Current GTR Premium will wipe the floor with it, the 1/4 mile times for both the LFA and LC500 is sad. Even so Gtr has track edition and Nismo. I owned many Lexus in the past, they are great looking cars but very slow compared to the same class.
Price aside the LFA is a much better car. People of course will argue of the cost difference between the two cars. This was not the intent of Toyota when building the LFA. They infact don't make money from selling the 500 LFA's they built by hand. This is purely a flagship car and an engineering marvel. Just enjoy it, because many car manufacturers simply do not attempt or execute this type of perfection very often!

People... The bottom line is, rich people who want something unique and fast will get an LFA, and probably won't care if a tuner beats them once in a blue moon. And a well-off tuner will get a GT-R because it's up their alley, and probably won't care if a $400,000 supercar beats them, once in a blue moon. They're two different cars for two different markets, two different kinds of people. If Infiniti decides to make a supercar, then sure, stack it up against the LFA. But the two types of people buying these two cars really don't care about what the other is doing. Crucifying each other over specs and opinions for cars most of us will never own is stupid and childish. Live and let live
+James Steve that's not true, you cant change the sound just by adding an exhaust, you need a different crankshaft to tweak the sound of an engine, also any v6 or inline 4 will sound like a v10 you need a v10 or an inline 5 to do that

If I wanted to race on the track, I would probably get a GT-R Nismo. If I wanted to attend a ball or drive around Malibu, I would chose the LFA.

Cody Bowser They do some sort of drag racing/car show event near my house at the Floyd Bennett Airfield every few months so I see a lot of supercars and rare classics driving by my neighborhood. I've seen the Ferrari Enzo, Aventador, Porsche Carrera GT, R8 GT, a ton of GTR's, and a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder (rarest car I've ever seen but could have been a replica) just to name a few. I have yet to see an LFA. That alone shows you why the car is worth what it is.
I dont care how overpriced or uncomfortable or unrefined people say this car is, if i ever won the lottery this would be the first car i purchased. The rear end of the car is the prettiest ever designed...and of course that exhaust lol.
You can keep it. I have a Model 3 performance and it's faster 0 to 60mph and quarter mile. I have a feeling while you accomplish your dream, you will never know how awesome that speed is, unless you get the affordable Tesla.

The LFA is a beautifully balanced supercar with stunning looks, a quality interior, and an engine note that sends chills down people's spines. A Tesla is not even in the same realm as a titan like the LFA. The Tesla may be one of the quickest cars, but the LFA is the faster car. People mix quickness up with fastness way too often. Quickness is how fast a car gets up to speed, fastness is what a car can achieve on its top speed. The Tesla is indeed quicker, but the LFA in the end will still walk on past it all the way to over 200 mph while the Tesla loses steam at 170ish.

Trent Mclellan I love GTR but if you knew anything about it, you'd know that 2.7 seconds 0-60 can only be done a few times before the tranny breaks. You can't be using launch control in every race. I doubt that they used launch control in this race, which explains the 3.5 seconds. LFA looks, sounds, and in just about every way is better than GTR. It doesn't even compete with GTR. It's way out of GTR's league. It's not over priced. Any super car that has limited production will cost that much.
Rizwan Javed the GTR tranny doesn't break, after a certain point launch control will be disabled until it cools down requires a quick lap. This is not 2009 Lol

watched this dozens of times over the last 12 years, a true classic. Mototrend channel was about to blow up and become the automotive king of RUclips. Some kids who wore diapers then now own supercars and act annoying on their channels.
They make masterpieces of sports cars. The LFA speaks for itself. The GTR beat almost every single supercar in production, which made everyone have to completely redo their cars to compete.
I love me a GT-R, but nobody can argue the fact that the LFA sounds better and more aggressive than any stock car on the market (tunes and after-market exhausts excluded)
Considering the LFA is just one model, what model of gtr did they use cus there is many? There is two thing the LFA will always beat the GTR in, quality and the magnificent sound of that v10.
GTR is a beast in its own league for sure. But that LFA was a masterpiece with both elegant look and extraordinary performance. Naturally aspirated V10 revving all the way to 9000rpm leaving a symphony in the cabin is just phenomenal.
The sound of the V10 near redline makes the hairs on the back of your neck pay attention! Probably the best sounding exhaust note in any supercar with perhaps the exception of the Porsche GT!

