As a beginner writer I think that a lot of authors forget the point of plot twist they do it now for only shock value Good plot twist = shocking but leads to something or change the story direction Bad plot twist = shocking just for the sake of it And you forget about it a few chapters/episodes later
Erased has a really good plot twist and it's double-great when you realize that the opening theme is in the point of view of the killer, lyrics-wise. Not an anime/manga, but the Korean drama Stranger on Netflix has probably one of the best twists I have ever seen and got me absolutely drawn into mystery series as a whole. I consider it such a good twist because they essentially told us who did it and what the motivation was earlier on in the story and as soon as it was revealed, I remembered the information and realized I should have seen it. Being able to recall the moment where I could have said "They did it" if I had caught it was the most satisfying about the twist personally.

9:00 it’s great to have a dramatic plot twist reveal, but I also really really loved how in Attack on Titan, the nonchalantness of Reiner randomly saying to Eren, “I’m the Armored Titan and Bertolt’s the Colossal Titan” made it so much more shocking

I remember watching your how-to videos and before I knew it you have your own ad!! It's so exciting to see you take W's! Godspeed bro
One of the best plot twists for me was definitely the very first ending of NieR Replicant/Gestalt. Not only did the game leave several HUNDRED clues behind (in the lore, in dialogue, in the actual world itself) that foreshadowed what was going to happen based on what happened prior to the game's story, but Yoko Taro structured it in the way where you either don't care about the clues because you're busy trying to get to your goal and destroy everything in your way OR you as the player genuinely felt that you couldn't do any wrong because everyone else was convinced you were trying to save them in game that any and all sacrifices felt "necessary" - even when the MC acknowledges that what happened was bad and would've wanted it to end differently. so SPOILERS: When you finally reach the Big Bad's Castle and get slammed with the "you don't know what you're doing" line, both the main party and the player genuinely believes that's not true... Until it's revealed that you've been dooming humanity from the very start by killing the separated souls (known as Shades) and causing a chain reaction that leads to the soul's roaming body dying from the Black Scrawl Disease - a form of expiration that can only be stopped when the Shade reunites with its designated "Replicant" body aka all the NPCs you encounter. One of the first hints was actually in the very first tutorial fight when Nier has to defend his sister from Shades and the only thing they drop is *Backpacks, Paper, Crayons, and Schoolbooks*, heavily implying the souls you're fighting are actually Elementary Kids. You're too caught up in trying to save your little sister that the first ever clue flies over your head. TL;DR: the best form of plot twists aren't just the ones you can easily predict but the ones that make sense when it's revealed - even if you couldn't easily predict the ending it's all still spelled out, but the story is so compelling that when the truth is finally uncovered you're still in shock.
Honestly some crazy plot twists I really enjoyed (but one I was totally expecting)-- - the ending of Madoka Magica: The Rebellion - the end of Act I in Doki Doki Literature Club - the plot twist for the (good--) ending of OMORI
We will have 4th movie after Rebellion. I think giving her character it is understandable plot twist but also makes you so pissed off because she throws Madoka whole suffering and actions under the buss

This one is super informative! BUT THE MOST INTERESTING PART IS... HE IS THE 10th MEMBER OF "KAARA"!!!!! i think the most impactful twist was from the "your name" where they reveal that "itamori" town was wiped out three years ago. and Naruto had so many great plot twists. Also, the MCU always try to add some in their films!!!!
My favourite twist was the Dabi is Toya reveal. It wasn’t necessary a twist we didn’t see coming, but it was purely based off how well the twist was executed and the consequences it had on the story going forward. A twist is arguably more enjoyable when you see it coming. You’re just waiting on the edge of your seat and the payoff is immeasurable

My Favourite plots twist on one piece is rob figure suddenly get in Pangaea castle when he sit down and talk to five elders, is reveals his face turn out is Shanks😮😃
I still think Tobi should've been an Obito as a willing host for Madara's spirit to inhabit through a variation of the Mind Transfer Jutsu, like with his soul or something. It would've fit Obito's "I don't want to exist in this world, I want to be nobody" thing and it would've given credit to all of the Madara specter of the past aspects Tobi had going for him throughout the story. If Madara was behind the wheel of a broken and damaged body, it makes since that he got that thing haxxed up with the Swirly Zetsu body (this explains the Tobi personality perfectly) and training up the Mangekyo Sharingan. Also why he went the full mastermind direction, instead of the brute strength like he'd do in his prime, because age came with knowledge and wisdom. Obito was the black sheep of the Uchiha and I just don't seem being able to pull off the stunts Tobi did without someone else like Madara pulling the strings the entire time. I just felt like it was teed up so perfectly, but they didn't go through with it and both characters became less interesting. Plus, it means Obito is susceptible to Yamanaka Mind Transfer Jutsu so when Ino hit him during the 10 Tails thing, it could've been a turning point moment for the heroes where they tried something and worked better than they hoped and allows the audience who are in the know go "That makes since! Jump him while he's weak!"
