In this video, I will show you how to paint the new Striking Scorpions from Kill Team: Salvation! I've gone for the classic green scheme - I really love the new sculpts - they are really faithful to the originals as well - way back in time haha!
I also have a full review of all the new models in the box on my Patreon - free for anyone to have a look at! Check out the link below! A huge thank you to Games Workshop for sending me these models early for review and to create some content!

That is one sexy exarch. Will get a box as soon as it gets available here
Happy New Year mate ❤️
Happy New Year!
Looking great
Thanks!
I thought I recognized that green as a salamander player myself.
i was thinking, instead of the nun oil over the green what about terradon turqouise? also happy new year
Happy new year!
It would work but I would thin it maybe 3:1 contrast medium to TT. It will be difficult to build the green back up
@@ThePaintingCoach i was thinking of a sons of horus green? Ill try it myself,
Man you out here making it look easy!
I like your colour schema but to be perfectly honest I wouldn't do the last steps (the warpstone + moot green mix and onwards). Nonetheless the Striking Scorpions are really awesome.
Great video!
Do you think something like karandis green contrast paint would work as a staring point in place of the green primer?
Thanks - you can try it over a zenithal prime 👍🏻
some titanium white makes it easier to paint yellow, or you paint yellow over a layer of pink
Do we have some old world tutorials to look forward to soon?
If I can get hold of some 🤞🏻
I love green
Nice scorpions:), any ideas for a tyranids paint scheme( I just got the leviathan box set)
Depends on what colours you like?
I think purple or red would be cool for the armour

Those Scorpions look great, the highlighting on the black parts also looks pretty good. I always wondered why the Striking Scorpions are usually seen in green armor, maybe Mike McVey remembered seeing the Spiderman villain Scorpion and took inspiration from him when first painting up these deadly Aspect Warriors way back in 1990.
This is honestly giving me a lot of ideas for basing using my rattle cans
Really nice and inspiring tutorial! I think it would be fun to really push the green even further. Maybe even using a neon green. Happy new year!
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Very excited seeing these, I've enjoyed all your vids over the year great way to close it out
Happy New Year Can't wait to see more in the new year 😊
Thanks! Happy new year to you too!
Looking excellent as always. Happy New Year!
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Was the green spray can a primer and painter in one or is it similar to the citadel mephiston red primer thing ?
Yes it's a primer and base in one 👍🏻
@@ThePaintingCoach could i do the same with the citadel mephiston red ?
Yeah - although I find putting it on over black makes it a bit more vibrant
@@ThePaintingCoach thats good to know, i am just trying to find a way to speed up with my Tyranids!!
It was me that asked you for help on instagram, the colour you suggested is sold out!! 🤦♂️😭😂
So going to try mix some greens 😧
I’m super excited to get my hands on the scorpions
They are smart models!
11 more sleeps til Striking Scorpions!
Dark Reaper is a dark cyan\teal
Thank you for the inspiration
Glad you enjoyed it!
