Thanks for showing a cine rig build, Jordan. Really looking forward to your B roll test with the EF mount and full 6K sensor. All of the other tests I've seen have been from broadcast shooters using B4 lenses with the sensor cropped down. I'm looking at getting this camera for filmmaking primarily with streaming and broadcast as backups, so it's a little frustrating that there aren't many 6K examples out there.
Awesome! Can’t wait for you to show us the comparison tests with the pocket 6K. There aren’t any videos really online about the broadcast G2. I’ve been really curious about it because I think it would be the perfect A cam to the pocket 6K. I love the 6K sensor, I used to have the Ursa mini G2 4.6 K but sold it because I hated the fix pattern noise in the shadows. I also never liked the way it rendered skin and I thought the skin tones rendered thin. But when I got the 6K I fell in love with it. It’s made me a bunch of money over the last couple of years and I love it. Can’t wait to see your footage, especially because you’re a talented guy that knows how to get a good filmic image out of the pocket 6K. Looking forward to see all the cinema magic.
Thanks for watching it! I’m stoked to test them out for sure, I’m going to try and be as brutally honest as possible but I agree, I think this will complement the 6k well!
Just got this camera from Vocas in the Netherlands, even found a decent B4 SD lens, I can tell you, in 4K, the SD lens has NO VIGNETTING at all! I will check the exact lens name if you're interested. I'll be following all your vids about this camera! Thank you so much.
@@jordanvp No problem, Im seriously curious is it really the same sensor inside. Had to sell my pocket 6K before buying G2 6K, so didn't have change to check iso performance for egz. Regards.
I'm looking at getting this instead of the 6k pro...wonder why they added 5.3k mode? I believe the pocket 6k/pro had 5.7k which reduced rolling shutter? Many thanks for the video
It’s definitely better than the 6K but still not great. I did a side by side test with them both, but I’ve been having issues with the Ursa BRAW files, still trying to figure it out so I can get the next episode up!
No not really since this is specified as a broadcast camera. I think it’s pretty solid for a broadcast camera tho, the fact that you can use the 6k sensor shooting BRAW is excellent. I think most people interested in this cam will be looking specifically for the hybrid of cinema/broadcast camera.
I have never wanted to pull off a protective screen more than when watching this! :)
Hahaha sorry…I was actually borrowing this one so I didn’t want to take it off 😂
lol that's funny
got an operating job this weekend on one of these bad boys. feelin more confident that i can set up quickly after watching this video. thanks dude!
Glad this was helpful!
Very nice tour of the camera. New sub - excited to see your footage!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for this helpful overview!
Happy to help, thanks for the feedback!
Enjoy it. I just got mines, and haven't really gotten a chance to use it. It's FREEZING here in NJ.

Im glad to hear this was helpful! I’m definitely excited to share the footage, should be out in a week or two!
I'm loving mine, best camera I have owned thus far, so much better than my G1

@@jordanvp awesome. Remember To get some skin tone in there. Thanks
Can you please do a extender menu walktrough and explain the settings. For us that are not familiar with al those video terms and settings
Beautiful rig, I have 2 BMPCC4K but I'm thinking about upgrading to this badboy.
Tbh I love having the ability to crop in! It’s really an excellent camera!

Nice! That’s good to know! I do not have any B4 lenses to test, only EF so I will mention that in my test!
Can you share what lens you're referring to?
Amazing!! Can you test the rolling shutter plz?
Thank you! Yes that’s on my list!

Did you make this pocket 6K vs Ursa 6K comparison?
I didn't sorry, I changed jobs shortly after this video and lost access to the ursa I was borrowing.

Yeah not sure why they did that lol…I do often shoot in 5.3k tho for the 60fps and it still works well!
What's the autofocus like?

Does the lack of codecs bother you at all? In comparison to the 6k?

Hi Jordan, actually i am looking for an answer, does this ursa broadcast camera allow ninja v to record externally?
I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t allow you to do so!
Show us some Footage :)
for broadcast you need the canon 50-1000 or go home; that 24mm and a matte box is not for the job
I would agree, I did however specify I was building a cine rig and not a broadcast rig.
@@jordanvp it's a joke, that's a 70k usd lens
😂
