Let's Paint Striking Scorpions: Managing Failure

It's only a failure if you let it stay that way.
It's a core principle I use in daily life. And I apply it more frequently than I care to admit when tackling Warhammer 40K painting projects.
My recent attempt at painting the Aeldar Striking Scorpions Aspect Warriors reminded me of that lesson. After buying these from an EBay reseller because Games Workshop didn't have any in stock, I was really excited to do a good job on these. And the results were less than inspiring.
So what does a hobbist do? Sometimes... sometimes we start from scratch and try better next time.

The yellow was surprisingly tough to paint to get clean lines. It seems like it would be easy because the edges are raised but nope.

I probably have to go thinner with those paints and use more layers. That's the plan for the repaint. I hope it works!
