Thanks for the video, I can now safely move my S5 Max base
The issue with my case is that my dock has never moved, but it kept thinking that I have moved the dock. On every start cleaning, it places the dock in the map in different locations, the locations were similar to the real position. That’s why I think it’s confused. But I have no idea how to fix apart from place it to an empty area which will make my house arrangement look super weird.
Mine has done that a time or 2. I suspect the robot is confusing where it is on the map. Also you can restore the previous map in the map settings to get the dock to show up where it was before.
YOU SKIPPED OVER THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!! Do you move the robot away from the docking station before picking up the dock? Do you pick up both together and move them? Do you tell the robot to go do something and while it's busy, move the dock??????

How did you attach the dock to the carpeted floor in the first location? Also, I hate the idea of using double - sided tape to anchor the dock to the floor. Without the tape, my dock just keeps getting moved around. What do you use for the new tape every time you move the dock? (I have an S4Max in case it matters.)
I did not have it attached to anything on the carpet. On the tile floor I have stopped anchoring them with tape. They move a little bit however for the most part it really does not matter if the dock is completely straight. I have dozens of them too.

My sister is thinking to buy a robot vacuum but her whole house has carpeted floors and she´s not sure if a robot vacuum will be good enough on these floors. What´s your take on this, seeing as you have a carpet in your hall? (Her idea was to buy a robot vacuum for the every day cleaning and then maybe something stronger for the once-in-a-while-deep-cleaning)

My robot could not detect the charging location, though it is at the same place since a year. Plz guide me .
Does the robot charge if you manually put it on the dock?

@@srpatilvideos3689 it could be the it sensor on the dock is bad or the window on the very front of the robot needs to be cleaned or is bad.

You didn't show how the new location would appear in the map.
After you move the dock and put the robot on the dock it will update the location as soon as it goes out to clean.

Mine keeps saying clogged filter even after cleaning it... It's so annoying
It doesn't detect the filter being clogged. You may have to reset a timer in the app. Go to settings and Maintenance and see what % your filter is at and maybe reset.

@@CCCC-tq8yo The robot has a sensor that measures the suction fan speed, and if it slows down, you get the error about the wet or clogged filter. If you get the same error with both filters, looks like something wrong with the suction fan or motor. Make sure nothing foreign is stuck in the inlets.

My dock is showing it is in a different room?
Put the robot on the dock and them send it out for a cleaning. The robot should update the location of the dock.

Awww Cosmo he's cute. I am so glad you did this video. I just purchased my S4 for black Friday and I just moved it this morning to accommodate our tree, and I was worried as well about moving the base, so glad it worked for you! The only thing I can't seem to get to work is the app. I scanned the QR code inside the box from android, didn't work, I looked up the app in play store didn't download.If anyone with an android got the app to work in a different way please let me know, I purchased this in part because I really wanted this feature. Thank you!

If this does not work can you try it on a different phone or tablet?
To me, getting the correct app working is the worst part of the Roborock purchase. It was a pain. I think you had to start the Roborock app, hit a button for it to send you a code via email, and then go from there, but it took me a few times to get the email code. I was on an IPad. Good luck. Since I got the app figured out, it has been great.
@@christopherwhyte2360 I had problems so I asked my 14 year old grandson to do it. He easily did it. LOL
I think the "proper" way to do this is delete the map via the app.
Maybe, but that is a lot of work and there is no need since this works.
