You explain everything so well while you are doing your work. This is very good for anyone needing to learn. You could teach youngsters a lot. Well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Adrian you are a patient, knowledgeable man with no desire to cut corners and that is all a credit to you. May I say...so are your farm and your family.
Great work as usual and love seeing the family getting mucked in with helping. You have a cracking set up there. Glad to see the Nash getting the tlc treatment alot of people wouldn't cope doing it never mind on camera. All the best and stay safe 🏴
So sorry about the mastitis outbreak, that's a scary thing, but I'm sure you're on top of it! The other things are only there to distract you... you wouldn't want to get bored now, would you? 😉 And I just love to see your girl, Nicole, out there helping you with the cows. We always need more women in farming, especially those who can (and want to) have the education that comes from being an apprentice farmer. I'm glad you're teaching her so well!
It’s nice to see the young generation take an interest in your profession because after all it is a profession helping you in her time off school and learning at the same time what is farming is all about it’s very nice to see and I’m sure as her father you get a lot of satisfaction seeing your siblings helping you out no matter how little or match it’s very satisfying at the same time spending time with your love ones
Siblings are brothers and sisters, you may have got confused. Assume Nicole is Adrian's daughter, or maybe neice, surely not his sister? I may have got confused now !!
I had a split in an obsolete, spring fed, 1/2" stop valve last week. Got a bicycle inner tube and cut it into a long ribbon, used it to bandage it up using the tension in the rubber to seal the leak. Still holding up this week. 👌🙏
Nicole ur are a great worker on the farm .it's hard to get good help keep forget fencing gear, nicole 👍.we just put it down to old age😅. Adrian .👍class video v interesting about dismantling the case.😅👍👍
that tractor looks really good for being 40 years old, just needs some maintenance, you did a grand job of fixing that, that was a very interesting and educational video, it was brilliant, your daughter seems to like working on the farm.
Check the pulsation in your parlour and check for water in the air line after milking....sometimes it’s mechanical rather than bacteria...when did you change the milk liners last.....I’m old school but I love your channel great content every time. Good luck👍
Good video. My case 956xl was nearly on the red on the temperature dash and used water. I might take a look at the radiator and pump. This video reminded me off it.
Be careful putting them brass fittings under ground. The manufacturer recommends not to. You should be using plastic. I know dearer but well worth it. Also try getting a mole plough to sink your new water mains. No damage to your grass and quick
Watching you disassemble that engine reminded Me of someone I once knew. Many Years Ago I knew a gentleman who owned a bicycle and every Saturday he would take it completely apart and clean everything before reassembling it, ready for use the next week. Then he bought a car and on Saturday true to habit he disassembled the car, in order to clean everything. Needless to say, when his wife got home from work she was livid. All of the next day he reassembled the car to the very best of his ability but when he was finished he had a pile of spare parts and an engine which wouldn’t start. On Monday morning, his wife got the local mechanic in to take a look and see what needed to be done. It took the mechanic 4 & a half days to reassemble the car and although he had been a mechanic for 30 years he frankly admitted that he was unaware that some of those items actually came apart until he tackled this rebuild. Needless to say the husband was banned from ever cleaning the car engine and parts again. And for a Month he was quite good about things, only spraying a little Lubricant and Degreaser on the engine to keep it clean looking, then he slipped and Rattle Can Painted Everything which could be seen when the Bonnet was lifted. Engine Block, Hoses, Wires, Filters, Battery, Air Intake, Radiator, Mudguards, Fan and Fan Belt, Everything. And his Colour of choice was Silver. It was a fortnight later that I found out, but didn’t have the heart to tell his wife. She didn’t discover what he’d done until the car got its first Service and her mechanic rang her with the news.
I always found that gasket will slip out when you put sealent on both sides. I always only put sealent on one side and leave the other side clean and dry and torque them to spec
Have the same problem with my calves over the past month I've isolated them, dung samples came back clear, I was feeding hay in d field because was told grass was to rich and once I've 1 sorted another has the same problem getting no answers from d vets. Let us know how you get on thanks love the channel every Sunday
Enjoy the channel. Just started watching. Helmets, wear helmets just in case of an accident. They are a pain in the ass to wear, air on the safe of caution.
as long as there are no stones in the ground .........would sooner do a trench and fill over it with fine material for a few inches to shield the pipe ........
Another good and interesting video Adrian, crazy in it,I’ve got to the point now, roll on Sunday,,,, ifarm!!! Just me thinking, the poorly calf,is she related to the poorly cow? Wondering hereditary? Anyway, great video, soon be time to get Nicole milking😀Nicole always on hand to help you.
Can you do a tutorial video on Taking the loader off the case it would help me out because I have the same loader in they ford and don’t know how to take it off any help will be appreciated
When and if you do start selling Merchandise please consider at least one t-shirt in the color of "Irish Green", no disrespect intended. I would appreciate the opportunity to purchase one. I Look forward to your future videos. Thank you for sharing.
Bit late getting to this but have you tried any non withdrawal products for mastitis? Also do you milk record? High scc cow in herd could be causing issue. 👍
My guess for the sick cow is ulcer. Watch out for black dung eventually. Calf is probably summer scour syndrome. I had to house some of mine to clear them up. They are the problems I'm having here anyway.
Me thinking cattle fed silage are not that thirsty 1/2 pipe would keep plenty pressure on for 2 or 3 drinkers 3/4 should be more than enough for a dozen replacements if 1/2 can keep them watered in summer 3/4 should be ample
There should not be any movement on the fan pulley, if there is then it’s the bearing. Thankfully water pumps aren’t to expensive and are easy to replace
If that was me I’d steam clean the radiator and put it back together only to find I was no better off then end up doing what you did and replace the radiator like I should’ve done in the first place 😡. That’s why I’m an idiot 😂😂😂😂👍
No point in scour sampling a calf that has been treated as the antibiotics will scue the results. A scour in a weaned calf this time of year is most likely coccidiosis or worms. Test the next one that starts to scour before treating. Use vecoxxan or baycox to prevent, and treat with 4 days minimum norodine or equivalent antibiotic. And just like with any scour... fluids fluids fluids
@@ranger553 summer scour syndrome is catch all term for multiple underlying issues coming together to lead to scour, its not a sepcific pathogen/disease.
It could well be hardware disease. If you give the cow a pinch along her backbone just behind her front shoulder, She should flinch and drop her back away from you. If she doesn't flinch it's because doing so is causing the wire to stick into her heart.

