  • Well, I've been super lazy in the video department. Life catches up to you. I recorded this video back in May, 2020. This is a ride / review of my first bike, a 2007 Honda Shadow Aero 750. I ended up going a little bigger and traded it in for a 2015 Yamaha V Star 1300 Deluxe SE, and I absolutely loved it at first sight. So much, in fact, that I just rode it and never bothered to take the Go-Pro with me. lol.
    So, I hope you enjoy this last ride of the Shadow. I'm hoping to get the motivation to continue filming on the new bike. I've had it for almost a year now so I feel like it's time. lol
    We shall see!
    Cheers!

    I went from a 700cc naked bike down to an 04 Shadow Aero and have no regrets. I have had no problem on the highway and haven't noticed any excessive vibration.
    Great bike.

    Just picked up a 2011 Honda Shadow Aero - one of the biggest draw cards for me was the way it looks and how it makes you feel. It wasn't a massive step up speed wise, but stability, build quality and enjoyment wise, its huge. Really feel in love with it the moment I saw it and sat on it. I found a good change in mind set was "Just cruise" and I started to enjoy the bike a lot more.

    Trust me on this. Accelerate a bit more on the highway and the vibration you’ve described smooths right out. For example, if you have a strong vibration from 65-70 mph just speed up to 73-76 mph and she’ll smooth right out. It feels wrong at first but once you experience it you’ll see 👍🏽

    My 05 Aero rides with very little vibration at a constant 60-65 mph. This is the first time I'm hearing this. I'm thinking about the Phantom will be my next ride!

    Hi, great video. Appreciated. Am another new rider and I too bought my 2009 Honda Shadow Aero 750 before I had my license. Now with my M2 after a weekend with Learning Curves this spring as soon as we were 'allowed' and I am enjoying my Honda. (guilty of doing the big block rides out here in the county to get experience / confidence myself and enjoying it)

      I did my m2 through learning curves in Windsor! They were great and will always recommend them to someone wanting to do a safety course. Safe riding!!

    Everybody's Comfort level is different I own a 2001 Honda Shadow vt750 Ace I live in Detroit Michigan I take that bike to Chicago on a regular basis Detroit to Chicago is 350 miles takes about 4 hours and I have no problem writing that 750 for 4 hours straight other than gas stops people have been riding 750cc Motors forever up until about 25 years ago the 750 was the big dog motor now we have 2500, 1800 1300 11:00 my second bike is a Honda ST1300 and yes it has more power and comfort than my Ace 750 but I have no problem taking my 750 cross country

    Nice ride, thinking about getting a shadow 750 for my first bike and was wondering where you got the tachometer on there for it? Kind of a nerd about that stuff and like to know where/ when I'm shifting and need and should shift

    I was gifted my Dad's 2006 Shadow... do you always use the clutch or just when you start & stop?

    • @vadereighty-eight6612
      @vadereighty-eight6612  3 года назад +3

      Clutch in to shift up and down, and hold it in when coming to a stop. I don't ever put it into neutral at red lights. I'll also use the friction zone when turning corners from a stop or making a turn while in 2nd gear .

    Is there a gas gauge on your bike?

    • @vadereighty-eight6612
      @vadereighty-eight6612  2 года назад +1

      No sir. Didn't come with one. I want to say it went upwards of 200km before I'd have to switch to the reserve tank. Give or take. It was a while ago so I'm not 100% on that.

  • @noahroland5586
    @noahroland5586 3 года назад +1

    If the vibrations are that high at 60 mph you need to shift up

    • @vadereighty-eight6612
      @vadereighty-eight6612  3 года назад

      usually it wouldn't vibrate until i was in 5th gear going that speed for a sustained amount of time. in retrospect, i'm sure i was just being a whiner. lol

    Why does your bike take off so slow? Sounds like it's a lot of work to get it to go.

    • @vadereighty-eight6612
      @vadereighty-eight6612  2 года назад

      Was probably still pretty green and learning on that bike. But also, not a whole lot of low end torque as far as I'm concerned. Not meant to be a rocket at the starting line. Lol

      I mean, at that point, you're not wrong. lol. I could only convey how I felt at the time, with literally nothing else to compare it to. Even still, a few years down the road, I can only give opinions based on my experience. I don't get to ride other bikes other than the one I own.
      But for the sake of not being ignorant, which parts do you disagree with? Not being a dick, honestly asking? Always trying to learn from others perspectives as well.
      Thanks for commenting! Ride safe!

      @@vadereighty-eight6612 the fact of you saying the vibration is unbearable and that you can’t keep a 750cc bike going at 60-70 mph is crazy. That bike is able to go across country and back if you wanted to. I have friends with 650cc cruisers that have done state to state trips. Gotta learn how to ride before you say what bikes can actually do.
