    I bought the ABS plastic from a local plastic and polymer distributor.
    The sheet size is:
    4’x8’
    1/4” thick

    how do you attach the canards to the car ? what is the mounting mechanisms you use ? i see the "screws/bolts" but are they just screwed in at a 45 degree angle?

    Hella late to this video but dope video, I’ve been wanting to try and make some canards and splitter for my W204. The only ones out are the silly black series ones and they look funny IMO. Hope you still upload videos and didn’t give up! You got a huge southern accent though, I noticed off the rip.

    Great video 👍 and great skill on cutting the parts out! Was curious as to what was the cost of the sheet of ABS plastic cost? I wanna try it with my 99 civic coupe and just don't have a clue where to find the abs sheets since wood is ok but looks heavy. Thanks

      I've quoted a one for 48" X 96" for $150 usd, plus all the tools required for it, it's 3mm thick.

      search abs platic on Amazon. I think the thickness should be 1/4 but its your decision.

      Kept waiting to see how those got connected too. At least s shot of the underside to see how they connected to the body. L brackets makes the most sense though.

    That plastic is used in many pallets for furniture or displays”to protect from damage”, when I worked at the convention center, I used to see a lot of that plastic”mostly in white, but seen almost every color” Should’ve stock piled it.

    Would it be easier to bolt the bumper to the abs so it doesn't move around while tracing? Then cut it out.

    Go to Harbor freight and buy a curve replicator tool. You press it against your shape, lock it into place and transfer the shape to your material. All this done in about 2 minute.

    So I have a question, how hard do you think it would be if I made my canards on my splitter and wrapped it with carbon fiber? would it stick to it? it's a ABS right?

      A wrap should stick to the smooth side of the ABS plastic. The one I'm using has a smooth and rough side though.