Must say Nicole is a credit for all the work she does on the farm
My young son thought he could pee by the electric fence on our dairy farm. It knocked him back a few feet....lol his nick name became "fence tester" !

I can teach you how to hold that electric fence to check the voltage. No bull, I work with tecno grazing all done live. Cheers Jim in NZ.

Enjoyed 👍

You should sink the new pipe with a subsoiler. It sinks it up to 3 feet and it’s a lot cheaper and quicker to do than digging a trench for it

You had a busy week
that plastic pipe is very week , ive fixed no end of bursts with it . the best of the black was class c . 22 mm fitting would fit it
There’s oceans of ways to say that particular word.
Know the feeling with mastitis four of my cows had it in my the last two weeks it sucks
And in 1950s we used touch lekky fences as kids I can remember it clearly
Probably try renting a pipe mole for the tractor? Probably make a good video 😄
Can you do a tutorial video on Taking the loader off the case it would help me out because I have the same loader in they ford and don’t know how to take it off any help will be appreciated

How come you wouldn’t just go inch for the water line to the shed? Just out of curiosity 👍
Would inclined to agree. Seems a good pull up to the shed so for the sake of upsizing to 1inch would be worth it.
Me thinking cattle fed silage are not that thirsty 1/2 pipe would keep plenty pressure on for 2 or 3 drinkers
3/4 should be more than enough for a dozen replacements if 1/2 can keep them watered in summer 3/4 should be ample
Have you done the cows for fly's lately? Might help for the mastitis.
Love the videos keep up the good work
Could the thermostat be sticking shut one in a while ??
rad is blocked solid ...........most likely cause of over heating ...........
Trencher for burying the pipe m8, much quicker than excavator 👍
I use pel tester points the direction of the fault
is it worth isolating thecalf from the rest just incsase it spreads
How much play in the waterpump and changing the thermostat will require replacement?
There should not be any movement on the fan pulley, if there is then it’s the bearing. Thankfully water pumps aren’t to expensive and are easy to replace
Always something.....
What is causing the mastitis have a bit ourselves
10:37 is that like a gasket sealent
Hi I'm thinking of rearing a few calf's from 4 week's old what would be the stocking rate per acre after their weaned
grass will not be a big part of their diet ..........its good quality calf ration that they need ........
Was waiting 😂 yeeeee haaaaw
🕯️ Rip
Well adrian what job have you other than being a farmer
RUclipsr, Dad, and lots of favours 😉
@@IFarmWeFarm keep up the good work

i would clean the rad and see how it went .........might be as good as the spurious rad that is being fitted .......

Can’t believe anyone is using “new” brass fittings these days. It’s never easy but plastic is a must do….
Not always, most people don’t use brass fittings cause there awkward to use. I use philmac to but would pick brass for light gauge under ground.

Philmac u need lad....🙄🤔
I use Philmac too but don’t have faith using them on that half inch light gauge. Had bad results.
Did u ever get charged at by a bull
Yes nearly killed by a bill years ago
hence the reason there’s no bulls here. I didn’t a video on it a while back.
A ride in the trailer will fix the problem with your cow!
buy yourself philmac plastic fittings and dump that box of stuff
It’s half full of philmac, there handy for some jobs but not all
