Eamon & Bec moved to a cabin in the woods in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Little did they know they would fall in love with DIY projects and renovating their space into the home of their dreams. Four years later and the renovations continue as their family expands and they need more room to host! This project took over 6 months to complete as they converted their greenhouse (not much for the whole green thumbs) that was previously built inside a beautiful Artic Acres Geodesic Dome arcticacres.ca/. Because they now split time between Toronto and the cabin the idea of growing their own veggies became further and farther fetched. So, of course the next move was to convert the space into the first independent guest cabin on the property. Maybe it's the first of many!?!?

Your openness with the impact Lee's passing had on your lives during one podcast legitimately stopped my own attempt. Watching Bec go through cancer treatment has given me strength during my chronic health struggles. Seeing Eamon become a dad and the huge impact that's had on him has never failed to put a smile on my face. I think the two of you really embody facing whatever life gives you head on and it's really a joy to watch that from afar

i cant tell you how much happiness it brings me to see you thriving again. frankie is the cutest little bean ever. you have grown into such mature adults and parents while still maintaining your active life. as someone who has recently become temporarily unable to walk more than 50 yards without an entire evening of unbearable pain due to injuries in my right leg, it gives me resolve to keep my chin up and keep going after watching everything you all have been through in the past few years. and eamon, i watched :) i was impressed and felt pride seeing you tackle what is very scary to alot of people. big luv for you all. and HI GRANDPAS! always lovely to see Bob :)

Glad your back. Love the whole greenhouse room. I would have put down a Styrofoam insulation and vapor barrier before the floor boards. You're opening yourselves up to moisture and mildew. Frankie is gorgeous!
I am worried about the shower over spray for that reason but maybe it can be a subfloor add that barrier and then put in protected flooring. Still better than anything I could make and I love the concept. Add a dehumidifier just in case and voila chefs kiss. ;) Gorgeous

the geodesic guest house is a great idea! We live in central Ohio and we were lucky enough to see the eclipse in full totality.... We had I think 5 minutes of darkness. It was SO AWESOME. We had an eclipse party, and we had two doggies there, and when it went to total darkness, they both laid down and never made a peep during the darkness, and the birds all went SILENT!!!! This is such a cool over time video.... I also LOVE that Eamon "works smarter, not harder" when he took the blower in to clean the walls and ceiling.. lots of folks would have taken a broom and it would have taken much longer.. I will put THAT tip in the back of my :hat rack" for future reference....

You needed plastic on ground so moisture doesn't come through then fiberboard to help keep out cold. The would on ground will rot and it's not even pressure treated!!!
