Headed to the hospital for my first birth and induction in one hour!! Thank you so much for your videos; all the information is helping me to feel calm and prepared, as well as your beautiful personality 😄🧡
I’m 36 weeks and every birthing class in my area had been cancelled since March due to the pandemic, these videos help SO much with preparing for labor! I’m honestly not even nervous at all
Hi dear. I used to watch all of your videos while i was pregnant (my baby is now nearly 6 months old). I learned many useful things about birth. I was induced at 39 weeks and after 3 days i had my baby boy without any drug. I am so proud of me cz i never imagined to deliver without using any medication after being induced (thanks to my husband for the constant support). i would like to thank you for making these videos to help a lot of mom to be out there. Take care
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos. 💕 Especially these toolbox videos. I am due in 7 days and being a first time mom is scary. I have had a pretty traumatic pregnancy suffering from many different health problems and having to stop working when I was 14 weeks along. I’m a CNA at a hospital and being young and healthy I didn’t expect my body to go through all of these changes. You really give amazing tips and explain things in such a comforting way. Thank you for easing my anxiety for the big day. I’m really looking forward to trying out your suggestions. 🥰
I really appreciate these informative videos! I’ve never been close to my sister, no contact with my mom, I don’t get to chat with my work friends at the warehouse, and my best friend is self-quarantining for my entire pregnancy. My husband is amazing but it’s so lonely to be pregnant for the first time without any women to talk to. Watching your videos make me feel much more confident about my little dude’s birth in September.
Love this one! (And all your videos.) Touch is my most prominent love language, and I feel like it would be very helpful for me during labor, so.... I'm definitely going to come back to this video if I'm ever pregnant!
With the sheet or towel or whatever, you can get that hip squeeze by crossing the ends and twisting them until the laboring person likes the pressure. It's also less effort to hold for either the laboring person or the support person. Great videos, sis! I've picked up lots of tools for my LDRP RN toolbox from you.
Today is my due date, and no sign of baby any time soon 😭 but I’m taking it to my advantage and am binging on all of this knowledge so I’m more prepared when he decides to come 😊
I've been trying for all my pregnancy to have access to a Midwive, and give birth at home, but with everything going, it is not possible for me. I've been pushing back the idea of giving birth at the hospita but Your videos, and your presence, helps me to be more at peace with it. You seem like a fantastic labor nurse, and a fantastic human being. Thank you for your passion, love and light :)
I'm sorry everything going on has affected your plans for your birth. I so wish this pandemic thing would be over already. I hate how we don't know what's going to happen. But, the biggest thing I have learned about birth is that it itself is unpredictable. But what isn't unpredictable is the strength of the laboring person and the inherit hope that comes in the form of bringing new life into the world. I hope that even with the changes you are able to enjoy your unique and beautiful birth story! 💗
As I get closer to labor your videos pop up more thank goodness. I purchased the birth deck and in conjunction with your videos, we'll be good to go since all the classes were cancelled.
This was a wonderful series. I am 35 weeks pregnant and literally feel so unprepared with this second pregnancy. Definitely going to have hubby try these on me. P.S your husband is very handsome😀
LOVE your content! Today is the first day of the second trimester with our first, and I'm already thinking about labour *a lot*. Can't wait to get there, and can't wait to learn everything you teach about it 😍❤
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your amazing videos! They’re super informative. I’m an expectant mama, almost in my second trimester of my first child. Your videos have given me a ton of knowledge and it makes me feel so much better knowing what to expect than to face unknown. Keep it up, and thank you. 💜 You’re amazing.
I can’t thank you enough for this series - I’m nearly 36 weeks with #2 and this is all very helpful! In my first labour (drug-free) I never experienced the urge to push - not sure if it’s because baby was posterior or maybe it wasn’t time? Anyway, I would LOVE if you could make a video about the pushing stage - how do you know when to push; how hard or gentle should you push; should you let your contractions do the pushing? Thank you!! Xox
I can definitely do this! I talk about pushing in my breathing video towards the end too. I also never felt the urge to push with my 2nd due to a tight nuchal cord affecting his descent.
Thank you for these videos! 38 weeks with my first pregnancy. This video was so helpful to watch with my husband! P.s. you and your hubs are super cute together ☺️
This toolbox series couldn't have come sooner. Im 32w pregnant and ive been watching you since the beginning of my pregnancy. You've really helped me through so much so far. Thank you so much. 💜💜💜
I am due in 4 days. Thank you so much for your videos. You saved me after all birthing school were cancelled. I feel much better after listining to you and also I love your personality I will miss your videos after giving birth!! :)
Thank you so much for your videos! I'm 36 weeks with my first and your videos have helped me destress about labor and given me more confidence in myself
Im 36 weeks now, and i have been watching your videos since the day i found out I was expecting. Thank you for all the great information! You are an amazing woman. I have now packed a tennis ball and heat pack. Thanx for the advice
Thank you for making this! I had such a difficult labor with my first, so I’m anxious this time around. I sent this to my husband. Cross your fingers for a practice massage for me later!
