I might not completely understand your text mate. For "48V" pack (I assume it is a 13s pack) you will need a charger with 54.6V. For your original "36V" pack you will need a charger of 42V. I would charge both batteries separately with separate chargers.

denis (rita's inventor) confirmed that it works with the pro2 so i ordered one, installed it and it works flawlessly :-) now it has so much range that it's getting boring to ride so long :-D
Great Video✌😊. I wanted to order Rita but still have some questions: 1) I have seen lately people buying 4A charger for the xiaomi pro2. Is it possible to charge Rita Kit with a 50.4V 4A charger? Will it be safe? I know about the durability of the battery will decrease i just want to be sure the cables will make the 4A. This would take about 5 hours for both batterys i guess whats a big plus. 2) on the video of Denis he talks about 12s4p battery but on the www site he is selling a 12s3p battery. Why he not sell the bigger one any more?? 3) i have seen someone on Internet using a 13s battery with rita and he only changed the firmware how is that possible? I thought you need to change the bms or something on rita otherwise not working? Thanks
1 the charging cables on Rita look like the same thickness as on m365. If you think 4A are fine for the stock battery wires - they must be good for the Rita too. Especially that charging 2 packs will split the load on them. 2. I cannot know that mate. Maybe because if the size? And overall - I have not had “not enough range”, not even a single time yet with 12s3p + 10s2p together. Do you ride your scooter for 3 hours+ ? 3. Rita can take 30A on the external battery input and batteries up to 15S. You just have to cut the jumper wire on it and have your scooters controller capable of 63V. Otherwise Rita will burn when controller will fail during regen. Try reading this public.embedden.com/Rita/Docs/English/rita_manual_latest_en.pdf
@@VRMinde thanks you for the fast answer i really appreciate it. 1) I think you not get my issue. It is about the cables that come from the charging port to the Controller. @@frangiskosmoniakis3965 1) I understand you mate. If you want to know what wire thickness is needed for how many Amperes - google up "Copper ampacity chart" and you will find one. For 7A you would need to use AWG22 wire (or 1.29mm^2). 3) You would make a big investment and no one will guarantee you "riding without any issues". Upgrades like these cause series of potential problems - overheating controllers or motor (don't forget your motor is rated for 350W constant power, 500max, if you use 15s and 20A, you are looking into 1260W). Therefore, it will depend on how you ride your scooter, what firmware do you set, how much attention do you pay to the temperatures etc. etc. If you want to "ride with no issues" faster and further, probably a scooter that is designed for that with a decent suspension, better tires, better brakes, and selected components for the power and voltage would be a better idea. At the same time it is fun to upgrade stuff yourself, learn in the process and sometimes walk back home pushing your scooter :D The decision is yours, mate!

If you modify the controller - yes, you just need to cut a "jumper" cable on Rita. It is made so on purpose, as more than 52V won't work without the controller modification
john ice it is not my site mate, I just bought it myself and reviewed :) it is not my product, I did not even get any discount for it. Dawood Khan charge them both fully and measure the voltage with a multimeter. It should be not more than 0.5V difference, the smaller the better. Does your battery pack have a BMS? There are several vids on how to make the Y connection, like this one ruclips.net/video/FwoLKFaMraI/видео.html
@@VRMinde if I upgrade original battery with 36v 30ah which has same form factor and cables as original battery. Can I upgrade just by switching out old battery or do I need to do something when making a CFW?
Dawood Khan you need to make sure your bms communicates with the xiaomi controller. That means programming the controller. Or that means leave the original battery in place and connect your 3000ah one in parallel. Check out dough-nut’s video on youtube how to do it. You can either solder wires or just make the Y-joint.

Its not pouring outside you just want to make it a 2 part video. Because adding a 12s 48v battery is something never done before. Theres people who run these at 60v. Mine ran at 54v with no mods other than the extra cells. I smashed the dislike button so hard it made a black hole in my screen.

