Acura can easily compete with Lexus, BMW, or Infiniti in my opinion. Build quality of these cars have become phenomenal and they are extremely reliable vehicles. Great job Acura.

Up here in the Alaska interior, it gets down to -50F. I'm happy with my TLX.
I bought an Acura MDX for my family suv to to be safe in ,because it has great rateings. Now seeing this video makes me feel a lot better. How long has Acura been doing these test?
I live just East of Minneapolis, which is like 5 hours south of Baudette but it'd be so sweet to go there and test out my 2011 TL :)

I LOVE MY 2011 ACURA TL SH-AWD!!
@stangtrax Honda announced the SH-AWD 7 years ago and released the first of those systems in 2005 in the Acura RL, as it was already good enough for street use. that means they've been testing and polishing it for more than 7 years now. (they also had active torque distribution on the front-wheel drive Honda Prelude since 1997)
Honda has by far the most engineering experience (cars, motorbikes, generators, boat motors, planes, robots and lots of crazy experimental stuff)

For Finns eye all those courses could be driven with fwd Civic with just bit of confidence and good winter tires. But that looks like really nice playground!

@MrSharpAss You realize Canadians feel 144 temperature difference in some cases between our summers and our winters. -58F to 86F
nissan/vw/bently/audi/toyota/lexus/bmw/porsche etc do their cold winter testing up here in fairbanks alaska because it gets a lot colder for a lot longer
I live 4 hours south of this. But when he got in the car and just gunned it on the ice. Of course your not gonna move.. You ease the gas.

people can talk trash about honda but the company as a whole is not a joke. their R&D is some serious stuff in japan. some people view asimo as a joke but theyre way ahead of robotics and it will payoff in the future as people become more reliable on technology. their working on a brain frequency controller that could control their asimo robot with just a thought. lets say a telekinesis helmet if you would, for robots. a car company that has enough money for R&D for other projects, serious stuff
i wonder if the new NSX can do this too :)

they should have brought in the little Acura RDX for this test too.
I just wonder what would be a better car, the new FX35/50 or the MDX, somehow i like the MDX a lot, but I dont know WHY!

Its the best my friends 1998 acura integra with over 210.000 miles no issue. mines is a 2000 integra auto ls with over 140,000 no issue..@ over 27 mpg hw doing over 70 at times!
@rsxzx6r i think so, don't know if it is as intense as the Acura testing
Ppl listen he even said they were comparing how the fx and zdx feel in that course.

They did make V8s and V12s for motorsports and it was all-conquering. Honda is capable of creating those, but their objectives are different.

Infiniti FX at 3:40-3:43 on an Acura test course?
I hope that Toyota/Lexus puts their cars through this as well. Same with Nissan/Infiniti. For some reason I don't think Euro cars can handle this despite being in this kind of weather all the time.
Acura MDX SHAWD
I've been to North Dakota and in the winter it can be 15 degrees or lower and 16 " of Snow. In Minnesota Hes crying like a Baby when its only 20 degrees go to North Canada or Alaska.or at least Greenland and feel what real cold is

Im looking to purchase an 08 Acura Type S and i live in Quebec,Canada. How will the car perform in the harsh Canadian winter? will the FWD be a hassle to drive?

@MrSharpAss It was to show perspective on what is considered cold. I was pointing out that if trying to show an extreme test that -40 isn't very cold. Also the guy in the video complained about being cold. The comment has lots of relevance. Are you smart enough to figure out what relevance means or should I grab you a dictionary?

honda built a jet. it doesn't get much more impressive than that.
wow great video i want that guys job. imagine getting payed top dollar to drive an ACURA. and i like the acura designs on some cars like the TL is the one car thats redesigned that pisses me off cuz it looks soooo ugly and messy. other then that the MDX looks real nice i am alittle disappointed their was no TSX shown on this video thats my favorite car they sell right now and hope to buy it one day. but question when driving on snow your suppose to have VSA on?
