Your enthusiasm makes me want to make this dish right away.
I make this for my lunchs. Reheats well and you stay full all afternoon
I made it last night and added potato 🥔 and spinach.
My husband cooked this for our daughter last night, served with baked sweet potato and flat bread, my husband said it was easy and straight forward to make, both said it was delicious and a keeper recipe. Thank You.
That’s wonderful, so happy you guys enjoyed this as a family 🥰☀️☀️
This makes me happy thank u so much ☺️ ❤❤ bless u
I make this meal weekly for my meal prep. It’s extremely cheap. Filling and provides me with energy before the gym
I’m going to give it a try this week
Made this last night, it was a huge hit.. had it for dinner then again for breakfast. Made a side chapati and coconut rice and it was a real treat. Just reduce it for longer for intense curry coconut flavour.
Hello, i wanted to ask what u meant with "just reduce it for longer"? english isn't my morherlanguage 🥲
@@korayk1999 Basically, cook out some more of the water to get a thicker sauce. You can achieve this by leaving the sauce on low to medium heat for longer than the recipe instructs. This will intensify the curry and coconut flavours of the sauce. In other words, let the water dry out until the sauce is thick enough for you. Just make sure to monitor it closely and stir it regularly so it doesn't burn. Enjoy!
@@Anendlesswelloftalent but my red lentils starts sticking into the pan and starts burning.. i don't know how to avoid that :(
@@korayk1999 Ohh. I see. In that case you can steam or stir fry the red lentils separately and then add them to the sauce when it's almost ready.
Thank you! How do I make coconut rice with this?
We love indian food. Packed with flavour.
As someone who can’t get chick peas right and only like hummus, this was perfect!! Even missing the veggie broth and curry powder, it was a hit! It definitely made me a fan of chick peas and I can’t wait to make again.🎉🎉
what spices did you add instead sis 🤔😏😊
I made this.... its too good.. I already finished most of it at one go...
Thank you!!!! Your recipes never fail me 😍 I'm not even vegan, but I keep coming back to your channel because it's perfect for someone like me who's still new to cooking (and would like to try different flavors and cuisines). Your enthusiasm is also so contagious! Grazie! ❤
I absolutely love his recipes. They r simple straight to the point n SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!
I tried this , it turned out super yum!! Never knew chickpeas could taste this better with very less ingredients!! Thanks for this! I added ripe tomato and cooked it until mashed and then added chickpeas and. Coconut milk to it instead of tomato paste.
Glad you mentioned the yogurt in the ingredients because was wondering what the creamy stuff you added at the end was.
I can *almost* taste this! 😋
I'm definitely making this tomorrow since it's super quick
Thank you 💜
This was really good. I blended fresh tomato and cooked it before the broth. Yum.
I made this recipe without knowing the measurements and substituted spaghetti sauce for crushed tomatoes, oat milk instead of coconut milk and cauliflower instead of spinach and it still came out Bellissimo which is truly a testament to just how good this dish is!
whaaa go off sis 😋🎉😊
What about milk, do you think it will still be good enough as my partner can’t have oat milk?
This was my first skillet dish done in my new house to share. Thank you.
Love your recipes ‼️ saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷 ✌🏻 pura vida❣️
I’ve already tried several of your recipes and everything come out so good that I think my partner and friends love me much more now than ever! 😊 This is my next one and I can’t wait to make it! Thank you!
Your amazing recipes are totally attached to my Greek Orthodox fastening diet for the Easter.Thank you❤
The 'spinach spin' is a great idea .i generally add Fenugreek. Woukd try with spinach
Looks delicious can’t wait to try
my mom loved this!
I would like to suggest another ingredient. Asafoetida. Adds a different flavour to it and shines especially if you're doing without onion and garlic.
No rice what happened to good old bathura
Why do you need it to shine
Also good for digestion!

Corriander powder is the main key element in chickpea curries.add lot of it
Super ❤ luvox
Can i use actual fresh cilantro instead?
@@brianabeans4549fresh cilantro will not be as potent as coriander powder, but its the next best thing if you cant find the powder at your local grocery store
No you actually can't. Coriander powder comes from grinding coriander seeds, so has a different flavour profile compared to coriander leaves. @@brianabeans4549

I tried for lunch today. OMG! It was absolutely delicious. It was easy and simple to cook. It definitely is going to be a staple dishes on my meat free-day.
Amaaazing, so happy to hear ❤️❤️
Can someone please tell these western people that there's nothing like curry powder exist in India.
So what? We like it!
It's cancerous , it's not Indian at all@@Ditto463
Well it’s for Westerners to make it since they are not accustomed to the variety of spices
It’s just a really easy option to be honest, I don’t personally eat curry powder, I make masala from scratch (onion and garlic are normally in curry powder). Curry powder is simple and often adds flavour easily, which is good for westerners who aren’t familiar with tempering spices to draw out the flavour.
@@conker9529 us westerners also make curries from scratch.. we’re more than capable of following a recipe… and sometimes we just can’t be bothered
Hands down one of my favorite meals! It was SO delicious. I could eat this everyday. Only thing I did different was: I added fenugreek leaves (per someone's suggestion), added red bell pepper and mushrooms and I didn't add sugar because I love the savory flavor.
Was very good, and easy. I had guests from India tonight. Thanks
Looks delicious!!!!❤❤❤
I made this and just used an indian spice mix i bought a while ago. It was sooo good, and so easy to make. I will defintely make it again
I like that you say "inspired by Indian cuisine" :) 💛
(instead of claiming it's an Indian dish and calling it something Indian)
We (Indians)don't use too much processed food like the canned items. try soking the channa over night and try to make fresh tomato sause.....its healthier this way
Shut uuuuuup
@@Innerpandora you should follow your own advice
Why indians always has to put their shit in when its about food? Like stop crying
Canned vegetables are not unhealthy though
@@Ther473nright!
Looks good
I just fallen in love with your cute smile ❤
Oh i would love eating that since i am a vegetarian😊❤❤❤❤
Wud like to add tht chickpea is heavy on stomach/ digestion.... so better to eat it in lunch rather than dinner. Also u can make amritsari chickpea curry which uses indian gooseberry / pomgrenate powder for adding sourness.
That recipe look healthy and tastefull.
I also use fresh spinach in my chickpea curry or "ghugni" and it tastes really good ❤
Peyaz, jhuri bhaja, lebu.
Vat diye ghugni??
@@hoimantimondal2483 Yes..

I prefer to soak chick peas over night to avoid can food
I made this. It was fantastic! ❤️ Thank yoooooouuuu🎉
I tried it and loved it ..❤❤❤ instead of chillie flakes I added instead smoked paprika as my curry powder was spicy enough👌...amazing...

I make this kind of curry quite often because it's easy and delicious
I need to make this!!!!! I just have to!!!❤
Fru fru cookin style wooaw friariellissimo
Looks delicious.
Use soaked overnight and then boiled chickpeas
Also make tomato paste on your own, believe me these two extra steps will give you authentic flavours.
PS:- There is no Indian curry masala,as per my knowledge so far.
Yeah there are different spice mix for different curries.
Love from India
I have now made a double batch twice and it is fabulous!! A HIT with EVERYONE including children! However, I would cut the liquid in half and add it is it's needed, unless you want more of a soup. I didn't like when what I made was called soup because it was going with rice. Easy peasy fix if a thicker consistency is what you're looking for. Love this recipe!
How much ginger/garlic?
It looks delicious 😊
