Forza Horizon 5 is finally out! Arguably my favorite racing game series, Forza Horizon meets in the middle between arcade style racing and the simulation feel of Forza Motorsport. Gran turismo 4 for "realistic" racing but need for speed underground 2 was my favourite of all time
NFS and Forza
Test Drive Unlimited 1-2. At the time when they came out they were groundbreaking. I hope Solar Crown can live up to the originals

Plus Anna is still British which is weird & drifting online on Wet surface feels like your drifting on black ice. They do need to work on the servers for sure because I came to a dead stop on the Hwy in the C8

I would very much like a sort of city expansion, when it comes to the map I think thats the only thing missing. I miss the large skyscrapers etc
same, i would be hyped if they added a city, preferably to the main map so we don’t have to go through a menu to reach it, but id be annoyed at the same time cause they could’ve added that from the very beginning

Yeah I was realllly expecting to see Mexico City on the map, since its so big. I have also been pondering the expansions, and Mexico City or Cancun do seem like viable options..

Lancia and Alfa being missing is pretty huge. I Stratos'ed the heck out of every other Horizon.

I think that, much like Mitsubishi in FH4, they'll be back sooner or later.
This is the most fun I've ever had with my G27 in a long time. FM7 and FH3/4 I couldn't use my wheel because it just felt so off. In Horizon 5 I set my wheel up and it felt right. I bought the NA Miata just to test the wheel out and it felt just like I was driving the real car (I owned a 1990 for a few years). I'm having a blast. They just need to fix the connectivity issues and some of the other bugs and it's by far the best of the series, right there with the first one.
Also, the car sounds are * chefs kiss *
My G920 felt amazing on the first few days and then all of the sudden it just feels like trash. The Horizon games have always had issues with wheel support and feel (especially on PC) and it is a shame to see the same problems in this game after all of this time...

They really need an option and system to sort out h pattern vs paddle shift cars. So that when you hop from a miata to a Lambo it doesn't require you to use the clutch and vice versa. Honestly this needs to be a whole new gear select option and have it operate just like the manual + h shifter w clutch option in dirt rally 2.
@@fryguyxd8212 I’m probably too late cause this will probably be fixed in a few days...But I was able to run my G923 with ForzaEmuwheel program. Your gunna love the new handling model. I would suggest you turn up “Minimum force” sliders; and turn off the “Center spring” and “Damper force” sliders.

i love the game but there are so many bugs and server issues that it’s hard not to get frustrated at times - once it’s fixed, it’ll be my favourite racing game of all time
They are apparently working on fixing the glitches as we speak that’s why I haven’t even bothered with online just isn’t worth it right now
Yeah even on PC there’s bugs my game crashed a few hours into playing it for the first time eventually they’ll get worked out

@@Quahmayee I’m having that exact same problem my guy and damn is it frustrating! I’ll even be with my convoy and they’ll just simply disappear all of a sudden. It makes online so boring because you can’t even chill with random players :(

@@KoW313 yeah cuz now it just feels like the characters are there and they dont matter too much to the story but before that in 1 u had a rival for every wristband and type of race and then darius flynn as the ultimate rival. And it really got me into the story. Now listening to them talk is like ehh and i just wanna skip cutscenes.
Only thing I don't like about horizon 5 is the amount of off-road races.. but that's just me because I enjoy road-racing more

It's a cool game in my opinion, since they fixed almost all car sounds, added good drag tracks, more iconic cars, huge and exciting map, and good optimisation, the only downside are some bugs since from early access but still was worth it to pay 90$ for Premium edition to have it all included!
They still never fixed the god awful turbo sounds, how hard can it really be

The PC version is rough. Textures not loading in properly. Game looks like Minecraft. I really hope they deliver with the graphics bug fix.
my biggest gripes are; the lack of progression gives little sense of achievement when doing anything and the online functions rarely working as they should, but the online stuff is probably getting fixed asap

Progression is really not good. Everything happens very quickly and you have to do practically nothing to progress. You get points for every little thing.
This is my first Forza game ever, and it seems to be one of the best racing games i have played up to this point

i was annoyed at online for a while and then i had the BEST drift session with randoms since fh3. door to door 4 cars wide up and down the mountain road. it felt like old times.

I just got done making our AMS Drag Huracan in the game 🎉 love this game so far but the bugs can get a bit annoying
Yeah, I am pretty used to them now though.
Only thing I’m really missing is a spot with lights for the drag strip in multiplayer. It was one of my favorite things to do with my friends to have a little drag battle in our cars we built for whatever we’re doing before we drive out of the festival
They need to add more of the tuners cars of the early 2000s.

