Myself and a work colleague used to call it being "Duraplugged" in honour of those rubber mains plugs from the '80s that everyone forgot to put the cover on the wire before wiring them up.
Another awesome video! Your work is so inspiring, it's amazing the fun you can get out of these mods and they're not that expensive either. Also your ability to control it so well at that speed was no meagre feat. Exciting to watch.
You crack me up sir 😂 it's like you have two versions of yourself one on each shoulder telling you what to do. 🤣 You're freaking awesome Vortecks! That little scooter is pretty fast for what it is, looked wobbly I'd freak out, lol. Excellent job buddy you never disappoint. 👌
Hi Tony massive thanks for your channel and for the VBMS app today is 200days how I started using your app for ANT BMS. Also I'm very happy that I can be a patron for your channel.
I can't thank you enough for the 2 things you have done for me (buying the app and Patreon). Let's hope that the beta testers for the app come back with some good news 😊
It looks lethal for sure. I converted a Razor E300 to have a ~1600W output with a 16s lipo and it's geared for about 28mph. If you go over a road repair strip without bent knees then it'll tankslap. I have a 160mm disc brake on the front and the original drum on the back.
only 28 thats nothing i bought a hacked scooter that does 28 mph it feels fast but its not 35 mph or higher understandable its lethal but 28 mph is the right speed
Wow you said it will be fast you wasn't kidding that's unreal the power that now has i must say it does look fast even on camera. When you said no brakes i thought OMG that's Tony for you on a test run. Stay safe see you in the next.
Ok I think the reason behind why your regen fails to slow you down could be that which was explained about EUCs that you need to have your battery always short of being fully charged, once the battery is fully charged there is no regen as there is no where for the charge to go, so you must keep your batteries at a level that ensures there is somewhere for the charge to go. Therefore if you keep your batteries always a percentage lower than fully charged you will always be able to get regen braking, but if you keep them too high your regen will kick in and potentially fail once the cells reach fully charged off regen. I believe in the early days of EUCs people crashed with them due to this problem which they figured out pretty quickly. Also don't forget that tyres are rated for certain speeds so may become a potential failure point. Hope this helps.
I think you absolutely have to have a mechanical brake. Even if your electronic one is good, what happens if it cuts out like that down a hill? I am shitting myself going 30 downhill when I know I have both brakes. The Ninebot G30D Max has a front drum brake, wouldn't that fit on the M365?
Noice. I believe it is better to have more power than you need! You can always back of on the throttle but when you need power to get moving or climb a hill you need that power. Keep up the good work!
hi bought a rwd kit for the xiaomi m365 pro but have problems with changing the direction of the engine, I got it to go backwards but it loses power and makes noise when accelerating. have switched places on the yellow and the green signal cable and the blue and yellow motor cable. Do you have any tips and tricks on how to get them to work, best regards
When he was flooring it he wasn't passing any objects of known length and the scooter is too short to measure without exiting the youtube player :D. However a little after that he passed a Nissan Navara (5:18) for about 400 ms. I found conflicting information about the exact length of that car but let's say it is about 5 meters. That comes up to around 45km/h if my Math is right
@@Anonymous-qx5uk agree, looked like 30mph easily. Its dead cool and i want one but the handling has to be twitchy af. Id make max 20 with a 30mph push to pass button.
With the power you got, you could easily add a front motor hub AWD and just split the brake, gas and power cables so you have motor brakes on both wheels
Love the vid ,watched a few of ya vids. That's insane lol .I'm just getting into e scooters ,just bought that ninebot max , and I'm already looking for more speed. Think my next one will be that FLJ6000w K6 . I'm bloody lazy, I should build my own , as I do have a HND in electrical engineering. Very interesting test. All the best. Mike
If you put ceramic bearings in the wheels you’d go flying, I think the existing bearings aren’t meant for those speeds atm that’s what is making the other humming noise
This is what I want done to my aovo for extended distance and speed need to find someone local in Essex that can do this. how much did this cost to for the battery extras and the wheel
brilliant its finished ..... and the sabvaton dont look to bad or as bad as i thought mounted there so there was no need for the fake upper floor deck at all just leave it tone welldone
you probably know but air first thing in morning negatively charged changing to positive charge and wet dew/rain positive rain dew negative rising . those trees and hedge rows look rearly fast passing by on fast forward (officer ) maybe some ram-air side scoups to direct air on to rear wheel motor placed on platform and maybe at front of platform on to battery
Now take it to the airport and race a plane. Bloody mad you are. That was fun to watch, but butt clenching at the same time, especially when you had that little wobble toward the end! Quality entertainment. And yes we have all done the soldering and forgotten the heatshrink/strain relief/whatever :)
I’m sorry if I’m a bit slow in my head, but did you swap places on the wheels so that you have the motor on your rear wheel? And is it the 350w motor you have there?
So are we getting a build video on this...iv got money waiting to get one but would rather be able to modify it instead of it being boring and standard..👍🏽
these motors seem bullet proof tried 22s lipo 18fet generic controller shunt modded (fully soldered across it lool was crazy fast but as it was still front wheel drive so did burn outs going along think i need to get a or 2 better escs for 96v with regen
Buddy please ensure the brakes are really solid if you want to invest a bit I have a solution where you could mount mechanical or hydraulic brakes to the motor ...it’s a bit expensive mod but works 100% it’s a Russian brake caliper mounting mod to the front fork and you’ll have to change the stator plate that covers the magnets and the stator to accommodate the new pre fabricated disk slot ! Sorry if it’s a bit confusing but if you reach out maybe I could guide you a bit and collaborate if you wanted to ! Thanks ! I have some ideas but I could make those work in reality only on closed circuit tracks under supervision because of the ridiculous speeds !
I lost my brakes at 22mph, needless to say I needed new pants as it was going down hill and around a bend which is why I wanted to slow 😂. Really enjoy this, again as I always say I really want an extender put on my scooter but in not going to fiddle with it myself rather a tech did that.
on mine i have a break on the rear wheel just in case my electronic brake fails. you just push down on it with your foot and you stop. ( its worse when its wet tho)
More Of Anything Is Perceived To Be A Good Thing, but with it comes massive risk. I Would Say 16 Mph Is Adequate, I've ridden one and to be honest never felt speed was an issue, acceleration was weak. Your Skills Are awesome.
There are such scooters available in the US with AWD and 3, 6 kW motor power which run 80 kmh from the factory, but they have a good suspension and hydraulic disc brakes. Micah from Electrek tested one some time ago.
Lol these videos make me chuckle Tont. Thank u! Its just the sort of trick i would do to make a lead up and leave a cover or cap off lol. Im always doing it and never learn. I once had a dvd player that sounded sounded like your motor hahaha
My 150 amp sabvoton will not provide ANY regen, unless the battery voltage falls below 78 volts. No adjustments in the parameters to change that. So I only charge my 24s LiFePO4 pack up to 80 volts. But also decrease Amp/hrs of battery in doing so. In my case, a 22s battery would make more sense. cheers!
i need this for mine can keep up with cars. with it standard i feel people overtake too close ive nearly had lots of accidents simply cos car drivers wont use the proper distances.
Give it a while after you stop - the motor will get hotter! At least the surface of the motor will get hotter, because its constantly cooled by that damp air you got there as you are moving, but when you stop, the heat from the stator will heat the surface up.
That feeling when you have done all your soldering and you have forgotten the heat shrink Haha! We have all done that a hundred times
Myself and a work colleague used to call it being "Duraplugged" in honour of those rubber mains plugs from the '80s that everyone forgot to put the cover on the wire before wiring them up.
the one time i remembered to put the heat shrink and the snap on connector. and then realized i soldered the polarity backwards...
A pebble would be the end of that story.
🤣🤣😂
Or donkey 🤣
A loose manhole cover would result in a massive face plant.
pebble more likely to shoot off in a left or right direction not throw him off it thats because of air tires. didnt really see the funny side tbh lmao

