@ yeah I just thought that this might be a nice little challenge cause I’d really like to get to the AFX super G plus cars and see if I can care for those now pretty much the same set up. Gotta be careful with those car brushes, though they break easily. Thanks for your help Mark.

@@Snugster64 Do you mean the AFX G Plus? The Super G Plus uses and endbell like a Viper and has the brushes in the endbell. I was not a fan of the G Plus, it needed traction magnets...lol The Super G Plus is my favorite chassis, it is what the Viper is designed after.

@ I actually have 2 mega G’s both needing brush service. Very similar set up as Super 3. Brushes thru the brass cylinders to motor Shaft. I liked those more than the mega G plus’s with the can motor. Mods possible. I need to understand though how to get those brushes out they don’t look like they have set screws. Maybe you popped them out and then they fall out of the hole?

I am not a fan of them but others like them. I would pay a little more for a Jag or Bulldog.

They shake like crazy and will tear up your thumb. Sometimes you can but if they shake it hurts...lol

I don't run them either for the same reason, keeps the brushes cooler in my opinion. I ran them early on before I new better but have not run them in a while. Thanks

Yeah, I run mine at 18.5, level 42 is the max I would go, you can't go all out with that setup. Stock level 30 with lower rear tires is also a fun setup, a little more of a challenge to drive.

Back in the 90s,my 2boys and I raced in a club on Sundays. w,e raced magnatractions with BSRT balanced mean greens and quadralams, M cars (i was the first on my block to have one), super stock and unlimited Tycos. Tyco parts were a lot cheaper than A F X then. We slowly transitioned to Super gs but the kids grew up and the club disbanded. I still have what i raced but they have been sitting a while. I still tinker with all types from aurora to wizzard. I am 65 and refuse to grow up! Keep sharing and showing those neat videos!

Hey Snuggie, unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you. The bodies in the video are Lexan bodies, I don't see a 22 on any of mine? The yellow car is number 29. I got from Jay Jaap when he did a batch of bodies for sale. Not sure if anyone makes a hard body version.

It's been a while since I took down the AFX track, I think it was in the 40-45 foot range, my Viper track is 56 foot lap length.

The Fusion is the better handling chassis, for club racing you have to go Fusion is you want to compete. This is an older video, the $150 price was from a chassis builder, I would not pay that price I know how to build my own Fusions for around $100 bucks. It's more than a Viper for sure but worth the price with who well they handle. I am also a much better driver now than I was when I made this video...lol Thanks for watching.

Yeah for the money the Wizzard Storm is a great buy. I don't run the car very often, I have moved on to racing at the club level running mostly Fusions. One thing I remembered about the Storm was the magnets were almost too strong, you can almost go full throttle and not come off. Thanks for checking out my videos!
