    I saw the spray foam and I was like "nah" then I saw the fiberglass and I was thinking okay, then I wondered how it was a diffuser without the fins, then you brought it all together with the plexiglass and I was convinced. This is fantastic! Super great job

    I've never made body kit stuff before and have been playing around with a similar idea, having experience with fiberglass. Just seeing that someone else has done it now I'm probably gonna try lol

      Same, i Will start with the plastic part of the bumper of my Fiesta mk1 1983 car, as It was plastic and metal, the plastic One are rare asf for the front, so i Will make mine 😅😅

    (EDIT: Just a little advice, It was still good work 100%) I would use this as the cast and make a mold to make the final product. I'm a fan of cut precise pieces in one piece when possible for structural integrity.

    Great video - really like the tip on using expanding foam. Much faster than carving two sides of a block and lots cheaper! Thanks for the inspiration.

    How difficult was this? I’m sure it’s a lot cheaper than buying a diffuser that looks like this, im thinking of doing this too, great work

      Not that hard just time consuming, especially the sanding part. Also makes it easier if you have the right tools for the job.

    If I used spray foam on a bumper they would have had to repaint the whole car. He had excellent control of that foam dispenser and never got one drop on his flip flops props to him impressive

    Very good work. My question is how long will it last? The adhesion usually doesn't last over time do to vibration and wind.

      It's not just the foam holding it, the diffuser is molded to the bumper with resin so it acts like a glue.

    Forgive my ignorance, I see many videos making mold and countermold. Will the foam stay underneath? Hasn't this affect the difference material shrinkage? Thank you so much!

      You won't have any issues with the foam. 1+ year still looks the same as when I made it.

      Thank you! No cracks so far thankfully. The fiberglass prevents the bumper from flexing, you can even sit on top of the bumper 😄

    Cool idea with the foam!! I would suggest using chicken wire next time and putting the fiber glass on that to save weight and have straighter lines

    It came out really nice, man! Now, since you went to all the trouble using plexiglass for the Thins, you should have left them clear and drilled a little hole in from the back side and inserted an LED. Then, each one would have glowed around the edges at night time. Again, great job!

      Polyurethane glue first than polyester resin after to fill the gaps and hold it better.

      Very little actually, 10 mil plexi would be roughly 2.5lbs a square foot, cant be more than that on there, sprayfoam is about a half pound per cubic foot, doubt theres more than 2 cubes left after trimming, fiberglass, while still not as light as carbon, is pretty light, 3 pounds a square yard on average cured, likely 2.5 yards were used, add about 8 ounces of bondo left after bodywork... I'd say 11.5 pounds or less. 🤷‍♂🤣

    Good job the only thing I'd have done different is cover the entire lower section of the bumper in masking tape prior to the foam stage pushing the tape flush into the shape of the bumper.this would have allowed you to seperate the splitter from the bumper once you had it glassed. The foam can then be removed and the splitter would be a seperate piece to the bumper rather than 1 whole piece

It can still be moulded in one piece as easy just without all that unnecessary material underneath is my point. Take it as constructive criticism, you done good mate

      The polyester resin acts as a glue.

    I appreciate the craftsmanship, but it's really more along the Iines of a diffuser look rear valance zero effect on efficiency, no under tray to feed that nice radius , all in all it was enjoyable to watch you build something from scratch nice work