Thank you! I’ve been binge watching your videos and I found out this week that because my platelets are really low, if they don’t go back up, I won’t be able to get an epidural! I’m so anxious and scared! But your videos are helping!
Thank you so much for this series--I am due June 5 so it's very timely for me and I am loving it! HOWEVER I did want to let you know that this isn't currently showing up in your Labor Toolbox playlist, so I initially thought you hadn't posted a new video in the series. Hoping I haven't missed any others!
@@Nurse_zabe Thank you! We missed our chance(s) to take a birthing class--a combination of procrastination, finances and this pandemic--so your videos have been super helpful and made us feel much more prepared! We really appreciate them!
I so wish I had the proper tools for coping with labor during my first birth. Luckily, I get another chance in November with baby #2! Thanks Nurse Zabe for all your amazing videos!
Yes pls create for mal positioning, back labor and op. My last baby was posterior, ending up in a c-sec. I really want to prevent it this time to have a successful vbac
I love your channel! Your generosity and kindness in your videos is so reassuring and has really helped me overcome some of my fear and anxiety about birth. I was curious if you have ever helped any trans or gender-nonconforming individuals in their birthing processes? I know that the birth process in many settings can be unaccepting and unaffirming for many of these individuals and can be traumatizing for them in ways that it wouldn’t be for cisgendered women. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your beautiful work
I personally haven't helped any trans or gender-nonconforming individuals give birth, but from what I've read it can be a very intense and divisive process. Many chose to labor and deliver at home with a midwife for this reason. But birthing at home certainly isn't always safe or a good idea for each specific birthing person. So I think finding a supportive OB or midwife and having a birth plan detailing specifics such as pronouns and appropriate touch would be really important. 💗
I love your videos and appreciate them so much. I'm 24 weeks first time mom and also a nurse. I don't work in a hospital setting though. I was wondering what your opinion is on mamas having to wear masks during labor? I will be asking my OB about this. The thought terrifies me
At my facility we are asking all mamas and support people to wear a mask when your healthcare provider is in the room. During labor, I am sure to give many of “masks breaks” when I step out. Honestly , mamas are reporting back that it’s not nearly as bad or difficult as they would have feared!
I found an SI belt helpful! Not a normal pregnancy belt, most of those are for back pain, but a pelvic binder for SI pain. Also a really thick pillow between my knees when laying down.
Hi nurse Zabe this is my first pregnancy and am 23 I sleep so much even during the day,i heard someone say to not sleep too much as when the baby is due it might sleep,is this true?and also is sleeping good when pregnant?how much?
If you are tired, sleep! I worked night shift with Mae and exclusively slept during the day. As your pregnancy progresses, sometimes your sleep at night isn’t as good because you’re moving around and waking up more, so a nap during the day could be great.
Check on my "10 things your labor nurse wants you to know" video to hear everything I say about poop, but tr;dl your labor nurse doesn't care, we'll just wipe it away and pretend like it didn't happen. Women sometimes poop when they are pushing, and that's ok. Just means your pushing in the right spot!
Thank you for all your videos. Turning 37 weeks this Thursday, first pregnancy. All of your videos are so informative!
I will be 38wks this Thursday, first pregnancy🙌🏽
You’re so welcome! I hope you are enjoying the end of your pregnancy and that your birth goes smoothly. You’ve got this, mama! 💗💪🏼
Yay for june mummas! Im 36 weeks today (Thursday in australia) best of luck!

Oh my goodness! How exciting!! Definitely keep us posted. Wishing you a fast, safe and supported labor. 💗💪🏼
I hope all went well and you had a happy and healthy labor and baby. 💜💜
Rewatching all of these for my second. Thank you so much for contributing to this community. These are so valuable.

I can certainly add that to my list! 💗
You're a lucky woman, Zabe 😉😍
Agreed 😘
❤
My biggest fear is pooping on the table while pushing. Can you hit on what happens when mommies poop 💩 while delivering
Check on my "10 things your labor nurse wants you to know" video to hear everything I say about poop, but tr;dl your labor nurse doesn't care, we'll just wipe it away and pretend like it didn't happen.
