during butt exercises (from 10:15) I feel lower back muscles (or maybe it's spine) instead booty? What am I doing wrong?
Hi Julia! So that could be from many things but often we feel lower back fatigue and those muscles really working because we have some muscle weakness there or weakness also in our core. You can try reducing the range of motion, so not lifting your leg so high and see if that helps! Another option is to stand more vertical instead of leaned over and lift the leg back and see if that helps. Once your back and core are stronger hopefully you will not feel those muscles fatiguing so quickly and you can feel it more in your booty! when doing the one leg workout, I feel a pain on my standing leg around the butt. Is this normal? It is more tiring holding the whole body on one leg than the leg that is working out.
Hi Julia! I actually get asked this question a lot in my classes - when you do that exercise, both legs are actually working. Your standing leg is holding all the weight throughout the exercise so you will definitely feel it in your standing leg! That is completely normal and a sign you are working hard! I feel like this was more for beginners; not to say this wasn't a great workout, I just think for intermediate to advanced this could be used for 'off' days

I wish I could use some of my favorite classical music for the barre video, but RUclips has very strict copyright laws so we have to use royalty free music. I will try to find some more options that you may like better for the next barre video though! : )

I love all your work outs but this one isnt balanced. You left out a side kick series on the other leg and you also left out the tricep part on the arms when you repeated the work out.
Hi Kasmira - thanks so much for leaving your thoughtful feedback. The repeated arm set does not have the additional tricep extensions because those were isolation moves, where you focus intensely on one side at a time. The repeated set includes only the movements done with both arms together but you could pause and add in more tricep work if you would like!
