Take a look at the flawless replica of the 50 millionth car to go across the assembly line at General Motors on November 23rd 1954. With over $100,000 of 24k gold plated chrome through out the interior and exterior of the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, this was an absolute showstopper at the Detroit Autorama 2024. Listen to the story and decide for yourself on what you think happened to the actual 50 millionth car made by GM and why were there three gold Bel Airs made in 1954!

I remember as a child going on a tour of the Brown, Lipe,& Chapin plant in Syracuse NY, where they chrome plated GM auto parts and they had the 50 Millionth car on display, so the I guess it made it out of Flint. The car was displayed out doors, like nothing extra special. Inside the plant they were doing bumpers and hub caps that night by the hundreds an hour. That's when GM made it all in the USA.

movie colorists who are trying to determine original color from a black and white film print simply take black and white photos of a known color and then study the shade of grey to see if the color is correct. the photo shown on the history board looks red to me.

This gold 55 was not built by GM or Chevrolet. This is a con, a ruse, and a grift.

No this is a replica built as a tribute to the actual 50millionth GM

Guess you can't listen. Also, gold or not it was Definitely built by Chevrolet in Flint Michigan. This is a "Tribute" car. Next time maybe watch and listen before you start your ignorance.
