@@RockYourrMind Kirk is playing a PRS DGT (Dave Grisson sign. model) that comes with dot inlays.
Also, the old CE models came with dot inlays too, back in the late 90´s/early 00´s.

When I was young blues musicians used to tell me that the taste and tone was more important than the speed or technique. Kirk Fletcher knows this.
That's such a blanket statement. You think you're going to play classical music with inadequate technique?
@@MartinMillerGuitar no one said Kirk's technique was inadequate. It was just right. But the taste in what he chose to play was superior to what he probably could have played. He could have played a lot more notes but that would have been less tasteful. Sometimes chromatic lines and alternate picking flurries detract and not add to a song. For blues, the guitar should play lines that are like what a vocalist might do. You ever hear singers use chromatic lines and sing a ton of notes at a time as quickly as possible? Not really. So for Blues, and "Black Magic Woman" is a blues song (listen to Peter Green play it) I stand by my massive blanket statement.

Comments on the two guitar solos:
Both amazing. Kirk's ability to sprinkle notes a smidge off grid connote that laid back bluesy feel were so accustomed to from players like BB or Mayer. Martin shines when infusing his jazz runs. I know Martin is purposely working on his blues phrasing, but notice how wooden the first phrase of his solo is. Even the trill is super on grid. It just goes to show that blues feel is not as easy as it looks. The moment where I feel he was his most bluesy was here: 3:46 and it shows on his face. Great solos by amazing musicians!
