Really appreciate your videos man! Also watched your reflection video and I just want to say that you're a big inspiration to me in terms of putting myself out there for projects. Thank you.
Shot on the Ursa the other day. Damn the tacticle feedback of the flip switches on it are so so nice. Shooting from the waist with a vmount is slightly annoying as it sticks out a bit but the side grip makes up for it. Side grip with follow focus and record button would be perfect. Top handle and side grip deffo a must. I do like how the 4K/6K handle highlights tho but there is just that extra juicyness in shadows on the Ursa (totally uneducated, only had it for 2 days with the cp3s). One thing that annoys me with Shinobi (got HDMI one) is the power button. Sometimes it doesnt turn on/off properly, takes few tries. Also 5" is just a bit small the 7" would be little more ideal. Super clean setup, the monitor on the arm is neat for the handheld/shoulder mode.
Nice rig, a lot of similitudes with mine ! Are you using C-Fast cards ? Any recommendations ? Quick advice to avoid frying your SDI ports (camera and monitor) : never plug a SDI cable when there is already power going threw the concerned devices (camera and monitor). In other words, plug the SDI cable last and unplug it first. For the same reason, I also suggest you to disconnect the SDI cable when changing batteries. You can find more details on ARRI's "Preventing Damage to SDI Outputs" documentation. Hope this helps :) Have a great day !
Bro, if you’re not recording externally - go with SmallHD. I barely ever see Atomos on set and the SmallHD Menu system and durability are so much better
Hey Carlo, great video as always! I'm actually thinking about getting this wonderful camera, coming from a Pocket 6K, which will become my B-cam (I love it). My only doubt is about color science. I know that the G2 is still on GEN 4, when all the other pockets and the 12K got the GEN 5 directly on camera. I also understood that you can switch from GEN 4 to 5 in Davinci Resolve, even with the Ursa G2 files, as long as you shoot in RAW. My doubt: is that the same as getting a GEN 5 directly from the camera or is a GEN 4 which Davinci tries to convert in GEN 5?
Where did you find that closed loop top handle and the cheese plate with nato rails? I have pretty much everything else you have but have been wanting to try a new top plate and handle
I feel like Smallrig is on par with wooden camera minus the insane prices for basic shit. Smallrig: nato rail adapter is 20 to 50 bucks Wooden camera: nato rail adapter is 140 bucks 😆
Dang, that was practical.

Thanks for the video. Can you please suggest how the focus adjustment can be handled in mini ursa in easy way without focus puller

Awesome video. Really inspiring to take that next step. What camera are you using to shoot your talking head vids?
Hey Carlo, how is the reliability of the G2? Have you had any issues or concerns? You trust it? Thank you
Have u tried using the nucleus follow focus handle?
Thanks man!
5'6" here. I understand your issues!
