  • Consumers are frequently looking for natural treatments for acne and vitamin a has been of interest for a long time. Accutane is essentially a synthetically modified version of vitamin a and although it works very well for acne it does have some drawbacks. However, natural doesn't always mean safe when it comes to vitamins and supplements. Today I review a study published on the treatment of acne with generic vitamin a and we look at the efficacy, and potential side effects.
Ultimately data should win over emotions and when it comes to the hard data on efficacy and side effects, I personally believe that accutane is the winner for the treatment of cystic acne. You can come to your own conclusions though.

Thanks for the informative video! Tried Accutane for a month but had to stop due to severe side effects like nosebleeds, dry skin, and chapped lips. Surprisingly, it even triggered mild seizures... now that I know someone's epilepsy worsened, the mechanism of action of Accutane is kind of interesting...

Funny this video just launched and myt bestie yesterday was asking if retinol is vitamin A derivative why is in every food supplement. A very valid question! and my only source was chatgpt. I see most of my friends have inertia for retinol because of teratogenesis which creates the impression of a "toxic" substance.
Under this spectrum vitamin A supplements (depending on the concentration ofc) are potentially much more harmful than topic retinoids for pregnacy, correct? I am saying face is 4% of the total skin, adapalene has minimum absorption etc etc.
Second question, Oral Accutane is a direction for skin antiageing where people do follow do the best efficacy, Bryan Johnson if i remember takes twice per week. However isn't a bit problematic due to the possible implications as you mentioned?

I got super dry lips with only 5000IU of daily vitamin A. No amount of lip balm helped, so now I’m using a retinol product topically instead.

After years of dealing with forehead acne, I never expected to face new challenges with chin and cheek breakouts in my mid-20s. Planet Ayurveda’s acne medicine has truly transformed my skin. I’ve noticed a huge reduction in breakouts, and my skin texture has improved so much. I finally feel confident in my skin again

What about beta carotene instead of Vitamin A? The body is only producing as much vitamin A you need? And a overdose should not be possible.
