Thanks, I just started playing ark about a week ago, wasn't sure about the game at first but I stuck with it and am now addicted. I've only been on the island so far, not touching the other maps but it was nice to see what they are about
there are alot of free dlc maps, i recommend playing one of them if you dont wanna buy one of the paid ones

Scorched earth on hardcore has to be one if not the best experience ive had in gaming. It was just mindblowing. There was less to do than normally and it is sad that not all creatures exist but it was just so captivating

Big doubts on that, using cyber punk tactics pulling in a celeb off the back end of hype, the fast n furious movies and them family memes probably did it then they drop the God of War storyline garbage, using his kid? Noone wants that lolol, third off go play official and tell me in any capacity you have faith they can even manage their game lmfao, it can't even handle its own building mechanics lmfaoo, ark 2 will be a mess, do not buy

@@bigbrisk8423 the original game was literally created in a few weeks. Yeah, it's shitty that they haven't done more to fix the bugs, but a much larger budget and more direct plan is better than how the first game was made.
You don't have to buy it, but everyone crying about a game that hasn't even shown gameplay yet is pathetic.

@@jefferylittleton1005 You need gameplay footage to realise that target lock isn't something that works for ARK, because it's never been needed? Or the complete removal of first person, yet claim 3rd is so much more immersive? The only thing that's obvious, from their own statements, is console is now the focus.
Budget obviously isn't the be all and end all, and in this case it's definitely not the case, due to the aforementioned lazy development angle they're taking. More like they saw some things that worked in other games so why not just toss it all into Ark 2? Flawed logic at best.
I love how basically every map after Aberration features some sort of zone like it.

Thanks for the video! I got Ark back in Early Access, I never had the DLC's except maybe 2 or 3 of them. I was looking to play again but Steam says this is a massive 450GB download and install now thanks to all of the new content. This is a great overview and I appreciate the explanations, because I don't want to use every DLC the Tek ones seem too excessive in my opinion.
You know what would be cool? A fan made map that is essentially a fusion of every map (ignoring Genesis parts 1 and 2 and possibly parts of extinction map and surface gimmick of abberation). Although I guess the engine limitations would be a problem, idk.

There has been one more new official map announced at the Extra Life stream! They are making the mod, Fjordur, an official map that will be coming to consoles in 2022.
How do I play a map with mythical creatures on ark mobile?

i just want a map where its super unique and its moderately big and has most or all creatures
and if possible, instead of biomes, there’s seasonal change in the map like after 60 days in the map it changes into spring or smth
and in singleplayer or some other occasions, going into a cryopod and hibernating for the next season change is something you can do
I think the newest one fjordur, which was announced after I made this video is probably closest to what you are looking for. No season maps though, but I think there is a modder named codigoalex that is working on a map that has seasons!
I think abberation is the closest it has seasons its unique and its big, has a lot of creatures.
@@shaqshaw7726 Aberration only have 59 creatures while every other map have more than a 100
Edit: Scorched Earth have 57 creatures but it's the only one with less than a 100 besides Aberration
@@torradasuprema395 if you use an expansion mod you get get an extra like 30 creatures added to abberation, it kind of fucks up the spawns a little bit but it's kind of cool getting abberant versions of previously unavailable creatures.
Funnily enough I actually found scorched earth to be easier than the island I think it’s because since it’s a flat desert, it was easier to see dangerous creatures from far away so I could avoid them easier and finding water bugs was not as difficult as it was supposed to be well. I did gain a special hatred for killer birds on that map.

I spent so many years trying and failing as a noob on the Island. Now trying out Valgeuro now that i’m older and all the dlcs are free on xbox gamepass currently

I have been interested in this game since they started working on it, but for whatever reason never bought it. I got it on steam when it was free couple weeks ago, been enjoying it.

All i want to do is explore the beautiful places & walk along side & take pictures of the dinosaurs/creatures. Basically a dinosaur walking sim.
So that's why neebs and the crew kept stealing the wyvern eggs that's a cool mechanic to get them I like it.

