Is beta carotene a safer form of vitamin A, as taking too high a dose of vitamin A can be toxic? Since your body only converts as much vitamin A from beta-carotene as it needs and the rest is flushed out of your system, is this a better option?
I started taking Codeage 5 Type collagen powder for osteoarthritis 2 years ago. Skin, hair and nails are improved and joints affected by arthritis are less sore.
I'll definitely start taking collagen peptides more purposely. We have this energy drink here in Sweden with 5 grammes bovine collagen peptides, 100 mg. hyaluronic acid, plus vitamin C and Zinc. It's less than a Red Bull, so I had at least one on most days. And although I can't say for sure, I thought my skin started looking better after a while. I don't know about lines and wrinkles, but I just looked like I ate right, slept tight and were doing Pilates regularly. Edit: doesn't "autophogy" translate as "self-eating?" What kind of next level cannibalism! (I'm sorry. I'm just a Swedish language nerd.)
Would you please make a video on what we sould do for our entire bodies? I already exfoliate, use hyaluronic and other creams & lotions, use sunscreen, and exercise.. I know you deal mainly with our faces and our general health, but now that summer is coming, what could/should we do to make ALL od our skin look great? Is it ok to use DIY microneedling? What about Retin A or AHA's? What would you recommend for a self tanner that looks natural? Thanks!!😎💖
For my menopausal skin lol I dry brush and use Jergens firming self tanner then at bedtime Vaseline illuminate body oil and I also rebound ( mini trampoline) I still always look for more tightening products but my Pilates students think I look great at 56 so I try to not be hard on myself and enjoy the glow I get ! Oh ps to edit and add hubby love how soft my skin feels from all of thee above I use!
I get golden flax seed and grind it at home and put it in my oatmeal or yogurt with fruit every day. I also take the collagen supplement you recommend & liposomal vitamin C which is better absorbed because it’s encapsulated.
My problem with collagen supplements is that I use a collagen powder in coffee(no way I'd eat that yuck in cold liquid)with 5 different types of collagen which "supposedly" is better. I can take it every day for months and see ZERO improvement in my face/hair...which are my worst issues. I have seen dermatologists claim to use it every day for a year...but their face doesn't look any fuller or different...either. I am beginning to think that the only use for collagen powder is for joint and gut health...so I will continue to take it.
Thanks Doc Rajani ! I love learning from your videos - I have two questions: 1. Is it ok to take my collagen peptides with coffee (oat milk/honey) 2. Can vitamin C cause dark spots on our face? I’m a Latina and I stopped using mine because I noticed dark spots forming or resurfacing when using vitamin C/ferulic acid.

It sounds like you're doing a lot of GREAT, HEALTHY RIGHT stuff so please DON'T beat yourself up or feel any BLAME, SHAME or REGRET for the exercise. Its possible to start exercising at home with small steps. I keep a small set of weights & resistance bands next to me when I'm watching a movie or tv show & I'll lift weights, do leg lifts, do some gentle jumping jacks or use my resistance bands or rebound (jump) gently on my mini trampoline during the commercials or for a SET amount of time during a movie. Its CREATING STABLE SET TIMES or MOMENTS that help CREATE, BUILD & ESTABLISH REGULAR STABLE ROUTINES & HABITS. Try walking to the store instead of driving & carrying like weights a couple of bags home if you can or taking the stairs etc. EVERY MOVEMENT COUNTS. Try something that works for YOU & you might find its easier to DO it & STICK to it. 💙🌍
For either glucose (sugar) or vitamin C to enter the cells, they dock onto receptors on the cell surface, which then opens a gateway, allowing them into the cell. And because sugar and vitamin C are similar in chemical structure, they use the same receptors and compete with one another, The best "NATURAL" source is Camu Camu berry, which has the highest without sugar to get the vitamin C needed. It is also better to use N-acetylcysteine and glycine to boost your own natural glutathione production for oxidative stress on all parts of the body and to slow the aging process instead of introducing antioxidants which accelerates the aging process, as the body has its own balance needed between oxidation and neutralization processes that is absolutely necessary for your cells function not by inhibiting it in excess.
Please clarify: Are you saying we should add NAC/glycine to regular antioxidant supplements like vitamin C, OR should we avoid antioxidant supplements and only take NAC/glycine in order to boost our endogenous antioxidant system instead? ...Antioxidants accelerate the aging process??