You're ready for Isle of Mann TT 2021 !!!
The valve unbalances the wheel. Add a counterweight on the opposite side..
That was scary to watch sitting on me sofa no wonder you were shaking you mad man Tony lol.
hats of another fascinating build well done sir.
Cheers mate, it's certainly the most scary thing I've built (apart from the Radjet a few years ago)

That was scary sat in my chair, lucky you found that alien to test ride it for you, great video yet again
5am no one around, cold & wet/damp roads, just getting light but foggy conditions - what a perfect time for first flat out test run!

OMG! That looked crazy fast for the M365, but then again it is a V365.
Great camera angle for the speed runs - low like something out of Star Wars! 😄👍
That had to be terrifying at those speeds ... you Sir have bigger balls than I . love your videos !!!!

Top notch content. How you didn't end up in casualty just shows how much effort you put into entertaining the Internet. That clip had me laughing 😂 😂

You shoulda had a speedo app running on your phone.
Entertaining as always mate. Thanks for sharing
I think he does. Don't want unwanted attention, if you know what I mean 😉
38mph if you want to know mate. Obviously, that was off-road and I only did 15.5mph max in this video.
@@Vortecks fuvk me i laughed at that 15.5 in this video aahahahahah

actually the charge CAN go into the batteries, but the BMS or controller will normally stop that from happening to prevent fires

Many people put external addon batteries on the down tube. It's hilarious when you look again and find out that's actually a sabvoton on there.

It should not, if you charge an electric car to 100 % you also don't have Regen at the beginning.
KERS doesn't works on the front tire, if you'll shift back the motor...... have to break only 1 wheel :/

Hi mate what did you find better RWD or FWD ????
Mine is fwd and with only 12s tries to wheel spin on corners so isnt safe. I'd assume rwd would be much much safer.

Everything has been balanced mate, it's the small wheels which make it rather....... interesting and no, the camera didn't flash 😫
