I'm just about to start building my garden room, got the timber just prepping the ground at the moment (as the weather allows). I accidentally forgot to buy the OSB for the roof when I placed my timber order, and I'm glad I did now. I had originally planned to just use square edge OSB but after seeing this video I'll be getting the tongue and groove for sure. Thanks for the video.
As always amazing content. I’m using your video episode to build my garden room/studio for Yoga. Size of the building is 6 m x 5 m external, I plan to use 2 x 8 joists for Roof, 2 x 4 for the uprights. Our plan to have 3.6 m bifold doors at the front, What size lintel would you use for the front above the bifold doors? I was thinking, doubling up on 4.6 metre 2×9” C24 allowing 500mm either side to sit on the wall. Using 2x5 for the front wall uprights - what are your thoughts or guidance? I thank you in advance for your amazing content and the guy that you’ve given so far. Many thanks Karl
Very helpful videos, thanks. Couple of questions - at 2.35 when you join the first two boards do you not need to apply glue? Is that just needed along the 8 feet lengths? And can you confirm whether it's the tongue or groove that's facing the camera - I think it's the tongue but I can't work it out from the video and when you reference it I'm not clear which board you're referring to as it's just out of shot. Thanks so much!
We glued it out of the video 👍 All the joints are to be glued. And it tongue facing the inside and groove on the outside. Writing side up makes it much easier. Writing side down they are a bit of a pig to fit sometimes.
Less wastage on the smaller sheets and lugging up 18mm sheets is hard work, smaller ones are much easier to work with that’s why most people use them I think 👍

Loving you work and videos, may I ask what thickness EPDM you use from Avenir roofing - the 1.14mm or the 1.52mm ? - TIA - keep up the good work.
Think the 1.14 not totally sure to be honest, it’s all pretty tough 👍
Another great video, quick question, is there any reason that you use the smaller T&G OSB on the roof, rather than using large OSB sheets?

@@creategardenrooms No t & g on the big sheets is there?
Is the roof rubber supposed to be glued???
