Nice work man. Big thank you for this video, i just start me own firs battery pack and thanks to you i got it everything nicely done. Now i will do another one of 48v 13s 4p. With Bluetooth controller. THANKS !!!
@@HBV90 do you work on the ninebot g30lp
Excellent video and great explanation of BMS cell balancing wiring, I feel very strong about this topic now.
This was my favorite video of all time, thank you
I finally got some samsung 20r's I will build this for my pioneer. Thanks for the guide!
Great video bro...only thing is that I wired the fuse in the bag for easy access.
That’s it I’m making my own Tesla
Good job very inspiring and I like also the speakers
Can u make a video on changing the deck pad? the surface on the place where you stand
do you know what brand those cells are? I am planning on making a high wattage power bank (450watts) using my old battery in my hover 1 pioneer
Bro love your video man great help I need some advice do you have any layouts of your battery of soldering your nickel strip will greatly appreciate your help thanks
If I wanted to add an external battery but just buy one already made, what would you recommend I get and would the connection be similar to what you did?
What if you added another wheel to the back? Would it be any different. Or wouldn't it be any use? Good build. What amp were the batteries?
I didn't get to which cables you soldered the fuse cable do you have a diagram?
Just a question.
i currently own a zinc eco plus which has a 36v 250w battery.i am mainly looking for more speed because my scooter currently goes 25km.Any suggestions?
Nice Vid! I also have a Hover1 Pioneer, just wondering if I am able to use 48v battery pack instead of 36v? I would not run them in parallel btw
Where can i get the black cable you use to make the battery connection and thanks
I have this scooter it fell one time and the display screen is cracked and has a black mark. U think there’s any way to fix it or where to find a replacement or upgrade ???
Thats awesome!
how did you balance charge your external pack? the little red plug on the original battery....
Can I get an external pack and just plug it into the charge port?
do you recommend quitting the white speed limiter cable?
I got a 10000mah 41.5v battery in my scooter what would be a good pack to buy / DIY as a external battery? It is only 16mph
Nice work. How do I PM you if I need to purchase the external battery you made in the video ?
Cool modes man. I have similar one but the battery is glued inside and can not see how many amp hours it is. All I know is 48V. Can I measure the AMH somehow. Im thinking about external. I know they have to be same V but not sure for the AMH.
Why did you choose 30A BMS? How did you decide on 30A BMS and not less/more, can you explain?
Do the battery’s have to be the same amp hour my scooter is 7.8 and bike another scooter is 10.4
Hi may i know the battery u bought on aliexpress are china cells right?
Can I buy a battery pack from you? Same voltage. I don’t have the spot welder. Thanks
I’m just getting into the scooter gang I want to use this for the beach and take this to the gym and spare battery and definitely wanted to get an extra battery pack and bigger tires could you put on this for off road
Are upgrades possible on the hoover 1 rally?
How many hours does the battery work?
Liken can I make a 20aml hour and connect to my 7.8 amp hour if the volts are the same
Why didn't you solder the split connections???
Charging, what happens if you only charge one of them?
You are a badass my friend
Hi.can i ask what fuse you use?30 a fuse blade?
Just want to know is it possible to diy my glion dolly?
Real nice and good explaining ,do you have to add a second bms on the external battery pack ? Can u also use one of those external battery connectors on ali express - if so would they work wo adding a second bms
Yes you'll need a second bms.
My escooter's company welded the battery cover shut. 😕 There are some screws but those are just back up screws & I accidentally stripped most of them.
Very nice, I did something similar and got 50 miles but yours looks very nice, clean and low profile, unlike mine lol. looking forward to see more great content from you. 👍
Would any of u guys be willing to help me I've just got a new battery for my scooter but it's cutting out my scoot
@@jordanbroughton4820 Maybe post a video on what you are working with and I might be able to help.
It’s been a year
Still good performance?
20+ miles away from home/base and crack your tires... that means I have to carry that thing back all the way. LOL. Any way to use prebuilt lawn mower batteries, like Green Works 40V or 60V?
This is so cool ..I have a hover 1 edge ..is it the same process????? I wish I can pay u to do it bro🤦🏽♂️ I need this done
will this work on a ninebot g30p?
Hi bro super 👍bro how much amps can I use to the each battery pack please
Where did you get the seat
Is there any hover 1 alpha mods?
Can i use 21700 batteries?
Battery Volt?
good work
Nice!
thats dope
How mutch money do you spend in total?
motor 500w or 350w?
