Very cool cars. Some easy and affordable hop ups Thanks Mark
Thanks, I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my video.
Enjoy all your videos! Mark, where did you get your stools? They look like they have some padding and may be priced reasonable.
Thanks! I got the stools off Amazon, the are ok, they are by Big Red about 50 bucks each.
RUclips keeps dumping my track video share with you? Last try > ruclips.net/video/-jR9l3bexkk/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Cool, got it. SlotCarJames? Nice track! I will be helping my buddy build the same layout only in black and extended to 4x16. We will be starting the build probably in October when his new house is ready. Is it still a work in progress? I would suggest foam padding on your wood to protect your cars. Also check out my video where I added 1/4 inch foam all around the track to protect the edges. The white Sintra chips easy unfortunately just from cars crashing into the edges of the track.
I could use one of those inserts for the rail tool, very good idea. Could I buy one from you?
@@marksslotcargarage Thanks! The track is done, but I will be adding a black and white checkerboard curtain around the bottom to dress up the under side. So fur the curve side walls on the ends of the track being next to the track with no flat surfaces and the Lexan boards being against the track has so far protected it. I will be on the watch for dents and edge damage and follow your suggestion if needed. So that in one of your other videos. Thank you once again for the your commits:)
@@marksslotcargarage I'll make and send you some free. Need to know where to mail them. I noticed Viper doesn't seem to have the Lexan Borders or holders any more? I could also make you about 32 of those 1/16" border holders with screws and a Trackmate holder for under the track and trade it all with free shipping for one of your Mega G + of your choice, like Indy if possible? Either way my friend.

Wanted to share my complete track video with you. Hope this isn’t a double post, posted it once and it’s not appearing? > ruclips.net/video/-jR9l3bexkk/видео.htmlfeature=shared
You ever use the foam ,silicone covered tires ? They were so much better in my humble opinion . Been out of the hobby for a long time . Also used the slightly thinner (.0025 “as I recall ) TYCO axles for a bit of body rock for better handling . Never had problems with the gear spacing moving around . Technically the axle could only move .00125.” Helium filled hollow axles ? Makes em lighter . Ha ! Used to use the straight flat shoes ( skis we called em ) instead of bent 0:26 bumped up stock . More surface area to the rails . Also used 2 ….12volt car batteries ( deep cycle in series ) for 24 volts ,Parma 45 ohm controllers
I don't use any of that on Mega G Plus cars. I use Silly Sponge tires on my higher end race cars like my Fusion Super Stock class cars. Mega G Plus I don't really race much, I run higher end cars more since I got my Viper track. Thanks
LOL I hate when things roll into the dirtiest section of the floor.
Yup, always happens that way...lol Thanks Kenton
Ahhhh the advantages of having a screwed down track !
It is nice!
Nice video Mark, I took note of the grease and oil tip. Your Dyno, they are currently out of stock and I didn’t want to spend 200+ on it. Any other suggestions for a dyno?
Thanks! Unfortunately the VRP Dyno is the only one I know that works well, I was not happy with the price either but I use it so much I felt it was worth it. If you email VRP the will build you one, it may take a little while but you will get it, they are always out of stock on the web site.
Mark, where did you get those lexan body CLIPS to attach to the Super7s?
Steve Nunemaker on FaceBook, Porkchops Customs.
Thanks much! I learn new things every time I watch your show!
@@sguarisco-zv1ig Thanks! I appreciate that.
Throw it my way
lol, which one?
Unacceptable!!! Throw it away
Which one...lol
Mark what is the dyno showing on the red screen? Voltage? Thanks! George subscribed
No that's the speed the tires are turning. It's not really RPMs but the higher the number the faster the car. If I hit above 400 on the Dyno for a 6 ohm car that is a good number. Thanks
Nice track ! Had on Long Island NY 6 lane AFX using aftermarket 18” ,AFX 15” and 12” . 18’long x 8’ table . 9”and 12” banks and had to fudge in an extra 12” for the six lane as tight as possible . 24 volt two 12 volt deep cycle car batteries with a 24 volt charger . Parma controllers with 45 ohm resistors . 2 1/2 mile scale length . We ran stock motors with race gearing and better gravity magnets . Gave it away to my buddy because I had to move , but it’s better than ever . He made it 28’ long .
That sounds awesome! I grew up in West Islip, when I was a kid in the late 70's my buddy had a four lane AFX track up in his attic, we had a race club, the good old days...lol We raced mostly stock Magnatraction.
