I have to say, having had my hands on a couple of Aquis, they are a watch that feels like they punch above their weight in regards to the price. Really solid build quality, and it really feels "premium".
Damn Oris. Another GREAT Aquis. I agree with all your points - the dials brilliance, the finishing, the bracelet. That red is insane. Only difference of opinion is that I actually prefer the steel bezel. Black and red would be a little too severe for me and the steel bezel means, to me, it’s more versatile.
White bezel + red dial are the only things that attracts me. I find the steel bezel ugly unless they are rolex or GS. Well, everyone has different opinion and I thank you for not liking it coz if everyone likes it then the price will go up :P
@@ThiHaGadgets Yeah, we agree about the brilliant red dial, but otherwise we have polar opposite opinions right down to your love of GS and especially Rolex. You gotta get what you like. No one else much cares. That’s how I look at it.
A black bezel would have looked too common. I have a red dial Orient Kamasu that looks like that. Imo, the plain bezel makes it more versatile and unique. It lets the red pop out more too.
I love this!! Too big for me. Which I guess is good because I can't afford it. I'm personally a massive fan of the bezel. I think it really suits the watch.
@@EscapementWatch you did definitely a great job again. In general impressive to see your development over the time. You're talented for sure but you can't beat the voice from the off 😂😂😂
Display caseback is not sapphire, its from mineral glass) I have the very first relief, with gray dial, 43.5mm. The bracelet is ok, but i have to say that rubber strap is more comfortable. Wearing my aquis 80% of the time on rubber strap)
Well the SKX is a true diver ISO 6425 Rated Certified. I believe the Oris is not a certified divers watch. Only watches that are officially, formally and technically ISO-6425 certified, are considered to be full-fledged divers watches.
Unfortunately Kavar Jewellery is selling this watch for $2850 USD, compared to the $2300 the official Oris US site shows. So I assume the discount will bring it down to something similar? That's kind of sneaky, just saying
NO! They are selling it for $2850 CANADIAN DOLLARS! They are NOT ALLOWED TO INCREASE THE PRICE! They are an ELITE AUTHORIZED ORIS DEALER. Please make sure you check the currency first.
So I do like that bezel. wanted to see it up close at last to see if the refeif was done well., and it sure is. I think if a present Aquis owner would consider it if it only had a black bezel. I don't think I would. But this is different enough. I think i'll email you and see how much of a discount they'll offer. Great review
Have one on the way! Disagree with the idea of a black bezel, too common and believe it would completely take a way from that killer dial! The color combo gives it a killer, sleek look instead of a bulky, just another run of the mill, boring diver Just my opinion, great video!

Yes great build

fair enough! Thanks for stopping by and watching the episode! 👍
@@EscapementWatch You are welcome. It was well done and only makes me want the watch even more.

Great point! Thanks for sharing.
This dial is shockingly beautiful in person. Just wow
Beautiful dial, totally agree on the insert, but wouldn't stop me from getting this one.
Buying one just because it's so rare with that dial makes you stand out...
I love this!! Too big for me. Which I guess is good because I can't afford it. I'm personally a massive fan of the bezel. I think it really suits the watch.
what size wrist? this wears a lot smaller on the wrist.
This dial with the black date wheel in a Seiko and I'm in. Great videography again FT 👍. Btw, bezel on the YM is platinum. See you mate 👋
platinum!!! whoa!
this one was one of the hardest watches to film. Double Dome super reflective cloudy AR looks. lol But thanks for the compliment.
@@EscapementWatch you did definitely a great job again. In general impressive to see your development over the time. You're talented for sure but you can't beat the voice from the off 😂😂😂
Beautiful. SW 200 movement all the way. Done with seiko erratic unreliable 4R / 6R crap over here :-)
Hehe. A bit harsh for Seiko though. Btw, isn't 6R movement reliable? I am just curious. I used to own SARX035.
Ohhhh damn that's going to be mine in a few months ohhhweee. Such a beautiful watch.
Nice watch but still prefer my 43.5mm green dial / bezel Oris Aquis Date. Fantastic video as usual bro!
Never seen drilled lugs on an SKX before. Nice touch.
The Yachtmaster bezel is platinum.
Yes others have told me! Gotta check one of those out for sure now!
I was gonna say, but I thought I'd check the comments to see if it was already said. I don't want to pile on.

Yes I misspoke. It is mineral!
I'd say this size looks just right.
OMG. I have been waiting to see this "in the flesh" Congrats Titan!
why would you insult the oris with that skx comparision?
Well the SKX is a true diver ISO 6425 Rated Certified. I believe the Oris is not a certified divers watch. Only watches that are officially, formally and technically ISO-6425 certified, are considered to be full-fledged divers watches.
@@EscapementWatch i knew that statement would ruffle some feathers!!......especially seiko fanatics!! take care!
What do you think of the diamond version?
What color is the AR coating? I don't like blue AR on non blue dials, unclean.
it was very tough to tell on this watch. but I would say its not blue.

BTW 2850 Canadian is $2272 USD
@@EscapementWatch my bad. I offer you an apology!
No problem 👍
Great video,I love the watch
Thanks for watching!
Is it possible to get an Oris rubber strap for this too?
yes you can order one from oris
@@EscapementWatch Right on. Might order it then, my local AD just got it in.
Beautiful dial🔥 shame about the proprietary lugs and price
She's a looker.
The yacht is platinum
fancy! I might have to get one on one day
Great Colour & Size

ORIS GAT NOTHIN ON MY SEIKO PADI EDITION,,,,,
Unless your talking Grand Seiko. It's not in the class of an Oris.
keep telling yourself that

case back is not sapphire, mineral glass only very disappointed
My only gripe is the lack of ar coating
Damn this is hot.
Don’t like the SS bezel insert. Agree that black would be better.
shitiest oris i have ever seen )))
I own Rolex and Catier watches, and I can tell you this is a quality watch.
