Nice. I work on this every day with my ACD. He is getting better. Distractions are tough, though! Lol. His biggest issue is being reactive around new dogs when we pass them on the trail or in the park. Thanks!
Same bro! I live in the ghetto so there are a lot of loose dogs and just a lot of dogs behind fences used for protection so I’m training my stumpy tail to relax, having a well trained pitbull already helps him follow and relax, learning real quick, goodluck brother 👌🏼

I've seen people hunt on horse back with German Shorthair. Man do they cover the ground.

I know this video is older but it's the first one I watched from you. Very good session! You do a great job of explaining what happens during the process. I swear you say the exact same things I do, regarding letting them get distracted, making them get close enough, "reel them in", etc. I wonder if we learned from the same source?!

he was a terror from 9 months to 13 months. Stick with it during this time! Very important to be more consistent than ever.

How long is your long leash? 20ft?
Ps. Yes! Recall is what I need bc Gary is "too good for the leash." So as my punishment for 3 45-60 min walks a day, is him eating the leash lol. He also i believe, enjoys embarrassing me on walks bc his little 24 pound butt drags me from one side of the street to the other. Also, I have MS & my legs hurt all the time. I love Gary. He saves my life, but bruh do my legs hurt.

@@diydogguy so what do you do with cowboy when you work horses? I end up putting my boy on my side patio in the shade with a kid pool. I used to tie my old one up in the shade by the arena….
@@jhamner9484 Horses are something we have gotten better around but he's still working on. I don't fully trust him and don't want him to get kicked to outer space. But our latest video about impulse control helps a lot around horses and I'm seeing improvements.