Jack Races like my wife, just driving to stay on the track🤣
Pretty much...lol
Mark, are you ever going to have lap racing events at your home track?
I have in the past, unfortunately the guys I race with are not big on actual racing which bums me out...lol Getting them to run an actual race is like pulling teeth. They just like to run cars. I am always trying to find more guys to come out and do some actual racing. Thanks
@@marksslotcargarage My wife is just like your friends, not competitive built her a car or 2 also got her a super 7 as well never push the cars, the only person who is competitive is my childhood buddy and he visits me 2-3 x's a year from up north. Only thing I can do is compete against myself
@@ray0311Yeah I know the feeling, I go through the same thing with my wife. My two daughters are actually competitive and like to race it's just hard to get them together.
@@marksslotcargarage running cars is fun, but I have always found that racing is where its at.
Tell me about it...Do you happen to live in South FL? LOL
I’m never buying one of those Type 3 kits again. I put it together and after just a few seconds, the motor was scalding HOT ! Auto World was very cool and sent me a complete chassis quickly and apologized. The instructions absolutely suck.
Yeah they are not the greatest, I don't have a lot of Auto World cars, a lot of guys buy them for the body and put a different chassis under them.
@@marksslotcargarage seems like a lot of money just to get a body. I just bought a bag of bodies from AW for a lot less than one of those Pit Kits. ~side note, I will buy the pit kits for the pancake style chassis if I find one I like. Those are so much easier to put together and tune.
Very nice track😊
Thanks John! I appreciate you stopping by.
Sorry I missed the live show mark
👍🏻
Thanks!
Good day all
Hi, thanks for stopping by.
Mark, James here (Slotcarjames). Finally completed my Viper Kenmoore 4x12 track (The Viper-Dome) besides lexan turn boarders. I’ll be posing a RUclips video soon. Everything came out great. I designed many 3D parts for the track that many will find interesting. I’ll be posting the 3D files free for everyone to us on thingiverse soon to. Some of the 3D parts I designed are the controller holders, gantry, spacers for the viper rail install tool, drivers panels to name few. 😊
That awesome! I will check it out for sure. Thanks!
Passing through
Thanks Kenton!
Hey Mark ,I hope you and yours are doing well. Happy July 4th to all. I am looking at getting into the S7 stuff and putting Lexan bodies on a couple of my AFX MG+ for testing. I been having a lot of Dslotting with MG+ with the bodies, even with Viper tires on the flat turns. The 1.5 chassis is the worst with multiple style bodies. I currently have a 138' AFX track and 18' drag track. I have used the AW adjustable power supply, and AFX on Expert for most testing recently.( I have an adjustable PWS that I have not had time to install yet) What S7 would you recommend for plastic track with 9" and 12" banked turns? And where did you get your yellow Pennzoil Lexan body from I saw in another video? Thanks for the videos.
I am surprised with the better tires you are having so many de-slots. You can also go with level 42 magnets for the Mega G plus, they really help with handling. As for the Super 7 I think the one Steven sells from Rooster Racing has the best overall configuration, it already comes with all the upgrades you can do to it. If you are looking for a budget S7 the base model that Terry sells on hcslots.com works well on a home AFX track. I got the yellow Pennzoil and most of my other Lexan bodies from Jay Jaap on Facebook, you can reach him via Facebook Messenger. Thanks
@@marksslotcargarage Thank You Mark. I have 52 and 42 mags and not getting a good combo on my current track config by themselves with the bodies on them. One of my fastest on stock tires with an AFX body on it long chassis is one of my slowest on the drag track if you can believe it. Of course its not me.......But it has double stacked 33 mags stock tires. The fastest is a 1.5 chassis with no body, 42 and 33 stacked with Viper pink tires. But the PINK Viper tires are faster than the white and black tires I have.....go figure? But I fear double stacking the mags will shorten the motor life. I already burned off a rear hub on my stock C8, it just fell off mid race. I am talking with Steven RR already today.
@@JDL_2020 Not sure what to make of the issue you are having with bodies on. My go to config for Mega G Plus has always been level 42 with either an HC Slots rear end setup or a Viper rear end setup. I think you will really like the Super 7, it is in a whole different class than the Mega G Plus.