But you won’t do that as “you know it all” already :) Thanks for your comment and the dislike. Would you share your 54V build with us so we can learn how to do it with just extra cells?
Ughh, this thing. Its kinda overrated. I dont know why people are so hyped about it. Like, its only real good feature is hot swapping, but how often do people do that? Its not even that good for speed/ voltage hack, because you cant add a small 2s pack with this setup - you straight up need a whole 12s pack! It will first run completely on the 12s pack, then overlap a bit and then run completely on the stock battery, which means you will get the speed boost only for about first 50%, then you are back to stock battery. You will go all the way from 40kmh down to 22kmh, LOL!
1. "Small 2s pack" is not convenient to be charged. Rita allows to charge an extra battery trought the standard charging port. 2. On the stock battery you ride last 10 km with low speed and power, so, while the total range is 20 km, you get only first 10 km of comfortable ride. With the extra battery connected you also ride last 10 km with low speed and power, but before this you get 40 km of comfortable high speed and powerful ride, because total range is increased to 50 km. 40 km of fast and powerful ride VS 10 km of fast and powerful ride - don't you see the difference?
Mārtiņš Kaktīts Not only hot swapping in my opinion. Not caring about charging the 2s is the key feature in my head :) Being able to use any battery with any BMS, even without the stock one is the second one. And if the range of the scooter is sufficient - I agree that 12s is not needed. But many people anyways connect another battery to get more range for the scoot. And it is not for everyone for sure. It is something I personally was dreaming about :)
@@DenisYurev For range AND speed you get 10s 12ah + 2s 20ah - that way you will get all 40km or 50km whatever at 30kmh+ and never get down to low speed and low power at all. RITA will behave just like normal scoot when its ~50%, while a more traditional range and power boost will behave like a boosted scooter all the way to 0. Do you see the difference? Also, there is no increased current capacity in RITA case as one battery works at a time. That impacts not only acceleration, but also braking, which can cause the internal BMS to shut down due to too much current flow. (something like 30A+ for 1.5 seconds)

@@VRMinde He has a legit point though. Why the need to rush out the video when you could have tested this and uploaded it a few days later? With an external battery pack of 48V that fits that pouch you would get roughly 150-170% increase in range ( if the battery isn't a cheap one ), 50km+
Rita makes sense if you want to use two batteries with different voltages. Let's say you want another pack that is 12s but you want to keep your stock one for more capacity - range.
@@VRMinde not true, you can also add a 10s battery in the bag, and remove it whenever you dont need extra range and keeping your scooter light and bag empty.

@@VRMindei already have 3 external bateries on my xiaomi 1 s(36v12ah +4ah+4.4)+stock battery.. Max speed 34km/H.
The problem i already, ordered it
@@robertola3263 all of your packs are 10s, you can charge them to the same voltage and then connect them in parallel. No Rita needed.
If you want a step increase of speed you will need to get like a 12s pack. The benefit of Rita is that you can connect the 12s together with your packs (all 3 connected in parallel)
Hello, Can u tell me pls how to upgrade my xiaomi motherboard o where can i buy it.. I heard tha u can use rita with 13s but to cut the red 12 s cable.. Which one?
Do you need custom firmware or can it work by just connecting rita to everything and go
You will need to make a couple chamges for a higher voltage battery in the FW
Will I need this if I intend to connect an external battery of the same voltage together? I only want extra range and not necessarily faster speed.
AppleOranges12 hi mate, not necesseraly. You can connect an external 10s battery in parallel with a simple “Y” connection of the cables. Just when you connect them together make sure both original and external batteries are charged to the same level (I would say 1V difference is absolutely max)
I know this doesn't have anything to do with the video, but how long did it take for your scooter to come? Great video
Noah Thorsen thanks for your comments bro. It took about 10 days I think. And it was in stock in Poland back then
@@VRMinde Okay thanks for the reply.
Hi bro, How come you need a higher volt charger for the external battery? Do you have to charge the batteries separate?
Because the external one is 10s - charges up to 50.4V. That is the best benefit of Rita - you can connect two packs of different voltages

