I so liked this aquis so much that what I did when I first wore the watch, I intentionally wore my marooned henleys, grey jeans paired with an oxblood leather belt and finished off the look with my marooned chelseas!
@@watchandrew well I've just bought a retro tag heuer 1000 1980s sub in the rare blue dial on jubilee so I'll have to put the oris on the back burner :-)
@@watchandrew I've few interesting retro vintage pieces Tag / zenith / Omega (along with modern) so if you ever feel like doing a vintage video and you need a couple of watches let me know and I'll send over to you. Not sure how many views you would get though....
@@watchandrew honestly omega always leaves something to be desired, new speedmaster has no easy adjustable clasp and the seamaster bracelet has no taper
Hey it's great to see an Aquis on the channel as you know they have a special place in my heart! ( though on a two week trip I only wore it one day...it may be on the way out...but that's another story. So this is a great review because you focussed on what most people miss. If they talk about the bracelet it's only to say how it has the proprietary system etc etc, but you never hear about how utterly luxurious they are. When I tell ( the few people who would even listen to such a topic) them that these are as well built as a Tudor etc, they just don't believe me. I thought I would buy that red one immediately, but I am afraid I would get tired of it too soon. Cheers man
yeah, m as amazing as the red is, its a bold colour for people to get on board with longterm - if you are managing to get into conversations the quality about the Aquis bracelet you've got more patient people around you than me 😂😂😂
@@watchandrew I'm like you. Had one. Sold it. The fact I couldn't put it on a nato was a big problem and still is. Proprietary lugs piss me off. That dial and bezel combo are epic and I would seriously buy that if it had regular 20mm lugs. Love Oris. They shame other brands with their quality to price ratio.
Just bought one - 41.5 mm - paid £1720 - looks amazing in the metal - so far so good - can't stop looking at it and I have serval watches in the £1K to £2K price point
Nice review! The Aquis is my favorite watch collection that is within my budget. I own 3 of them (Source of Life, Regulateur "Der Meistertaucher" and the Calibre 400) and it is the only watch that I wear. There is an elegance and versatility to it that is unmatched to me. I've owned the BB58 and the black SMP Diver 300m but I always end up wearing one of my Aquis and it is only a question of time before I get the new Aquispro as my fourth Aquis 😂 But maybe I'll squeeze the Longines All Black Ceramic Hydroconquest in between for a little diversification of my collection 😂
sporting the same watch at 43mm with the anthracite dial. it wears like a 41mm and the bracelet is amazing. the polished side links on the bracelet are classy but less flashy than one with polished center links
Personally, the overhanging bezel is a plus in my book; it makes turning the bezel that much easier to grasp. Wish my Omega Seamaster had this feature instead of the nice looking scalloped edge.
Yet another great video even I’m starting to fancy Ryan 😍 😂 love the Aquis like you I brought a 43mm one then upgraded to a Seamaster I’d love to try the new 41mm version on 👌 and the Oris bracelets are defiantly Oh la la and that watch suits you it’s matches the tattoos 👍
I prefer this model to the Seamaster Nekton, among the pieces that took some inspiration from the Yachtmaster 1's bezel. This Oris is very much its own thing, while I felt the Nekton was trying too hard. Anyways big fan of the channel, you've got yourself a subscriber.
Great review Andrew 👍 I’ve got a 41mm Oris ProPilot which I’m totally in love with but I’m so torn on what size Aquis to go for, 41.5mm or 43.5mm 🤷♂️ I’m leaning towards 41.5 but I’ll have to get both on wrist I reckon.
cheers pal,,, thats actually a tough choice, when I tried them both on I leaned towards 43 but after having this a while and seeing the video back I defo want a 41
Good review mate. It's a nice watch . Wouldn't rush out and buy it though . Bezel reminiscent of yachtmaster . 38 hour power reserve is a bit lame . But if you really like it, that shouldn't stop you getting it. 👍
I I was thinking to do a little hunt for an Omega Seamaster OG - the Electric Blue since it has ETA movement which I love a lot and is for my "le expensive Swiss diver" category, but now... I was initially dismissive towards Oris since I dislike their over the top blingy looks, especially the ceramic bezel, but this one HAS the things I like - colorless SS bezel look, red which is one of my favorite colors and SW 200 movement - yes please. The problem is I already bough a Seiko SBDX014 Emperor Tuna and I hate to binge buy in one month, so I'd let the thought sit for a while, but this time - yes, this Oris speaks to me. PS: Their proprietary lug design is still retarded though... Come on Oris. Time to stop with this autism.

Another of my favourite brands. Between the wife and I there are six in the house. I love this cherry dial.
I can feel my will power crumbling on these. The new 41.5 in house movement in blue is awesome 👍
would be a great choice mate,, I'm liking that one myself

I have a lot of tattoos and find it difficult to find watches that look good with the tattoos but this cherry Oris looks great surrounded by tattoos.
Yeah I thought it looked great against them,,,, such a cool watch!
Oris make nice bracelets, omega should take notice
good point! but the new speedy and Seamaster300 are amazing!
@@watchandrew honestly omega always leaves something to be desired, new speedmaster has no easy adjustable clasp and the seamaster bracelet has no taper
Guest appearance by ‘the brush’ deserves a ‘like’ on its own. Nice watch, nice video Andrew.

The dial and bezel on that are stunning. If it didn't have integrated lugs I would be buying it right now.
Honestly pal,,, go try one on,,, the bracelet is the best but by far

Oris make some lovely watches.
Real quality at a great price 👌
Definitely do mate - stunning
If 1600 is bonkers I got 1 with red strap edition for around 1300..Jan 24..new watch..and I just love it..amazing diver watch
Great review mate.
Beautiful watch.
How does the micro adjustment work? You mentioned a pin??

You are definitely a super fan of Oris, and to be fair I can totally see why - amazing watches - great collection you will have
So good to see a date at 6. Really starting to hate dates at 3 and 4
This looks great on you. Perfect fit. What is your wrist size?

good point about the polished links,,, great watches
Looks a nice watch. I bet you could get a decent discount on that
really great quality James, the price is crazy good value
Any concerns re the overhanging bezel? Not having held it myself does it protrude enough that it could catch on things and risk being popped off?
you could poss knock it yeah but id have to say it feels slid as a rock and wouldn't easily come off

haha, brilliant mate! yeah I noticed the red went well when watching it back,, defo worth having an Aquis in the collection
@@watchandrew yeah the only problem is that I’d have to get a sleeve done to…the Aquis would end up costing me a fortune 🤣

This video is perfect!!!!!
are you being sarcastic??? 😂🙌
@@watchandrew absolutely not, I just bought the Aquis Cherry Red yesterday!