Much like what the Hellcat was for American cars,the LFA was a gamechanger for Lexus. After her debut,people started looking at the brand much,much more closely 😳as a serious contender for build excellent performance vehicles,rather than another luxury brand that built reliable,if unspeakably dull,cars. Frankly,it would not surprise me if a LFA could go the million-mile mark without losing its edge.
LFA is exclusive and will appreciate in price. So it's an investment. A GTR depreciates. The argument is literally like this. Should I get the bigger steak aka Nissan GTR. Or the more expensive better tasting but smaller steak aka LFA. A rich person doesn't care about a GTR because everyone has one. Especially in California. Why not be different and get something special ? Every journalist knows the LFA is spectacular. Every keyboard warrior needs to realize you can't compare the two cars. They weren't made to compete with each other.
The lfa is more so a masterpiece of how well developed Japanese motors has come! It was truly to show the word how technologically advanced a car can be, and that just so happens to come with a price !
Cool cars. But some things that I don't like about the gtr is how it looks. It does not look like a sports car and looks like a tank. And the other thing is how quiet it is compared to other supercars. But overall they are impressive cars.
I honestly hold both of these examples in the highest echelon of car making and to us car enthusiasts as the best in their segments, one for collecting(LFA kept new is fetching a million plus) and one for daily driving as I still see 1st gen on road, both are supreme.
Just think about the GTR with a 3.8Ltr V6 competing with a 4 ltr V10...Its mind-blowing how that mighty R35 still manages to keep up with the LFA... Absolutely staggering 🙌🏻 Both a Masterpiece 🇯🇵❤️
The GT-R is a great and awesome car, however don't be sad about it. Porsche is just great German quality and looks great. If I had the money, it would be a really tough choice. But might actually pick the Porsche, for being a Porsche. But hey, i'm 18 lol

museapex The MK3 was very luxurious for it's time, and was the top class car of Toyota. MK4 sacrificed interior luxury for a very well equiped 2JZ. The MK3 is an absolute tank of a car, it lasts forever and is remarkably well built. The 7MGE with adjusted timing or the 1JZ variants last forever. Lots of owners have clocked 300k miles on those and are still running good. An underrated car that will cost more of a fortune when it becomes even older. But I get what you're saying, the LFA is in direct competition with the higher ups of European car-engineering and the Supra line, quality wise, never got as close as the LFA is now. When I glance at this LFA I get Supra vibrations all over the place and am sure most Mk4 fans agree. Call it a spiritual successor. Remember the MK3 exists as a Supra too! I am so defensive of this car because it's my favorite hehe, those hidden headlamps phiet phew. All in all, the Japanese are almost always ahead and the LFA proves it once more.

Somebody said the LFA looks "dated" nah, it's timeless. Sad that there were only like 500 made because richy rich thought he had to buy a German or Italian car dooming the LFA to a short production run. Guess those rich people had never driven a Japanese car to experience the unparalleled reliability and engineering quality that the Japanese are renowned for. The LF-A is single clutch, which means, slower gear changes. I still pick the LF-A, just for the sound!!
The LFA really sucks for the engine it has. It should at least hit something around 215-230mph.

I have watched this more times than I can count. I love listening to the LFA go through the gears and revving to redline each time. Music to my ears.
LFA is gorgeous in every-way and it sounds better then any other car out there.
tbh, the LFA has better sounds than an Aventador and its quite funny cause the LFA only has a 4.8 V10 and the Aventador 6.5 V12

***** don't get me wrong I think both are amazing beautiful pieces of work. I just saying that it's weird that a very limited expensive car that's full of the latest most inivative tech is barely faster (in a drag race) than a mass produced car. For me it's just that the GTR kinda breaks common sense. It's the practicality and the whole "bang for your buck" thing.
There are obvious reasons why the LFA costs so much more. It looks better, has a nicer interior, and it's damn reliable. It's like comparing a mustang gt to an ISF.
All these people complaining that the LFA is so expensive, costing 320.000 pounds new. But the people who bought one are actually very clever. Now, just four years after its introduction, secondhand LFAs go for half a million quid, and that price is bound to skyrocket within a few years. That's the advantage of a highly praised car, of which only 500 are going to be built; it's a fantastic investment.
Note that, as a replier pointed out, this does not apply in America. They will have to wait until the LF-A is officially a classic car.

