Sometimes I track test for results, sometimes the Dyno doesn’t tell the story, For example Steven built me a bsrt super Stock, was very lack luster on the Dyno, made like 220, but that thing was quick, I was confused, I built a car that’s a Dyno queen 5.9 ohm, got in the mid 400’s but ain’t as fast as the bsrt 🤷🏾♂️ I can’t figure it out Mark, so I track test when I’m disappointed in Dyno numbers, that’s just my experience
That is odd, 220 is a fairly low number compared to a car in the 400's but I know what you mean, I have cars they are not Dyno killers that are very fast on the track. In general though for me if the car has very strong numbers on the Dyno it usually runs well on the track at least speed wise, handling is a whole other story, you need track time to get the handling down.
@@ray0311 I have many cars with Steven's Joker arm, I just picked up two more from him for future builds. I have never had a Joker arm not run in the 400 range.
@@timmccartney6078 You really can't compare a 6 ohm arm car to a 2.5 ohm but I do use different gearing, I use 7/23 on the 6 ohm and 7/22 on the 2.4 ohm car. Thanks
Yeah I got that Chinese power supply also, still going strong
Yeah, I run that same 10 amp, 30 Volt variable on my Viper track as well, gets the job done and seems to be good quality. Thanks!

@@marksslotcargarage Is there a difference in gear ratios? the Joker arms may be slower but might be torque monsters.
