- Roadfly road tests the new 2010 Acura ZDX with Advance package. This new breed of specialty luxury SUV / crossover design is definitely a love it or hate it thing. Roadfly reviews this new luxury crossover from Acura featuring a powerful 300-hp, 3.7-liter, VTEC® V-6 engine, and all wheel drive. Compare this to the more expensive BMW X6 and the less expensive Honda Crosstour amongst others. We also did something a little different with this video. I am thinking this would be a great car for my retirement. I don't care about back seat headroom and there is a whole lot more cargo space than a sedan. I also don't care so much for the look of the traditional SUV. This car is perfect for me. I like the fact that it looks different than all the cookie cutter sedans and SUVs and its really hard to find a coupe with a good AWD system. Not interested in BMW or Infinity coupes. But I will see what is available at the right time.
Always nice to see a review by a pretty girl too. =)
The outtakes are fantastic. Brings an extra human quality to the reviews.

This car was conceptualized and launched in such a bad time. The ZDX was in development since 2005.
2008: Global Financial Crisis.
2011: Tohoku Earthquake.
2011: Thailand Flooding.
2008 - 2012: Recession.
The ZDX was so fresh and innovative, it's what Honda is known for, but the market wasn't ready. The proof that Honda was on the right path with the ZDX is the current rise of coupé crossovers from Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche.

well, i dont know why people are talking about its practicality but i think its more than that, its refined and unique & thats why i love it & infact it is practical for the driver than any other car, who cares for the passengers, i dont. but am sure apart from the passengers it will be admired by the rest of the world, its different not ugly, think about today's cars in 40's or 50's or even 60's people would think they would be ugly in that time too but in reality they are unique.
i think this car is brilliant. i would love to be able to buy this car.

This is a nice unique car ! I don't where everyone is saying it's ugly 😒 I'm getting this once I start working again ... in my city there's only like 2 😭😵 I have to be quick before they get them !! I have to run for my life lol
this car is a nice looking crossover, and I was quite excited to buy one for my next car, but unfortunately the visibility is quite horrible. And the seat comfort is severely stiff. I test drove one for a very long time. pretty weak fuel economy, weak acceleration and by the time I took It back to the dealer my back was actually sore. I ended up buying an Infiniti FX instead. The FX is AMAZING and very good in the snow and ice. I really wanted to like the ZDX as I think it does look very cool!
Still...Still the comments are about her....Its an RDX review. ..the maturity of society is obvious. Jeez! When does it get old...is everyone Beavis or Butthead? Rhetorical. They trained you well.

Backseat sucks height wise, but front seat? I'm almost 6'3 and 195 lbs and no issue. nice review!
@jessilang2008 Jessi, this is bar none, the greatest video that I've ever seen with you, especially with the bloopers at the end. :) I take that you're weren't too impressed with the ZDX overall, huh? I'm like 5'7" and I STILL feel like a little midget. :P Hahahaha
I love the TL SH AWD and I like this car too because it's good looking, has the Honda VTech engine so I know it's probably fast and if you put the back seats down, I could put a bike in the back of it. Someday.
I think she'd look sexy in a '67 Fastback...
I don't really need to hear about her in every damn comment. 23 mpg hwy. sort of like only reading systolic blood pressure. But for the commoner...23 mpg is way too low. An SUV this nature should be at least 30 in 2012. A very detailed review with knowledge of very intricate parts of the car. Yeah Dude! Oh sorry, I mean well done.

a 2013 is over $50,000? I think it's the MOST expensive Acura available. That's insane with those 2005 Honda Accord wheels...
i saw one in person and i must say, it does look good, a whole lot better than the accord crosstour
Ive driven in one of these.... And i know for a fact that this car is quiet and smooth...

Acura's are very reliable vehicles. In fact, more so than Mercedes and BMW. I've owned all three brands, I can attest to that.
Granted the Acura does not have the nameplate polish of a German rival, it is considerably more reliable and efficient.
The bottom line is your getting a lot more for your money in both short and long term when compared to any other luxury brand- especially if you are buying (rather than leasing).

This car will be the "Aztek" of Acura.
Great Job on the Review, the ending was more accurate though;) lol. Personally I would choose a BMW X6 or an Infiniti FX50 before even considering the Acura ZDX, the styling isnt so bad but the functionality of the car FAILS. In terms of design the ZDX was well executed, i mean who hates modern?? But over all the car is not the best in its class, and for the standards in terms of performance and power its a bit overpriced especially for a consistant 300 HP in every trim regardless of price.

I like Acura best when it comes to luxury cars. They are the only company that "get's" luxury. Buy a Mercedes or a BMW and they come with nothing, virtually everything is an option. Acura loads their cars with option which is how a luxury automobile should be! Having said that the latest generation of Acura's haven't been the nicest looking cars. I'm also not a fan of SUV's of any manufacturer.
Oh and Jessi......I'm glad you really love your job and get deep into it, but try not to beat yourself up getting in and out of those cars LOL!
I finally had to sleep in the back of this car the other night with the seats folded down. Possible for a 6'3 male and a 4'11 female combined but still not recommended

Wish Acura didn't follow BMW on this trail cars that can't decide what they want to be. It almost makes me cry knowing that my BMW 335i is related to the X6. Either choose a sports car or a crossover......don't get one of these cars that halfway tries to be both!
I think Jessi should be harsher if she doesn't like an automobile. Her discussion of the SUV in this review gave me the impression she didn't like it, but her final comments were non-commital. ("It's one of a kind," she says. Well, so was the Pontiac Aztek, and it's ok to say the Aztek was awful, or at last say "it's a great car if you are blind and don't have to look at it, but then why would you be driving?").
Great review, I was almost ready to finance one for my wife. It seems like more trouble than it's estimated worth.

Looks better than it's sibling, the Honda accord crosstour.
IMO the only acura that is really attractive. however, beyond its exterior, i dont see much a of a reason to choose this over the competition
@Little199 i think that you need to understand that they are just doing theyre work,like every one of us,they need to work,they are in the automotive community,but dont absolutely need or want to spend the money to drive a high priced car,yes its great to have a luxury car,but i still think a car is a way of transportation,at least she owns a really reliable car,this aint to bug you buddy,just to help you understand! take care!

The ZDX is not related to the Crosstour in any way. The ZDX is based on the MDX

The female host is like the prettiest little thing i've ever seened
I took this for a test drive just for kicks, and my kids couldn't get in the back seat without bumping their knees, elbows and heads. The instrument cluster is nice once behind the steering wheel. I couldn't see myself buying this at all. Horrible front fascia and not very practical. I'm going to test out the Audi Q5 next.

See~~ that's what suprises me, cuz you guys drive high class cars everyday, how can you adjust yourself to "non leather" & v4 car after test drove a 400 hp car? I always thought that you guys would drive a bmw or mb at least.
just wanted to add to my comment that if its not practical for you, buy another car as there are many out there but its for a few people, me being one of them. Thanks Acura.

Well I'm gonna give this a thumbs up simply because Jessi is reviewing the car. Hell, I will give a thumbs up even if Jessi is doing a review for a Kia Rio. Remove Jessi out of the equation... well reality will sink it. This car is frigin ugly! I'll stick to my Infiniti FX
