    My M365 with a 92v controller and 86v 40ah battery I got up to 66mph but the motor was VERY hot, I could actually hear the metal ticking on it. Annnd.. Yea, it doesn't work anymore because I went onto the highway with it so I could get somewhere but just before I got off the highway, it overheated and I could hear some crunching grinding sound coming from it. I did weigh about 82kg back then.
    Max speed - 66-68MPH
    Max distance - 80+ miles (It could of kept going, it could be 120 miles, I'm not sure... didn't fully test due to the motor dying during that test)

      Thats insane honestly was it on stock motor did you do any other modifications in or outside the scooter?
      What type of controller did you use cuz why did thr video didnt reach that far
      Sorry for your lose in the next motor try do stupid idea which drill it and make like air vents to cool the motor or glue like fins finz like fan blade or something to make the air more focused on the motor but good job am really impressed with your work cuz m365 on highway and high speed with no suspension is super sketchy when i drove one of these felt off on 25kmh so what will happen on high speed

    Good test! Very interesting to see the components of the scooter handle the higher voltage. My guess as to why the 80V had less speed is due to the amount of cells in parallel in that 80V pack. Maybe hooking up another 80V pack in parallel would help sustain such a higher current demand.

      Same he does not post enough or something. where did you get the controller? I ran 72v on my bike controller for over a year. It finally stopped working. seems like 81 volts wont work. but 80 would. One day I pushed it over 81 volts and the 63 volt caps finally popped. and that made my batteries fuses blow.

    The reason to why the 60v was faster than the 80v was all because of amps I have a e300 escooter and when I use two 1.5amp is series which is 36v 1.5 amp it is rlly slow because the amps don’t have the power to pull me but when I use my 5amp drill battery’s it flys.

    • @8pyy
      @8pyy Год назад

      I think cuz ah= tourqe the higher it gets the more insane 0 to top speed you get
      With the 1.5amp its possible to reach top speed but itll drain fast cuz not enough to supply constant 60v on the system thats why feels very low on power but if you went from down hill then straight road you will see that itll handle the top speed fine

    Could the C rating of the 80V battery be at fault, maybe? And so the motor could only draw a lower current, limiting its top speed? Maybe that was the reason why the no load test showed such a high speed, because it didn't require much current to spin up. Also, perhaps the 60V battery had a much higher C rating.
    Tell me if I'm misunderstanding something here.
    Edit: oops, just looked up C rating a bit more and I seem to have misunderstood it. Is it just a "suggestion" for the maximum safe current draw, before any damage occurs inside the battery?

    • @8pyy
      @8pyy Год назад

      Most 36v motors handle 52v fine but you must keep in track the cooling and how you drive it most of the time if you hit full throttle all the time the power gets wasted in heat due to low amg rating on the wires so get thick wire and stick in the motor and itll last you much better
      Since you said 48v dont mind itll br pretty fine they can handle it if you got always good weather itll be fine but hot just try to see if the motor heats

  • @ilyasergeev8634
    @ilyasergeev8634 3 года назад +1

    And also I’m quite surprised that the motor can take that much power to go 27 mph, it is rated at 250 - 350 W no more, how didn’t it overheat, what’s the ambient temperature during your tests? I don’t think the battery is rated to discharge in under 30 min either.

    • @archietheproto7706
      @archietheproto7706 2 года назад +1

      Motors can typically be pushed quite a bit past their normal operating parameters. Manufacturers are usually very conservative with how far they push their motors. Motor overheating becomes problematic when the enamel insulation on the coils reaches about 200c, at which point it melts and causes a short, leading to lower motor resistance and much higher current draw, aka fire. These smaller motors use thinner gauge wire, which can't handle as much current as thicker wire, but it still takes a lot of current to heat it up to 200c. Quite a bit more than is required to spin the motor at 27mph with a load

    I am so impressed bro I really am you r like a scooter god
    I have seen the test paper u did. Wow
    Y I say wow is I got a MICROGO M5 it’s 36v 350w . It’s about 18kg it gos 19-21 mph but as I am doing 21mph u can fill something is pulling it back so I am sure it will go fast this moter just need to no y it will not go past when it fills like it’s go more.
    Now this is the fun part. I got a E TWoW and it’s about 11kg and putting the moter 350w and controller all the bits from the MICROGO on to this. So it’s much faster and quicker. But still it’s like it’s restricting at top speed.
    Now as other scooter I.e mates one go 15mph ish Ishod be happy witch I am.
    Is 19-21mph fast for a scooter like mine.
    Now if I add 6v on a relay to the 36v and use a button to add 6v =42v or 12v=48v is it worth doing the added 6v as it don’t seem u got much more out of it. And like I say there’s something holding this back as it’s got more to give. Can u please help me scooter god.
    Please some advice.
    Will a stock 36v controller will it take42v or will it just go wide open and blow. Will I see much more on a 350w or is it better to go for the 500w .
    I no the controller will need to be swoped but if there not much In it then no point.
    Plus with a 500w moter am I better off getting a controller that’s for 500w will it give more .
    Is it V or amps or W that makes u go faster
    Please help save me wasting cash on things I don’t need .
    Thank u scooter god

    I know why the 80v and 60v is a disappointment, the 80v is prolly a 1p battery that means there's just 20cell of 2.5ah in series 1 18650 cell can not do more than 10a continuous, when you try to go at more than 30kph due to the wind the resistance of ur body to the air ur weight and others factors, to reach higher speed u need more power not just voltage so a good 20a continous on 80v could get u at more than 35mph easily, when there's no load it could go at 45mph since there's no resistance, idk if i was understandable English is not my native language 😂

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  3 года назад +3

      The Kobalt 80V battery is a power tool designed for big outdoor tools like chain saw, lawn mower, blower... It' has 18650 cells inside but those are not regular 10A discharge cells. THey can do up to 30A continuous discharge. So it's more than capable for this scooter.

    • @nelsonfigueroa3198
      @nelsonfigueroa3198 3 года назад +3

      @@vuaeco *Do at your own risk* The BMS inside that battery is the limiting factor. I wired two 36 volt scooter batteries wich have 30 18650 cells ......2 in series making 84.5 volts fully charged. By bypassing its bms and tapping directly to the end of the cells i can achieve a top speed of 45 mph with no stall on my fat ebike which weighs about 150 lbs plus me 225 lbs. If i went through the bms it would only allow me to achieve 25 mph top speed with cutout power stall due to battery bms amp output restriction. Been doing this for more than 2 years now. * Not recommended because it can cause a fire if you overheat the batteries.*

      You have a lil bit of mis info in there, all electric motors have no maximum voltage rating. Ive ran 2.4 volt motors on 24 volts continuosly for 2 hours before burning it up. A maximum voltage rating is a marketing tactic. Basically you have a better chance of frying your controller before your motor.

      you mean your small Wide wheel pro you mentioned in your video? LMAO
      The only "kick"-escooters I've ever seen that can go 80-100mph are RIONs and some heavily modified Singaporean Dualtron X.
      I myself got ordered an 88.2v Rion last month that weights 68ibs with an estimated real performance of about 30-40kW being able to launch you to 75-80mph and going from 0-60 in 4-5 seconds (I will measure and confirm this with Draggy in the future).
      The price for that thing was definitely an awful premium with more than 10 grand but I'll tell you that this thing will be one hell of a toy 😋
      I've ridden sport bikes and race-cars that go 200mph+ but nothing compares to the rush you get while standing on a freakin kick-scooter and flying over the street, let alone the pure understatement-factor this thing offers - it will be awesome.