Can i make external battery pack that have different capacity and discharge rate but same voltage? Both have bms? Reply please thanks!
*both battery pack is 36v and with bms also
Do you have to charge the batteries separately or can you still use the charger that came with the scooter to charge both batteries after it’s installed? I know you want to charge both batteries separately before installing to get to the same voltage. Thanks
@@HBV90 thanks for the quick reply!!! I guess my question is does it matter how you charge it after you have both batteries connected? Say for example, I charge just the external battery but not the original hover 1 battery, would the original hover 1 battery still charge? Thanks again and thanks for the video!!!
@@HBV90 thanks!!! and keep up the great videos!!!
Great work bro, you definitely souped up the pioneer!! lol, I have a alpha 1 and a journey. Alpha , rated at 12miles range but I do hit 20mph on my GPS, maybe one day I'll try and extend the range but for now I jus ride for the thrill lol , do u know of a way for the alpha to remove the 18mph capped on the lcd?
@@HBV90 yeah that's what I was afraid of it being a software based, oh wellz I guess the phone will do , have you seen those external battery pack on ali express, will those work as well?
@@HBV90 awesome, thanks I'll try and look into that video
How much did this cost?
Hey Jin, How do you charge both batteries? Does the OEM charge port charge both?
The OEM port would charge both batteries and propably overcharge the extra battery bypassing the BMS. This should not be possible. You would have to disconnect the external battery every time you charge the scooters original battery. The way this DIY battery is just wired in in parallel is possibly dangerous for this reason.
What if you don't have a huge random fancy machine like that laying around though? 😕
@jin thao, what is ur most favorite scooter out of all of the ones that you tried?
@@HBV90 how do you take apart the dynamo? Mines just stop being able to charge all of a sudden
Can u do it with a vsett10+ ? Because i rly wanna add some km to my scooter but idk which battery use !! There is a guy who says EVE battery is good but idk , if u can explain which brands are good for it , I ll appreciat it , thanks .
LG and Samsung brand are both good...alot of high end scooter uses those cells....just make sure you get them from a reputable seller....
Hi Are you from Orlando Fl? I do Uber eats on e-bike and scooters I really want to get one of those and I have found 7 36V 12ah batteries help plz
Have u thought about a way to spread the battery across the length of the scooter? Also will this work on others with same components ?
I've seen people use a plastic riser for the bottom cover so they can add more battery into the deck of the scooter. Not sure if I can fit 50 batteries in there lol.
@@HBV90 right. The ninebot ones are perfect for this as the battery is in the steering column not the bottom so you could add there.
@@HBV90 another option be to actually attach along the steering shift for yours.
Thanks
Perfect
Can I buy a 36V battery pack and hardness from you? I don’t have all the tools 😉
Hey mate nice video so can you charge from both charge ports or just the one and how will charge work will it charge both battery’s regardless of which charge port
@@HBV90 great video, I just have a question about connecting the 2 batterys together.. I have a 60v scoot that goes about 40 mphs so I am wondering if I get a second battery would it at more power to the motors and also would I run the risk of burning out my controller??
@@HBV90 ok sounds good. So when you say connect in parallel does this mean that I dont have to switch between batterys once connected? If it shows 67v when fully charged with current battery will it still show same voltage when second 1 connected? Its a minimotors eye 3 controller btw. Also their is 2 charge ports on my scooter already so can I charge 2 batterys through these ports or do I need new port? Sorry for all the questions.
Nice
Hey man, ive found a battery that fits my voltage and amp hour, but do the watts have to match the original battery aswell?
only voltage should match. If your main battery is a 10s battery you have to buy 10s supplementary battery. And more amps = more milage. Watts is only volts multiplied by amps
@@voidex136 thanks, ✌
Watts is volt times amp so it would be the same
hi can you suggest me what I need to make external battery for my scooter this is my battery info. for my scooter 8000mAh/ 36V /216W
like what you doing it a parallel or series?
and its ok if I come with higher mah than my original internal battery as long they both 36volts?
How much would you charge to make something like that I’m located in Modesto.
How much would u charge for something like that
I got hover 1 alpha only 12 miles range.
If it works 👏.Yo J how much more weight does that add ?
My buddy added a 48v pack to his ninebot max. And it keeps up with my 1500 scooter.
Any software require for this, can use market purchase battery?
@@HBV90 my is xiaomi 1s, do I need to use the firmware to delete the charging mode??