@house.music.therapist8152 Correct all your body needs is it own natural glutathione production, and glutathione is the best antioxidant anyway, no need to add extra antioxidants as glutathione is self regulating, extra antioxidants does accelerate the aging process. The vitamin C is absolutely essential for the human body, just not in excess, only what is needed so not to be deficient it it. I was only responding to the video about how vitamin C, it is not easily absorbed by the body because of sugar competing with the same receptors, and you won't utilize it nearly enough, so if you need vitamin C, a natural source with all other supportive nutrients in camu camu berry powder are a better solution for vitamin C absorption because it lacks the sugar content. Look up n-acetylcysteine and glycine... aka GlyNac and Taurine as well and see the clinical studies it's pretty amazing how it slows aging .

But i jave read multiple times that taking vitamin A supplements aren't good 🤔
Is beta carotene a safer form of vitamin A, as taking too high a dose of vitamin A can be toxic?

Edit: doesn't "autophogy" translate as "self-eating?"
What kind of next level cannibalism!
(I'm sorry. I'm just a Swedish language nerd.)
❤
👍👍👍👍👍
Would you please make a video on what we sould do for our entire bodies? I already exfoliate, use hyaluronic and other creams & lotions, use sunscreen, and exercise.. I know you deal mainly with our faces and our general health, but now that summer is coming, what could/should we do to make ALL od our skin look great? Is it ok to use DIY microneedling? What about Retin A or AHA's? What would you recommend for a self tanner that looks natural? Thanks!!😎💖
All of the above lol 👍
What brand of supplement do you take for collagen and liposomal vitamin C
My problem with collagen supplements is that I use a collagen powder in coffee(no way I'd eat that yuck in cold liquid)with 5 different types of collagen which "supposedly" is better. I can take it every day for months and see ZERO improvement in my face/hair...which are my worst issues. I have seen dermatologists claim to use it every day for a year...but their face doesn't look any fuller or different...either. I am beginning to think that the only use for collagen powder is for joint and gut health...so I will continue to take it.
Try upping your vitamin C & A both oral and topical. Neck you can even by injectable vitamins that improve the skin within days of use
Try switching to marine collagen peptides collagen. Huge difference.
I have read that adding collagen to hot liquid changes the molecular structure and is no longer bio available. Is this true?
It certainly defeats what’s good in honey. And caffeine washes nutrients out.
Thanks Doc Rajani ! I love learning from your videos - I have two questions: 1. Is it ok to take my collagen peptides with coffee (oat milk/honey)
2. Can vitamin C cause dark spots on our face? I’m a Latina and I stopped using mine because I noticed dark spots forming or resurfacing when using vitamin C/ferulic acid.
Watch my video on collagen powders I review exact temps to watch for in the coffee
@@rajanimdskincare thanks again!!! ✨
Thank you so much this is such a good information I'm signed up to that you have on TV .
I should say the doctor I have a question is there any way to make your skin darker like when you were younger I used to get on the phone and get a really good tan is a important Native American but I was just curious if you could tell me something because I don't want to get skin cancer I'm sure no one wants to get the skin cancel I used to lay out in the sun I lived in Florida and the Florida Keys. A tan very well is Adam Part Cherokee I guess you could call me a hundred 57. I thank you in advance for any help you may give me. Have a good day😊
I put ground chia, flaxseed, and hydrolyzed marine Collagen in my porridge every morning, I add blueberries, banana and manuka honey to taste! And a cup of green tea with a lemon wedge. I feel its a good start to my morning!
Can I ask what collagen do you use ?
Sadly, Marine is not as effective as Bovine. If it’s working for you great!
Can I use these products to tighten my neck skin after weightloss. There is a small area under my chin that has loose skin and I can’t afford surgery right now😢
It sounds like you're doing a lot of GREAT, HEALTHY RIGHT stuff so please DON'T beat yourself up or feel any BLAME, SHAME or REGRET for the exercise. Its possible to start exercising at home with small steps. I keep a small set of weights & resistance bands next to me when I'm watching a movie or tv show & I'll lift weights, do leg lifts, do some gentle jumping jacks or use my resistance bands or rebound (jump) gently on my mini trampoline
during the commercials or for a SET amount of time during a movie. Its CREATING STABLE
SET TIMES or MOMENTS that
help CREATE, BUILD & ESTABLISH REGULAR STABLE ROUTINES & HABITS. Try walking to the store instead of driving &
carrying like weights
a couple of bags home if you can or taking the stairs etc. EVERY MOVEMENT COUNTS. Try something that works for YOU & you might find its easier to DO it & STICK to it.
💙🌍
This is a good routine ✌️🌸
I love your videos Thanks 🙏
Very good information doctor! I've got to get my mgs correct and I certainly wouldn't want to get too much vitamin A!