@@marksslotcargarage I hopefully will find out soon enough, I jumped in feet first and ordered from Steven. I am using the stock controllers for 1 and I suck at driving them? My track goes from banked curves to flat curves/corners back to banked curves with 2 18' long straight's . I will get a couple Defalco soon now that I have made the investment in decent cars. And it will probably change my set ups, again. I was not really expecting to be chasing speed. I could go on and on like I'm sure you could with setups but I do not have all the bells and whistles many have to draw on to customize/tweak.......yet at least. I don't have a go to combo, what works in one does not work as well in others I tried, just like in real race cars. In my testing it is night and day between racing with body off, I mean by a lot. Double stacking the magnets getting the weight lower/center of gravity lower is what leads me to believe the bodies were top heavy. Hence my search for AFX G+ Lexan clips and Lexan body to test. 138' of 2 lane track 6.96 sec without a body, I can't even come close to that with a body on, let alone stay on the track. But it makes sense why all the serious racers run Lexan bodies, right? Even in real drag cars, they have very light bodies and put the weight as low as possible. Then we can't ignore the timing systems, I am using a Carrera 2 lane lap counter/timer so the times are as good as that is accurate. As for it being me, to be fair I have not had much practice the last 10 month's.
You will love the Rooster Racing Super 7 but it won't run well with a stock 120 ohm AFX controller. The 120 ohm only works with Mega G Plus cars. A Difalco with a sensitivity adjustment will help you a lot. Good luck.
Great video Mark, sorry couldn’t watch live. Thanks to Steven for the Awesome Cars! Look great and run fast. Congrats to Nobody & Mayor!!! 👍🏻
Thanks! Sorry you missed the live show but I appreciate you checking out the replay.
Where do you get the Lexan body clips??
Steve Nunemaker, you can message him on Facebook Messenger.
Oh hell, I didn’t even do anything. It was all Rich it was his idea.
LOL
When the springs get exposed to heat the tension will will be less.
That makes sense, it's been interesting to see how different the tension is on each spring.
Hey Mark, I'm using Difalco 505 controllers, they only have 2 wires what would be the wiring for that? Thanks Keith
Just remove the red center wire that goes to the controller, the rest of the wiring is the same. The negative from the supply would go straight to the passenger side of the track.

Hi Mark ... before I started collecting TYCO cars early on in my 6 ,moth of being in the hobby LOL I really thought what you do with building and tools was where I was leading to , I bought the Harden Presses and Pullers and some parts off Terry , I even gave him a ring once , cause I was looking for tyco pre maid axle .. so when there were none Tyco he told me what viper wheels to by etc etc .. my point was then I get heavily into collecting cars ... way to expensive part of the hobby ... point being I really thought I would be more into what. you do .. yeah I need some more tools , but heck the money I have spent on TYCO cars compare to had I just bought a few cars , viper , super 7 ..heck I don't even know what all theses chassis are called ... so some cars, parts and tools it would be night and day money wise ... I have one of those scales but not sure how to build it as you have it ... Anyway I dont watch your channel enough to justify wining anything .. If i happen to win anything we can regift it LOLsee ya Mark
The hobby can get expensive, just do what you like, it's all about having fun. You watch my channel more than enough to win my giveaway so don't worry about that. The Super 7 is a great car, you will love it.
I believe the reason Rich was banned was because he sent Mark one of those new fancy handy-dandy auto World four piece sheet sets for the bed
LOL, you nailed it blue, now I have to ban you as well....lol
Mark, Excellent show! This is the direction I want to go into the hobby!! I’m going start fiddling and I figuring it out but eventually would like to get into car setups like you do. I’m Amazed at the tools like the dyno I’ve seen, your down force scale you use so much, gear and hub puller. So cool. When you were pulling the spring I immediately thought he needs a mini (coil over load machine) like a Dragon Slayer. Take that for what it’s worth. 😊 Definitely appropriate the video it got me super excited to get started!
Thanks! I appreciate that. That's what's fun about the hobby, there are so many directions you can go with it.
Ban me ban me, I wanna be part of this club hahahah
Ok Mayor, you have been banned, you can't win....lol

Hey buddy, 8pm in what time zone? And tune into your RUclips channel?
Eastern time, I will being doing the giveaway during a live show. Thanks.
Can you tell what is the best controller for these cars ??
Depends on your budget. A decent controller with a sensitivity setting is your best overall option as that controller will run just about any car. If you are looking for a good budget controller the Difalco DD505 or the OS3 Lite are both good options.
Nice channel!! I also want to win
Thanks David, Good luck!

did you ever try running in the oppisite direction??
No, the track and controllers are wires for positive polarity, I can't just reverse the supply. I guess I could turn an axle around and let the car run the opposite way.
👍👍Hi Mark
