Hi, what graphics сard do you use? And actually, what are your pc specs? And thank you so much for your tutorials!
you are the only one teaching about how to create procedural materials.thanks for that.
You're very welcome!
Love this tutorial. At one time, I knew how to set up custom controls in Cinema 4d. I followed along in this one and I'm seeing how to do this in Blender, which is even better. Plus, the controls for the node group work in the sidebar under the material settings. Very cool!
Thanks so much for this! I appreciate your Blender tutorials and this has certainly helped me!
Great to hear that!
I started Blender about 3 months ago and you've essentially made me a pro. I've learned so much from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Anyone thinking of subscribing...do it. This guy's the real deal💜
Thanks so much!
THANK YOU FOR THOSE MATERIAL TUTORIALS!!!!!!!
you're welcome!
Really great step-by-step tutorial! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much for all tuts.!❤
You're welcome!
Great as always.
Thanks!
Amazing Tutorial! Thank you
You're welcome!
This was awesome!!!!
thanks!
This was awesome! Very informative. My first time making a procedural texture - thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks!
thanks for your support!
Its amazing tutorial, thank u for teaching
You are welcome!
Here is another question I haven't really found an answer to. Sorry for flooding you with questions but I hope getting more comments on your videos help at least.
So what I want to do is to have a brick texture, now I'd like to add grayscale gradient to each brick individually in the texture and connect that to Bump node and to normal slot so it would look like every brick is slightly tilted to random direction. This would also make it seem that each brick is slightly on different depth.
For example one of the bricks would seem to be closer to mortar level from the left bottom corner and at the same time looking like it's pushing out more from top right corner. The brick right next to it could be tilted close to mortar from bottom and pushing out from top. In some bricks it could even look like one of the edges is deeper than mortar, this feature however is not necessary, would be cool tho!
I have to use single 4 vert plane to do this.
Tried to connect gradient to color ramp to brick texture color but that just affects the entire texture instead of individual bricks.
Ahh, I wish I knew how to do that so that I could help you, but I actually have no idea on how to get that effect.
Amazing 🤩🤩
Thanks!
The one and only King
thanks : )
I like this it reminds me of Unreal Engines, Material and Material Instance, the Material being the thing that's made , while the Material Instance allows you to adjust how the material gets displayed.
glad you like it
Yes!
thanks!
Thanks
you're welcome!
Bro i litterally needed this this very moment i was making an SCP map concept for futre maybe, and i needed a well texture this could not have been timed better lol
Wow cool! hope you like the material!
If I may ask, I followed the turorial but ran into an issue in the very beginning
When I UV unwrap my sphere the texture gets broken up and is not the same across the entire surface
It has these strange "borders"
What am I doing wrong?
Yes! Needed this for an urban setting. Thank you! If you are taking suggestions for PM's, are you able to show us how to make a Carbon Fiber PM? Like ones on tactical knife handles? Thanks again! 👍
thanks for the material idea!
Is it possible to use procedural things in ubge?
last question: how can I adjust the opacity of a layer in the blender editor?
Thanks a lot for this tutorial ! I just got in trying to make brick walls in different ways (cause I find it fascinating to do brick walls in blender 😯) and this is definitely gonna help me!
thanks for watching!
👍👍👍
thanks!
Please can you make a comlete tutorial on how to model an aircraft please.
that's a great idea! I'd love to do that sometime.
I'm so confused, my bump is not working. Did i miss something? i need help 😩
Hello! Great videos! I have used them a lot while in school studying Game Development as we use Blender to model and Unity as the game engine. However I've run to one issue a few times now. This one is a good example of such a texture. So we have bigger and smaller details.
Now if I have a large objects like a brick wall and I want to bake it. I need to go really high resolution if I want to use single tile uv to get the small details as intended. I could also make a lot of udims and that way increase the available resolution.
However Unity has tileable detail map option in it. This would be great for small high frequency details such as really high scale noise bump etc. I really haven't been able to find a tutorial how to go about it in blender tho. It would be awesome if you could make a tutorial on how to go on about it. I think it would be very helpful for a lot of people.
The detail map in unity is a channel packed map with
Albedo on Red
Normal y-axis on Green
Smoothness on Blue
Normal x-axis on Alpha
Neutral values are 0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 0.5
Thanks for supporting me on RUclips memberships. I wish I could give you some advice on this, but I actually have no experience with game engines. I never used unity before.
@@RyanKingArt Okay, if you ever find the time, it would be great. Basically what you have to do is whole another texture that is separate, basically just a plane to make details that repeat. The problem is I have no clue how to add it on top of the base texture. What tile size to use etc.
anyone else have issues with ambient occlusion crashing blender?
I have a question not much related to the video. So, is it possible to be self taught in 3d? And if it is , then what should be the procedure?
Yes, I am self taught. I learned Blender by watching tons of tutorials, and practicing a lot.
@@RyanKingArt I am following some tutorials too and improved a lot. But some technical problems arise here and there. Like in the tutorials, they just show the surface but not everything like settings ,what to use and when etc,( or else it would took a very long ) .
How would you recommend to self study?
Thanks for replying!
😎
thanks!

Hey, Ryan! Are you back?
Regular upload or a scheduled one?
Hey! I've moved over to Tennessee, and I'm living with a relative of mine, as I look for a more permanent residence. So I don't have quite as much time to make tutorials right now, but I managed to get this posted. 🙂
hey ryan i just posted my home animation video in which I used most of your products from your home and furniture asset pack, some I modified and other stuff made myself fully but a lot of it was your stuff and I would like to know what you think of it if you have the time! It is about 3 mins long and been making it since June. It's the video titled "home."
Very cool! Just checked it out.
I just re uploaded it i was not happy with the sound but i think its better now @@RyanKingArt
will there be tutorials on cars? I just want to create a cop car
maybe I can make a tutorial on that sometime 😀
thanks)@@RyanKingArt

thanks
How do I activate the motion blur option in the editor? even trying to activate it, it doesn't render it to me with motion blur
Can you please make a Procedural umbilical slime fluid with varying lumps of tissue and viscosity :D Thank you.