Which map would you recommend for two friends brand new to ARK and survival games in general (having only played "Grounded" before) that want to play co op on a private server?
I'd say start with the island for the original experience personally. But you can't go wrong with Ragnarok either if you want a map with the a few mythical creatures like the griffin and wyverns. Enjoy! 😊
where are the pink trees found?
you ever wonder how you're supposed to "beat" ark without the wiki to find caves? like they really expected players to just stumble across them all? Even with the wiki i sitll have trouble finding them sometimes lmao.
Idk I’ve seen some playthroughs where ppl didn’t use the wiki and weren’t told where they were they just looked around on flyers and found all the caves
If you animal search the megalania and bats will give it away
Loved this vid🥰 I’ve only been playing Ark for a month but I’ve tried out most of the maps so I want to rate them!
Story Maps:
The Island: 7/10 Haven’t played it much but I like how it’s mostly just prehistoric creatures
Scorched Earth: 8/10 The creatures it added are cool and I like the different weather conditions
Aberration: 10/10 Love this map so much. It’s a good challenge and I like how different it is to the other maps
Extinction: 6/10 It’s good and the scenery is nice but it runs significantly worse on my Xbox than all the other maps. Dinos look so bad up close lol
Genesis: Haven’t played
Genesis 2: Haven’t played
DLC Maps:
The Centre: Haven’t played
Ragnarok: 5/10 umm haven’t played this one much tbh. I just bred a rainbow raptor army on it and haven’t played it since 💀
Valguero: 6/10 I like this map. The white cliffs are pretty but going through forests on this map is a pain because microraptors seem to attack in swarms
Crystal Isles: 7/10 So pretty. Crystal wyverns are the best wyvern imo
Lost Island: 4/10 Forests and jungles stress me out in ark and this one is covered with them so it’s understandable why this one is not a fav of mine
Fjordur: 9/10 This map is great. It’s the first one I played on and even tho it was a struggle to survive at first because of the cold, I ended up playing this for hours and it’s probably the map I’ve played on the most :D

To be honest, I hate the waters and don't do much ocean exploring. But I'm pretty sure The Center or Ragnarok have pretty awesome oceans. :)
Can all the tames be transferred across maps? Super curious about the giant turtle and space whales
If you ourchase the dlc maps, do you need to keep your system (xboxone) connected online to play on them? Or can you download them and play offline once installed?

Thanks dude I really like this channel! You're so calm and peaceful I instantly subscribed compared to other ark channels especially because you also cover Xbox Content. I have a question however. I've only ever played Ark On. Mobile and I'm finally gonna buy an Xbox One, is the game still active?? Or is it dwindling in players or emptyish? Because I want that ark experience or joining a big tribe and raiding and etc does that stuff still happen? Im sure it does I just have to join a PvP casual map instead of the hardcore ones same as on mobile but I'd like to hear players opinion if Xbox is still active. I had an amazing time playing 100 hours in solo play on Ark Mobile and I didn't even build any houses I just lived on a boat and didn't advance past wooden blocks seriously by still played 100 hours so I'm sure il love it way more on Xbox but if like to do multiplayer as well and be a sneak thief and raid people and do all that evil stuff like knock players out and drag them back to a prison and make them fight small dinosaurs for my amusement lol
Thanks! I would definitely say the Xbox community is still very strong for Ark. It's even included on the Xbox Game Pass, which is totally the best deal and makes it open to a lot of players. It doesn't run well on the older xbox one though, it plays fine on my xbox one x, and I'd imagine would be best on the new series s or series x. Then you'll be ready to go when Ark 2 comes out too. :)
@@ArkSolo thanks dude!! Glad to hear it. When I played on Mobile it was such an awesome game. I was a huge coward and I lived on a boat house without a roof ! On Herbivore island because the mainland was too strong but I had a Sarco and the Pteradon to fly and I never got a stronger Dino than a Trike because the bash attack with kickback kept me safe lol. I'm super excited. I like to make my character as short as possible because then all the dinosaurs seem way bigger and the game gets way scarier lol that's my wisdom to you, a pro, a humble gift in return for your answer

ok im back rewatching this LoL and after 350 hours in. ive played 300+ solo and a tiny bit on official. if and when an event comes around like atm its the pax double xp and colors galour thing, does that transfer to solo or will i only get event stuff on live servers? as well as the chibis??
I think most events apply automatically to single player, though sometimes you might need to do a wild dino wipe through admin commands. Or just kill as many as you can so some event color dinos can spawn.

There’s a website that tells you ps4 stats, you can see them from there. I cant remember its name now but if you search up you’ll find it for sure
I actually found the one I used, it's called exophase, however there are a ton of sites that do the same thing. Hope this helps

I don't think any map has them all, but the last 2 dlc map lost island and fjordur probably have the most.

Mmm, I think it just depends on your server settings, but I don't do a lot of transferring between maps and mostly play single player so I'm not sure how it all works.
Played original ark didn't play since my house got deleted by the swamp and i rage quited
Imma be honest I hate the island. It’s boring and preparing for all four bosses is a pain. How you can pump near max fortitude and still freeze to death in the final area and the near impossibility of leading npc Dinos Thro the tek cave is just. BARF.
The artifact caves arent great either

I haven't played mobile, but I think it may be limited to just one map.

i just started the game....its amazing but reusing bosses on almost every map is weak design.
I think the maps that didn't come from mods mostly did have new bosses, but the ones made official that were originally mod maps used a lot of the bosses from the official game instead of adding their own.
