    My friend hates to admit this to her friends, but this was her favorite Christmas present. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g While I used to do the floors, since she hated doing them, this has changed things in our house. In one easy to use motion it sucks, dampens, cleans and dries the floor with a super clean and walk on a minute later surface. Load up the tank with solution and water to make it ready is about all you have to do. The big tank setting will do our kitchen, dinning room, hallway and entry with no problems.We do a light vacuum or sweep first to get rid of the big stuff, but if you floor isn't that bad, you wouldn't have too. We have kids, dog, neighbor kids, and winter crud, so our floors are usually that bad. It will handle anything, but just gets dirty faster and more hair is why we might get the big stuff. We can do everything from pulling it out to sucking to cleaned up in about 30 minutes, so it makes it quick and easy. Biggest thing is the floors are pretty much dry after you move the vacuum over them. No tracking, waiting, or foot prints everywhere. Cleaning is easy with sink rinse and let it air out a bit to dry. 5 minutes to cleanup and set to dry.I give credit to my sister, as she is a professional clean freak and this is her baby with about 1,000 sft of floor that has to be cleaned. She LOVES this and that is why we now have one. Great buy!

What can I do as the robot only clean the same area once recharged instead continue to creating the map

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад +1

      @@desireofmakeup There a few things you can do. Try putting the robot vacuum on it lowest power level to achieve maximum battery life and coverage. The robot should be able to go back to the docking station and resume it cleaning after the battery fully charge to complete the map. The quicker option is to Clear the map, so no map is showing on the main screen. Than go into vacuum setting and use the remote control feature. Manually steer the robot to all the areas, the Laser system will scan the area in a 360 degree fashion up to 15ft away. Remember to start the robot from the docking station and once you have manually steered the robot to all the areas drive the robot close to the docking station. Than use the return to home feature to have the robot automatically go to it charger. The map will save. This process is quicker and takes me 10 minutes to map out a 2600 sqft home.

When you delete the current map does it actually move it to the backup slot, which then allows you to create a map on a different floor? Thanks

    • @RobotMasters

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 года назад +1

      Start with the first floor, have all the doors open and area cleared of clutter. Make sure the map saving is enabled in the vacuum settings. Also if you already have a map showing clear that map aka delete it prior to starting the cleaning run. The robot will need to start and end from the dock. Once it done there should be a completed mad. Go ahead add labels, keepout zones and name the rooms. Repeat the process for the 2nd level.

How do I make the rooms available in such fashion that I then would be able to schedule cleaning of only parts of my apartment, is that possible? For instance, the map didn't detect any difference to the bedroom and hallway (both have the same color) and if I select to divide the rooms, a warning shows up that "Scheduled room cleaning will become invalid if room divided". I most likely want to schedule the cleaning, so I don't want to loose this ability, yet I don't want it to clean the entire apartment every time. Hey there, I just the Roborock s6 pure and I got it to map the main floor but it was hard to map the two other levels. This vacuum is said to be used in multi-floor housing but I cannot figured out how to tell it to clean an specific map. It creates a new map every time. Do I need multiple docks? (One in every floor?) because it always tried to find the dock and I cannot tell it it not on the floor where the dock is

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад +1

      Hmmmm so the robot supports 2 maps plus the current one. Each time you create a map you must delete the current map or it will create a new map and not save the old map. I assume the map saving is enabled in the vacuum settings. Once you have the maps you don’t necessarily need multiple docks, just take the robot to the correct level and make sure in the App the correct map is loaded prior to starting. Roborock is planning on releasing a software update to improve the mapping process to make it easier.

    • @RobotMasters

      Hmmm not sure if a software pattern changed the cleaning pattern. Anyways you could enable cleaning the area twice to see if it removes the streak. If I recall I think the robot can do a Crisscross pattern. Or you can relocate the dock so it goes with the grain. The robot should be able to update the Dock Position if placed in the same mapped area.

Furthermorem after cleaning that room it alway loses the map, so I have to restore it. I have been adviced to use the multifloor option, not to confuse it. But how does this work? I have mapped the apartment, and now I have change the building layout in the settings, from single-story to multi-story. As I mentioned, there is no actual second floor, but only one room that I want to put on this "second floor". There is no power outlet in this (bath)room, so I cannot move the dock/charger to the bathroom.. Can I then even map the bathroom as being part of the second floor, if I cannot move the dock there? If I understand it correctly, the mapping of the pretended "second floor" needs to start from the dock, am I right? I am using my home app at the moment and it is great! Is roborock app as detailed as mi home app? What do you think, roborock told me that I cannot use the 2 apps at the same time . THANK-YOU, and have a great day! Jean

      Hello The Roborock and Mi App are almost identical apart from some minor UI design changes. Roborock is actively working on bringing new features to the Roborock App via software updates. The reason I use MI Home is I can pair other Xiaomi devices like Viomi robots and appliances.

    Hello, I have S5 and I'm in Italy, so I suppose is an European version. But I don't see the option to rename the rooms and others, more over if the robot doesn't reach a room for 2/3 time because the door is closed, it updates the map as that room is always closed...even if the door will be opened... Why?
    Tnx @robot master

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад

      So I assume this is the original S5? If so some features may not be available. You can try the Mi Home App to see if that feature available. Now if your map is representing a closed door, used an area select and have the robot vacuum clean near the open door for a minute or so and you will see the map update. Or you can use the manual remote control method. The reason behind this is the map is constantly updating in real time the status of it environment which includes moving furniture, and opening/closing of doors.

      @@Swat-ev1fk This is not for the Mi app (we need to specify that or the conversation goes awry.)
      OK, your request:
      I can't elaborate. It just worked, somehow. There were few instructions and it was a mystery to me but it became clear AFTER I did it.
      I chose the multi-floor option.
      I took the robot and dock to my lower level.
      I saw that the main floor map was shown but not accessible.
      I did all-clean and crossed my fingers.
      When it finished, I had a map that I could then divide into rooms and all that.
      I HOPED things would be OK when I took the Robot and Dock back upstairs and it was! It now had my upstairs map and worked with that.
      I was able to name each level although that's not needed. I think it names them floor 1, floor 2. I don't recall for sure.
      Again, they give few details but they tell you exactly what to do and you have to trust that it works--and it does.

    Hi, at the end of the video you say to move the robot to the second floor and delete the ‘current’ map of the first floor. That defeats the whole purpose of multi-floor! I want the app to remember the current map, and also a second floor. So that when I go back to vacuuming the first floor it doesn’t have to start from scratch. Is that not possible?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 года назад +2

      Hello sorry for the confusion, basically when I said you have to clear the map on the robot to create the second floor map, this resets the robot. If you don’t clear the first map of the robot, the robot will still think it on the first floor. The Original first floor map is there, clearing the map doesn’t actually delete the map from the App. You will still have both map saved from the first and 2nd floor. Just make sure to load the correct map the robot is on. Hope this helps clarify what I meant. Take Care!!!

      numb15 Yes that setting always have to be enabled. Also make sure the map is cleared, than start and end the cleaning job from the docking station.
