Loved it Gareth, what a tour. Just one thing I meant to point out on your last video - you're not really supposed to pedal going down hill, its for getting your breath back.
Superb Gareth, wonderful history in such beautiful places, the only treacle I like is on toast. Certainly not long uphill climbs….thanks for another great adventure
Need to get to the bottom of that…though it may have been a rubbing front disc, now rectified. Just need to find a long drag to test it…many thanks Ian.
I was pretty excited when I spotted them on Google Maps. By the time I got there I’d all but convinced myself they’d be gone! Just some private collector…I’d love an old plane in my garden…a DH Vampire, maybe…
avpay.aero/company/at-aviation/product/de-havilland-dh-100-vampire-f-azhx-military-jet-for-sale/ if you fancy it….takes the wings off, get it ITV’ed…pop to the beach…
What a surprise to see the Soviet Jets! Yes floggers and foxbats. Names starting with F for fighters, B for bombers, H for helicopters. Two syllables for jet powered, one syllable for prop or turboprop if I recall
Best history lesson for a long time, beautiful views and castles. Long enclosed corridors to p*ss in, well maybe in the UK. You really should be working for the Tourist Board.
You know, I never thought of that…Witches Street really would have reeked of pee in the UK, no doubt about it. I’ll try to do the next one in Catalan…maybe the Tourist Board would go for it then….many thanks Sir.
Gareth I admire your efforts in getting passing shots of yourself on the bike in the heat and sometimes when you’re climbing , presumably you have to place the camera and do a ride by and then recover your equipment ? Unless you have a secret assistant .
Are you know using a go pro or similar either put a bit of soft spongy foam over mic or get a wind cover not expensive from Amazon will kill the wind noise
I’ve recently upgraded my cam Desi, but yet to stick the ‘dead cat’ on it, like I did with the old. Apparently it has a baffled mike…but I’ve yet to find out how to switch to that one!

Downhill is when I’m most likely to exceed my HR limit! I can’t help it - I love that floaty feeling of speed! Many thanks John.

Quite an adventure....you are a lucky man having all this on your door step
I’ll be the last to deny it! 180ish vids in and still only scratching the surface! Thanks Dean.

Seeing those fighters was really special. Great history round there. Thanks 🙏

I just looked online and found one, straight away! Runs, doesn’t fly, but parts included to get it flying again, £55k!

Your best ever video, thank you. Most enjoyable. I shall force my wife to watch it later.
Blimey, thank you!It was nice that everything technical worked for a change. So you are kind to me yet cruel to Mrs H….
Nice video Gareth, entirely enjoyable! By now you've probably already remembered, but the MIG 21 codename was "Fishbed"
I did, I got as close as knowing it wasn’t ‘Fisheye’ at the time and it still wouldn’t come. Troubling! Thanks David.
Good fun. I presume Mrs Yako was pressed into service again. Loved the siege story with bread and fish. Migs in a field is mad.
All on my lonesome for this one Pete. Yes, completely mental!
Another great informative video Gareth 👌🏻
I did deliberately go a bit more historical this week! Hope you are recovering well.

Never knew that about the syllables but seems right - Bear/Backfire - thank you!
Awesome stuff that bud 🙂
Thank you! Cheers Rich

Never seen anything like that Witches Street
No, it was funky! I wish now I’d ridden it from the start - apparently it’s smaller the other way!

No assistant Mark, though it would be handy! Yes, the ride-bys can be a chore but I like including them…