It's by far the best Horizon game in the series and they did a really great job with it and things might improve in the future, i know people bash the level of customization a lot but it's hard to reach NFS levels with over 500 cars in a game and having to deal with bodykits licenses and stuff, surprised you didn't talk about the new engine sounds, they are light years better than FH4, hope you talk about that on your next FH5 video!

@@jspencer613 I think the sounds are pretty good. Especially compared to 4. And most of the cars are going to sound the same when everyone's doing race engine swaps haha there's actually a good bit of variation in sounds if you mess around in the upgrade menus.

@@joealex65 it's improved quite a lot to be honest. Different exhausts and shit change the sound quite a lot. Then the sound bounces around really well, great sound driving through tunnels

I was honestly amazed by the sound, and how modifications like exhaust and intake make a noticeable difference to engine sound. Even on the Xbox One S, the graphics are noticeably crisper than FH4. Not to mention, being addressed as your actual name and being held to a certain fame after all the other horizons is charming and makes more sense.
Also, Doom Horn.
If you played FH4 you would know that being addressed by your name was something you could choose in that game too, voiced by the same person as this game. The only difference in FH5 is it auto-selects your Xbox or Windows account name by default, rather than asking you to choose it manually.

This by far the closest game to have a test drive feel to it, honestly I think it’s one of those games that I don’t feel I wasted my money on! Plus driving physics makes are crazy good with “simulation” on! With my wheel I feel like I’m driving a car, I honestly think it’s better than assetto corsa! 10/10 and 15/10 when the minor bugs will be fix! Masterpiece!

You can donate cars to Barn Finds for people that are creators, Hall of Famers, or just "Anyone." I've had a couple cool cars gifted to me, and it has inspired me to send out some pretty choice cars to other players as well. It's a great mechanic of the game.

They really need to add on the fly clutch adjustment for different transmission types when using a wheel and pedals. Just do what dirt rally 2.0 did and have an option for h pattern and sequential shifters and change the input based on car types. I hate having to change from manual to manual with clutch settings every time I change cars.
And being able to turn on traction control on the fly would be great
The BMW X5 track car you get in the welcome package is super, super OP! Almost too OP online. Its hilarious to beat people driving Lamborghinis and McLarens with a widebody crossover

I'm hit with so many performance and online connectivity issues that I don't even have motivation to play it. I'm on pc so that's probably why but with a i7 10700 and RTX 3070 I kinda just expect to hop in and be able to play without issue.

Agreed! I normally run highly skilled in FH4....same difficulty in 5 requires me not to ever let up were as in 4 I have moments in a race I can relax a touch. It feels like the difficulty is one level higher then what it's supposed to be

it is by far the prettiest racing game I have played. I am playing in on PC and its just wow when I crank the graphics. It is so much better than 4. Was sad to see a few of my favorite cars missing that were in previous games, but then happy to see like the Jimmy. Now just need a proper early C10 in the game.
So many problems where I can't collect accolades it pisses me off so bad but I'm still in the top 2k still wish I could be higher
The only major con I see with Forza still to this day is the lack of modification/customization. They need to add more kits and parts that the car community actually want and request for.

Save up some money, buy the fast travel house, then fast travel to each board sign… each fast travel gets cheaper and cheaper until it costs nothing. That’s what I did
It would be perfect if online actually worked properly. Really unplayable tbh, especially if you're in a convoy. Every 10 seconds everyone around you just disappears into the dark abyss 😂😂

What's more, you don't seem to understand meaning of the word "works". If a game is having game reaking bugs, then obviously it don't work.
Nor is it result of it being a pc title, but rather a issue with it being pushed out to early, which for some reason isn't a problem for delusional fanboys, such as yourself.
The first thing I did when I got FH5 on Game Pass was to buy the $2 treasure map. After that, I grinded for two nights and found all the boards in the map… I got a diamond achievement, and only 0.45% of people have completed it. Lmao
IMO what would make it perfect is a different setting and probably more exclusivity for some cars and maybe for some modifications though wheelspins, also maybe a racing class that varies in PI, not necessarily just A 700 B800 S1 900 every week so you have a challenge building cars and the meta changes.

For the festival areas - they need to add a space for bigger lots - with AI walking around the lot - a makeshift car meet spot

9:05 Because the "winter" in Mexico is probably the best season for racing since it's the dry season. It's also the only season that you can get that one XP board that's out in the middle of a lake, unless you get really lucky off of a long-distance jump with a hypercar. Lol.