Denis Yurev copy that mate. But I’ve been looking to your website a while now but i cannot find the kit packaged with the 12s, bag, charger and rita. All i can see is the 10s.
Labas, Minde! Manau esi bandęs ir turi ką parekomenduoti. Renkuosi tarp 10s ir 12s papildomo seto su rita (iš Denio). Papildomas greitis ne itin aktualu, svarbiausia kuo ilgesnis pilnos baterijos efektas (that sweet power, you know.. 🤤).
Bet kai iskrausi iki puses tai dar labai labai ilgai vaziuosi be to smagaus jausmo kol iskrausi baterija pilnai :)
Hi Hope your well! I just have a RITA coming this week so can I as it’s not a 48v charger and use the original charger I have so this charges both battery’s when plugged in and it will take a long time I’m sure although the extra battery is 48v it still charges ok and in full as I am planning to use it like you! thanks
I might not completely understand your text mate. For "48V" pack (I assume it is a 13s pack) you will need a charger with 54.6V.
For your original "36V" pack you will need a charger of 42V.
I would charge both batteries separately with separate chargers.

Where did you buy your battery. I cant find any
I got it with Rita from m365.embedden.com
Great Video✌😊. I wanted to order Rita but still have some questions:
1) I have seen lately people buying 4A charger for the xiaomi pro2.
They are very thin and some people change it to thiker ones other say it is good enough for 3A. It us very confusing as everything on Internet😂no Mater how many packs you have you will send the 4A through the charging port for lets say 5 hours. Maybe Denis or someone else has an opinion too would be great.
2) No on his youtube video he is showingband saying that 50 cells fit in his bag and talking about 10s5p or 12s4p packs. On daily commute i not use it more but on weekend if beautiful weather then 3 hours gos fast away. Besides i want if i invest so much money to get the max possible out of it even if paying 40euros difference for the extra cells i hope you get me😊 Anyway it is again Denis that should tell as about it.

I am a newby to all this sry for asking so much, but i prefer doing this from beginning correctly not investing and later beeing disappointed that for 50euro it could be muchhhh better. I hope you get me on this too😊Nice greetings to Denemark from Austria✌
I ordered my RIta today but I don't understand it correctly. Is it like the Y circuit with the additional battery, like now? Or can I change the additional battery on the way if it is empty and it doesnt matter how empty the internal battery is?

Its not pouring outside you just want to make it a 2 part video. Because adding a 12s 48v battery is something never done before. Theres people who run these at 60v. Mine ran at 54v with no mods other than the extra cells.

But you won’t do that as “you know it all” already :)
Thanks for your comment and the dislike.
Not caring about charging the 2s is the key feature in my head :)
Being able to use any battery with any BMS, even without the stock one is the second one.
And if the range of the scooter is sufficient - I agree that 12s is not needed. But many people anyways connect another battery to get more range for the scoot.
And it is not for everyone for sure. It is something I personally was dreaming about :)
@@VRMinde If you have free time, you could make a funny video with riding on AA pills as an external battery)))))
Denis Yurev that is a good idea :) I just need more time in my life now :D
No time? Nonsense - it would have only taken 30 seconds of your life dude

@@VRMinde yepp and im not subscribing :)
Humanus and that is your choice mate :)
So u just buy Rita and flash ?
Rita makes sense if you want to use two batteries with different voltages. Let's say you want another pack that is 12s but you want to keep your stock one for more capacity - range.
@@VRMinde not true, you can also add a 10s battery in the bag, and remove it whenever you dont need extra range and keeping your scooter light and bag empty.
Is it stock controller
yup, with a custom firmware
Bc my xzomi pro gose 25mph on flash
With stock battery