I had rashes when I drink cod liver oil :/ and milk thistle
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🌸
Please clarify: Are you saying we should add NAC/glycine to regular antioxidant supplements like vitamin C, OR should we avoid antioxidant supplements and only take NAC/glycine in order to boost our endogenous antioxidant system instead? ...Antioxidants accelerate the aging process??
Memo: vitamin c apply it on ur face in the morning so the uv damage during the day can be repaired
How did I go from not taking any vitamins to taking 10 every morning 💕
Hi Dr Rajani, is it possible to take too much collagen? Also, do you ship your products to UK? Thank you for video, great content!
Hey Rajani! I'm shopping around for a mothers day special on Revision Line Relaxer. How 'bout dropping it to 99$. I'm getting low and someone goes that low I'm just nervously waiting because it works and I'm hooked! Loves!
Thank you. There is a huge mothers day sale now. Did you get the newsletter from yesterday?
reach out to the team on my site
@@rajanimdskincare Yes sir!! I just want that banger of a deal!!!
@@rajanimdskincare how do we get your newsletter? Pop on your site?
I am from India, please suggest the best collagen powder
I was taking too much vitamin A and experienced hair fall out. 😅
Dr.rajani what's the most rich DMAE serum to buy
I used to include dmae but stopped. Go for volufiline or even microneedling growth factors imo. I do have a microneedling home solution
I take all these supplements and also vitamin K2. Why wasn't that mentioned? I saw your video about it awhile back. Great information!
K2 is a definite one to help mainly bone...which indirectly helps skin....but yes...love k2d3
Also as you age you lose bone mass in face
@@rajanimdskincare
Doc, K2 (besides helping bone) is also Extremely Important because it helps take calcium from our diet that might otherwise get stuck in our arteries & form deadly plague & clots & get it out of there & transport the calcium to the bones where we NEED it. Therefore K2 can help with heart health, potentially mitigating a stroke or heart attack.
Thank you for great information, much appreciated. I understand collagen can’t be taken by vegans. Is there anything else that can help with plummier skin for us vegans in addition to the tips you shared here. Thanks 😊
I’d love to know
Yes miss try flaxseed oil capsules. The nature brand to be exact.
Just eat red meat and it's associated fat. Your body will wake up and thrive on the bio available nutrients.
Good luck 🙄
I ride every day. Skin tightening is certainly NOT a perk of being in the sun, wind, and dirt!😂
How much zink should we take? Should men take slightly more than women?
Dr can I mix astaxanthin and Q10 in my cleanser, face wash. Facial mask.. And night cream? Is this combination good for orally and topically? Please answer me 💯👍👀🇵🇰
Memo: zink is necessary for collagen oroduction
I’m taking amla as my vitamin C. But I’m confused about the amount I should take.
I don't realise why anti aging models are literal teens and girls in their early 20s.
I use both ground flaxseed and chia seeds. I noticed the biggest change in my skin was when i quit drinking alcohol.
Thanks for sharing
Same here! Alcohol is terrible for your skin, not to mention the rest of your body. My biggest vice is sugar. It was easier for me to give up my beer and wine than it was to give up soda. As for the flaxseed and chia seeds, I have a container of flaxseed, chia seed and hemp seed combination that I sprinkle in my oatmeal every morning! 💜
When I’m in Monterey and I’m out in the sea, I do a layer of vitamin C or antioxidant serum, and then I put physical block sunscreen on that looks like Matthias from The Omega Man.
You forgot K2
Is a camu camu vitamin c as good as ascorbic acid?
Dr thank you so much for helping us to take the right vitamins
I drink lemon 🍋 juice everyday. Kindly let me know should I take full lemon or taking half of it ok?
But what about Silica and Copper? I heard you also need those to help collagen do its magic
Cucumbers for silica and oysters and sesame for copper
❤YOUR VIDEOS AWESOME‼️👏🏼🥰
Thank you so much!!
What kind of vitamin C is best? I've noticed there are Liposomal and Ascorbic? Would be nice to know! Thanks!
Ascorbic creates a lot of aches and pains in mý body. I always take Ester C supplements
@@marindacoetzee6760 Oh! Yeah, I remember I heard about that one a long time ago. I'll try that out! Thanks!
Krill are best left in the sea, many species rely on it to survive.
3:18 “people age much quicker now than years ago”-Doctor Rajani, can you make a video on Why so? Is that ecology? So it only applies to those living in the cities and doesn’t to those living in a country forest?
yes will do. Stay tuned
OMG Dr. Rajani!!! I would buy your plasma restore in a heartbeat but I can’t have vitamin c in supplement form due to my Interstitial Cystitis. I have to get my vitamin c from fruits & veggies that are alkaline. The acidity kills my bladder. Oh I’m so sad about this!!! I wish there were alternatives for those of us with IC.
