Martin's solo was perfect. I think that we as modern day guitarists get too technical at times to the point where we don't even really sound like we're playing a guitar. Martin's solo sounds like a solo only a GUITAR could play. Then he mixed in fusion runs. It was a good balance.
That's what I like about Martin's playing. He has technical skill but he also does a good job of finding melody in his solos and following the music and not being a technical slouch.
The virtuosity on display here is awe-inspiring! You don't hear great instrumental performances like this in mainstream music as much as we used to. One of the great tragedies of modern pop music is how much intricate instrumentation has diminished in its value, being replaced by repetitive sounds done by a machine. Thank you Martin Miller, and your entire ensemble, and Tom Quayle for keeping the beauty of deft guitar playing alive with your excellent covers, such as this one of Hendrix's Little Wing!

Tom quale really brought a distinct guitar sound to the song. Not a slight on anyone Everyones playing is super tight and great to listen to but tom is distinctly different from almost every other interpretation of little wing i've ever heard before on guitar. As players I have even found myself mimicking the phraseology of existing versions of the song even when not playing note for not someone else's solo. Great stuff from everyone but for me tom stood out purely for the way he handled his lead section.
As much as Tom and Martin are acknowledged MASTERS of their instruments, I don't think it's possible to overstate the the brilliance of Benny and Nico on this one. 🙏

I gave up ..everything up..music was the only thing kept my breath going and then it just died Apart from my family i have truely found love in only two places Guitar and Her .. one day they both abandoned me Cant describe what it means But … Only when you play Only when i hear you play …a song like this , a song so widespread so hugely known and heard for millions of times by everyone…And when i hear u and you revive it like a fresh air Thats the only time it ignites inside me briefly. I feel alive for few minutes…. In a cycle of thousands and thousands of minutes From the bottom of my heart @Martin Miller thank you and god bless you . Thanks for keeping it alive for me and im sure many and giving me something to feel through your playing , your sensibility and your notes . Listening to this cover is a little bittersweet. Their interpretation of the music and masterful guitar playing is spellbinding and transports me to a place where all is well in life for that short moment, but then the music ends and I realize I kind of just want to burn my guitars now as I could never hope to be as good as any of these guys. 😄

Everything here is amazing. The band is incredible. That drummer and bass player know their shit!!! Keyboard player is excellent and really knows how to draw out those tension notes. Great sounding vocals. Every guitar player up there is an incredible, inspirational talent. Martin is always tasty in his playing, great approaches to target notes and melody. Tom Q , dude, you are one of the best players ever. I've played for years, and never got my legato like yours, until you showed me how., Thank you for that. Out of the three, Nico is the best guitar player and gave the best solo, although the shortest. It's not about the legato, pals. It's not about millions of notes a minute. Blues's about feeling, about tension. Nico's got it. Truly underrated player.

Fark that note choice at 5:18 and the phrasing of it was unbelievable. Everyone is incredible, but Tom crushed me with that ultra tasty bit.
