You wont be disapointed. I wear the blue Oris for the last 3 years daily and have very little scratches on it and it as good as the day I bought it. Very happy with mine glad to say

I don't hate on Oris, quite the opposite; I've owned four Oris during my watch journey. But I'm still trying to understand the logic of a five-day power reserve on an automatic. If you're thinking that this is a weekend watch and it'll hold power between weekends...well, no. If you take it off 8pm Sunday, it'll be out of power by 8pm Friday; so close, but no cigar. So why then? Especially since the rotor on the initial release of caliber 400 couldn't keep it wound (and believe me, handwinding it was a major chore). It's a solution in search of a problem.
Evey video we hear coaxial gives better power reevere yet its aleays the watch with worst power reserve ... Maybe choose the other features of coaxial .
Wow, you’re seriously into divers. Blue SMP300 is an icon imho. I might add one to my collection. Till then I’ll be rocking my Marathon GSAR on orange rubber 😎
Frustrating they put the 8800 not the 8900. As their flagship diver it deserves the 8900 with two barrels for better time keeping and jumping hour feature.
You're asking for a watch that's 3mm smaller than the watch that the 8900 was made for and you complain that it "deserves" the bigger movement. If you want the 8900 movement, then buy the watch that if fits into. Sheesh.
@@bdegrds there are some. Sinn 903, some Omegas at the entry level price point. Longines has some decent finishing. Of course not to Patek or ALS level but at least something.
The lug set up on the Oris is totally whacked - it makes the case and dial seem way oversized. Very odd and disproportionate experience. Passed on one even though the price and movement was solid. Omega all the way.
The Planet Ocean proportions are way worse. It feels super thick and unbalanced on the wrist plus has a bad bracelet. Just stick to the SMP300 if you want an Omega diver.
After seeing that Oris in person, I would seriously choose that over the Omega. Unfortunately, I will probably never own an Omega (maybe a 3861, but that's way in the future). Omega fanboys have little brother energy and have largely turned me off the brand.

I know right! He's Amazing! 💪😎
No doubt about it! Best in the business.
Oris all the way, this dial is mesmerising in person. Only issue is lack of microadjustment on the fly.
That oris has been on my list for over a year. I gotta make it happen!

You definitely should purchase an Oris. I own one of the New York Harbor limited editions and it is amazing.
I mean I love Oris- but cmon, this summer blue PO is one of the best looking dive watches ever released
Lol sure in your opinion maybe. The problem is people don’t like 19mm thick dive watches bro

Both great watches but still love the Oris. I would love to see the Omega up against the blue Oris. The sunbust dial is just gorgeous in the blue Oris
I like the omega's bezel and dial colour
I do as well but I grow tired of adventurous color schemes after a year or so. It’s why I go black dials almost every time.

Yeah the Pioneer is the correct name. The reason for the resemblance is the fumé dial.

"We can all agree that is a cool picture of a dude..." Yes Tim, hard hitting review as always :)
I’d definitely go with PO over Aquis purely on esthetics .
There are older 39.5mm PO molders which could be had for much less.

Omega is a Greek letter so I am guessing Poseidon vs Neptune.

Not enough room for the movement maybe.

Ahh the co-axial escapement. Simultaneously Omega’s greatest blessing and most insidious curse.
I kind of agree.
Oris forgot to finish the movement
You are not getting a nicely finished movement on entry watches
True, but with the Oris cal 400, if you turn the rotor a certain way, it makes a teddy bear face. No, really; Oris actually markets this.
