    bro finally someone who actually knows what they're talking about! so many other reviews people basically say a whole lot of nothing and you can tell they're not very experienced. end up just saying "yeah bike is good". the way you go into detail about things, and comparing it to your tpi, is a breath of fresh air! great video.

    I have this bike. I just spent 40 hours on it over 6 weeks in deep brutal sand in FL. I am 6'5" 250. I had to immediately get a higher seat from seat concepts , and RC Tall Bars from Renthal. I never thought a dirt bike could be this good in my life. I loosed up the rear spring 2 clicks and softened up all the suspension settings to all the way out and two in. Perfect. I'll do a video on it on my other channel. It will be out soon and a top search.

    Give it 10 hours and everything about the bike will become more compliant. It starts off good out of the crate and gets even better. I’ve also had a lot of hours on the air fork, even had a Kreft set up on my previous 250XC and as a light rider (140 Lbs before gear) the air fork does not work as well for me as the 6500 kit I currently have in my 23’. Your assessment is spot on there. I didn’t have a starting issue or throttle response issue, but my friend, I threw in an iridium plug and you look at it sideways and it’ll fire right up.

    That KTM 300xc is the best looking bike i've seen in a long time! The purple doesn't bother me as it's a ode back to the early to mid 90's. I'm still rocking a old 2011 KTM 300xc that I bought new and I'm actually surprised that it's still running so well! You’re not alone in feeling like the new frame isn’t as rigid as people make them out to be…. I’m 190-195lbs and day 1 my 2023 was more compliant and softer feeling than my 17 450xc which I’ve pumped a lot of money into to get setup for me. The 300 just felt great bone stock with no foot peg relocation, taller bars etc.
    I started off on the comfort settings thinking it was gonna beat me to death and need to “break in” and I was very surprised. I ride the Bowling Green, KY area and TN as well and so far even the air fork has been great so I can only imagine the CC being even more compliant. I think a lot of the guys who bought them just don’t have a ton of experience to compare to when saying it was rigid.

    • @dirtabletv
      @dirtabletv  Год назад

      Now that I have ridden it a bit more, the forks are too soft. I can easily compress them while braking. Needs .52 springs.

    • @JB-th4bx
      @JB-th4bx Год назад

      You're dead on. The bike is amazing bone stock. It's as good, or better than, my heavily modified 2018 300 XC with KYB forks, revalved shock, jet kit, head, and gearing change. I don't feel the need to do any that to my 2023.
      The bad reviews (Slavens) are BS. He just gave a tongue bath to the 2024 xc-w, wich is the same chassis he cried was too stiff on the XC.

Id be coming off a 18 GasGas Xc300 which i love the forks but want a little more rigidity and maybe power...wont get rid of it cause i love my bike over all my previous but i like options too. Gotta say though, my 300 has tons of punch and it idles super low even in green map. Go to my channel and watch my most recent video called Rogers Favorite and listen to the motor. It lugs awesome but will also rip your arms off. If your doing GNCC or riding more open terrain, 250 all day. Once you get into the tight stuff, 300 is preferred by a fair margin in my opinion.

    Later we can hear the cure for consumption of the 30% fuel left in tank...
    What was amazing-, I thought was a little 30 day warranty. And like a few spare rubber parts for something not shown in the manual. So old dog here. What is best method for storage for infrequent riding ?
    I like to store Mona Lisa- a 2017 300 XCW with tank empty.....
    And there was a very good or reasonably priced seemed like maintenence plan...that I didn't bite on...
    I think KTM is pushing for support your local KTM dealer service...
    Start and stop button & graphics don't bother me a bit.
    I am thinking how to mount a headlight....and bolt on extra fuel cells...way down low.
    We will see if a fan is needed...
    Probably will bring the 12 VDC to a little external jack to charge battery from time to time...
    And study how much current can be drawn without smoking something or hurting reliability ...maybe for the headlight have it charge another little battery thru a diode...
    I name all my bikes.
    Her name is Lightening...
    May she be the last bike
    Needful things....