His unique perspective as probably the most well known RUclipsr and reviewer for built cars makes his reviews interesting. I’ve been wondering why he never reviewed NFS:Heat tho? He did 2015 and Payback. I was really curious about how he felt about Heat because I think it was probably the best game Ghost games worked on in the trilogy

Horizon still has me hooked 2 months later, also there is launch control. When holding brake shift up and down then it has launch control when revving. That’s for manual trans at least

This is by far the best Horizon. Still has it's bugs but hopefully gets fixed soon. I got the early access and VIP still isn't working. I'm missing several house options that just don't seem to be appearing on the map. The treasure map was bugged for a bit. It's getting better though.

Honestly the auction house is one of my favorite things about the game and simply because I have a lot of fun selling cars and seeing how cheap I can get other cars. One thing I will never understand tho is why people will pay triple the price for a car in the auction house when they could just get it from the show room????

I am enjoying it. The load times are fantastic and you feel the burn when loading up in multiplayer...the time from launching the game to multiplayer races need to be quicker.

Span the lucky wheel and got mclaren f1 gt. did a screen recording and game crashed. Never give me the car. Anyone know if there’s any way to claim it or is it lost?
As a new gamer and gaming driver, I was shocked by how difficult it is to drive cars. Many cars have tons of power and just spin the rear wheel they accelerate. The Toyota Supra is almost impossible to drive over 80mph as the steering is not linear at all. Small changes do nothing, then giant changes in the middle, the end of the steering throw does nothing again. Constant oversteer and running off the road into the dirt on straight sections. Once you have some wheels in the dirt, you have less steering control and can plan on crashing constantly. I don't know if a Wheel will fix these issues, but it's not really much fun for me.
6:48 had a few dust storms that were that bad in Texas. They're really annoying if you're not actually in a car or inside. Sometimes tho yeah it'll get as bad as it gets in horizon 5 and acts like a fog, darkening the sky and just blocking out the sun. Those types are rare tho
The Barn Finds and Forza Edition cars feel a lot more special and exhilarating in this game. The FE cars are back to being exciting to get like in FH3.
The camera mode and tuning is the same which is nice, but I'm still getting used to the vinyl editor.
I like that there are a lot of Horizon Arcade events on the map at the same time, but it makes attendance quite small, making it hard to beat them.
What has changed a lot in barn finds, apart from the fact that you can now give away cars? I am very disappointed with the cars you get. The cars are nothing special. Everything is more or less standard.
I love this game but i really hope they add more dodge and gm trucks and SUVs

I just wish they hadn’t abandoned their sim racing fanbase. They don’t have to be a true sim but I miss driving on an actual track, and horizon levels of effort put into the Motorsport series
I second this. I kinda enjoy track racing more and the more realistic sim style.
If you think it loads fast on a series x, you should try it on pc with a NVME PCIe 4.0. SSD drive. I also have it on my Xbox 1x...the load times are like bathroom break long.

It blew my mind the first time I hit some branches/roots in the swamp and they broke off EXACTLY where I hit each one of them and showed both the damaged tree and each individual branch with 100% accuracy.

We need more black character customizations my only pet peeve of the game is how my character sounds like he’s ready for tea and biscuits I hope fh6 goes more in depth with character customization but that’s just me 🤦🏿♂️😂😂😂

Cant play with friends cuz the online lags so bad. Still no interior customization or window stickers. But otherwise i love the new rims, theres some good new cars, but really theres a lot of cars that arent here yet that seriously should be. We still need a steering sensitivity for those of us on controller. And on xbone the game takes absolute ages to load
This morning I went to launch it again on my PC and it crashed. When I went to open it again it said game was corrupt and need to be redownloaded...Yeah that sucked.

Needs more of a story than us feeling like we are running errands. The car list, while big, needs to be updated or switched around more. The barn finds are not great at all. The graphics and loading times are excellent. Customization still needs to be increased to that NFS level. I miss the grind of trying to earn the expensive cars. I started with 10 and I didn’t even pre-order. It’s the best FH so far but has some big issues I think still.
You are forgetting though that Winter in Mexico is nothing compared to Winter in the UK.
Can't change exhaust tips nor tire size. Other than that I dig it
My only real complaint is the omission of rocket bunny. Still a blast of a game though.

He has low standards if he thinks this is anywhere near perfect. More likely he knows very well it's mediocre but praising it helps him pay the bills, like all the other 'influencers'.