Wow!
Can this be applied too for NIU KQi3 Pro escooters?
as long as the battery is the same voltage as the original then it should be able to work no problem.
Hey brother if definitely buy it off you for 100 a battery off you could I use it on my rally
How u charging battery both on original socket or separate
they have separate charging plug
hi
I have a segway es2 and would like an extra battery but the official battery is too expensive so can you please make a video for the segway es2
thank you
Great vid! I have a few questions. I have a xiaomi scooter that i plan on modding. 1) Do i have to use a car fuse or is it unnecessary? I dont think that there is a high chance of high current damaging the scooter so not sure if ill use one. 2) Is it recommended to solder wires, did yours heat up because if the loose connections. 3) Does the speed increase or does it stay the same. Anyways thank you so much for this video. Hope i can do the same with my scooter and double the range. Btw im using salvaged wires aswell 😅
Hello im sureby now uve sold those probs. Everything is nessesary though. Even ifyou made thebartery already. There is nothing wrong with takubg it to a electriction to once over. Batreries can geat over time. Hope this helps
@John Lone I decided to make my own fuse holder using a 20amp fuse and used another scooter battery and now I have 80 kms range. Also upgraded the xiaomi m365 pros suspension and added rgb lights to it. Never knew how fun modifying scooters was
Can I add a 32v battery to my 46v standard one?
@@HBV90 yeah it doesn't work. Wires get hot real quick. Dam
xiaomi m365 pro here,i've heard many people were saying that if their battery gets low the scooter loses power, however my scooter goes at same speed even when i have only one - dash left on the dashboard,so maybe it has something to do with what kind of controller you have.
Since your is the pro...it may have a better quality battery
What is the value of your fuse for 36volts?
@Knut-Arne Gulbrandsen amps of your fuse
how many mah are each of those lg cells?
@@HBV90 Oh, how much would you charge for this? just an estimate?
I have around 15 x Milwaukee brand 18v lithium (4ah, 5ah) batteries , i wish there was a hack so could use these batteries. Or perhaps i should try haha
@@HBV90 do you have to have a converter to make that work?
What exactly batteries do I use
18650 are the one the scooter used
Out of curiosity couldn't you just put masking tape over the one to reduce risk of shorting the battery?
Yes u can.
and how do I charge the scooter with a normal charger?
@@HBV90 ok thx
i just made it from old laptop battery and it works so nice
hello I have one more question will it be ok if the cell capacity is different for example when I have 30 cells with a capacity of 2000 mah and 20 with a capacity of 1500? sorry for mine english im from czech republic
your wiring has fire hazard concern, the positive wire still exposed and you just put it back in as it is.
@@HBV90 oh good to know, I am a Automotive Mechanic and Electrician, so when I see exposed wires, it just gets me worry.
Can I send you mine and you mod it for me?
i dont understand the whole not having a seat thing...obv i walk upto 5miles oer day but i do it 2 paas time.and to keep fit also with 30lb on my back but iff ya gonna travel why would u wanna stand
Instability
There is a reason why u stand
I find it harder to balance for turning when sitting on my scooter's seat, plus the fact that the seats just plain not tall enough for me to sit on comfortably
This is pretty sick. I did not hear how much you spent though
i already have most of the parts needed, so i only spent less than $50
How about s basket 🧺 our a trunk.
The batteries should be of similar capacity or just remove the stock one. After a few cycles there will be problems
No.
FALSE u don't know what you're on about
solder is your friend
First, great job! Are you an electrician? Second, I was thinking of using like a power bank. What are your thoughts?
Jin Thao even more impressive.
@@HBV90 i wanna add an external battery to my kaabo mantis 8, but how would you go about that without compromising the water resistance?
How do you charge it?
@@HBV90 do you have to charge both or does charging one charge both?
@@HBV90 oh okay
👌🏿
If u would sell one of those, how much 🙂🙂
Thanks
The vibration will shift the battery over time it will come apart
This battery pack has been holding fine for me for 2 years now, but yes I would recommend using heat wrap to hold the battery together.
@@HBV90 I see, my design might have been shady then. Heat wrap for sure next time.
@CliftonRX7 yea and make sure the weld are strong cause if not vibration and bump will definitely break those weld loose.
@@HBV90 true, I learnt the hard way.
@@HBV90can I build one you built or how much for you to build it? My scooter is a hytoy skute 36v 250 ways.I would like about 50 miles and just a little climb power