Cody Bowser They do some sort of drag racing/car show event near my house at the Floyd Bennett Airfield every few months so I see a lot of supercars and rare classics driving by my neighborhood. I've seen the Ferrari Enzo, Aventador, Porsche Carrera GT, R8 GT, a ton of GTR's, and a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder (rarest car I've ever seen but could have been a replica) just to name a few. I have yet to see an LFA. That alone shows you why the car is worth what it is.
I dont care how overpriced or uncomfortable or unrefined people say this car is, if i ever won the lottery this would be the first car i purchased. The rear end of the car is the prettiest ever designed...and of course that exhaust lol.
You can keep it. I have a Model 3 performance and it's faster 0 to 60mph and quarter mile. I have a feeling while you accomplish your dream, you will never know how awesome that speed is, unless you get the affordable Tesla.

The LFA is a beautifully balanced supercar with stunning looks, a quality interior, and an engine note that sends chills down people's spines. A Tesla is not even in the same realm as a titan like the LFA. The Tesla may be one of the quickest cars, but the LFA is the faster car. People mix quickness up with fastness way too often. Quickness is how fast a car gets up to speed, fastness is what a car can achieve on its top speed. The Tesla is indeed quicker, but the LFA in the end will still walk on past it all the way to over 200 mph while the Tesla loses steam at 170ish.

Trent Mclellan I love GTR but if you knew anything about it, you'd know that 2.7 seconds 0-60 can only be done a few times before the tranny breaks. You can't be using launch control in every race. I doubt that they used launch control in this race, which explains the 3.5 seconds. LFA looks, sounds, and in just about every way is better than GTR. It doesn't even compete with GTR. It's way out of GTR's league. It's not over priced. Any super car that has limited production will cost that much.
Rizwan Javed the GTR tranny doesn't break, after a certain point launch control will be disabled until it cools down requires a quick lap. This is not 2009 Lol

Considering the LFA is just one model, what model of gtr did they use cus there is many? There is two thing the LFA will always beat the GTR in, quality and the magnificent sound of that v10.
GTR is a beast in its own league for sure. But that LFA was a masterpiece with both elegant look and extraordinary performance. Naturally aspirated V10 revving all the way to 9000rpm leaving a symphony in the cabin is just phenomenal.
The sound of the V10 near redline makes the hairs on the back of your neck pay attention! Probably the best sounding exhaust note in any supercar with perhaps the exception of the Porsche GT!

After her debut,people started looking at the brand much,much more closely 😳as a serious contender for build excellent performance vehicles,rather than another luxury brand that built reliable,if unspeakably dull,cars. LFA is exclusive and will appreciate in price. So it's an investment. A GTR depreciates. The argument is literally like this. Should I get the bigger steak aka Nissan GTR. Or the more expensive better tasting but smaller steak aka LFA. A rich person doesn't care about a GTR because everyone has one. Especially in California. Why not be different and get something special ? Every journalist knows the LFA is spectacular. Every keyboard warrior needs to realize you can't compare the two cars. I honestly hold both of these examples in the highest echelon of car making and to us car enthusiasts as the best in their segments, one for collecting(LFA kept new is fetching a million plus) and one for daily driving as I still see 1st gen on road, both are supreme.
Just further goes to show that Nissan out did the competition, the GT-R outperforms, and it's a beast...
I love both cars, and both cars have amazing history.
Just think about the GTR with a 3.8Ltr V6 competing with a 4 ltr V10...Its mind-blowing how that mighty R35 still manages to keep up with the LFA... Absolutely staggering 🙌🏻

museapex The MK3 was very luxurious for it's time, and was the top class car of Toyota. MK4 sacrificed interior luxury for a very well equiped 2JZ. The MK3 is an absolute tank of a car, it lasts forever and is remarkably well built. The 7MGE with adjusted timing or the 1JZ variants last forever. Lots of owners have clocked 300k miles on those and are still running good. An underrated car that will cost more of a fortune when it becomes even older.
But I get what you're saying, the LFA is in direct competition with the higher ups of European car-engineering and the Supra line, quality wise, never got as close as the LFA is now.
When I glance at this LFA I get Supra vibrations all over the place and am sure most Mk4 fans agree. Call it a spiritual successor.
Remember the MK3 exists as a Supra too! I am so defensive of this car because it's my favorite hehe, those hidden headlamps phiet phew.
All in all, the Japanese are almost always ahead and the LFA proves it once more.

Somebody said the LFA looks "dated" nah, it's timeless. Sad that there were only like 500 made because richy rich thought he had to buy a German or Italian car dooming the LFA to a short production run. Guess those rich people had never driven a Japanese car to experience the unparalleled reliability and engineering quality that the Japanese are renowned for. I'd take a Japanese supercar over any Euro heap, and I'm European.
