Hey Pete Mini basket setting for the mini basket . Great machine. I always loved these g e machines to. These machines you did not need to much soap because the filter Flo water is generating a lot of suds. . Thank you for sharing this video. My neighbor had this similar machine.
@@petermaz701 yup these new machines hardly generate suds. I want to start going back to the laundromat and start filming the washer s again and the dryers running again. Love those big dryers.

@@bob3782 yeah that's because this washer doesn't have a mini wash setting. I use the small water level setting so it was a lot of water pushing the mini basket tub up.
SEARS AND WHIRLPOOL WASHERS top loading would go into suds-lock mode in the first spin with all those suds. After the rinse though everything would be back to normal and complete the cycle. It would be best though to set cycle for another deep rinse using a fabric softener.
NORGE WASHERS AND MONTGOMERY WARDS WASHERS built by NORGE would have suds overflow outside as well as inside the machine's cabinet and would overflow on the mechanisms like the transmission and possibly the motor.

You also can't use high sudsing detergents in WHIRLPOOL and SEARS TOP LOADERS due to suds-locks. i have rebuilt thousands of those. watch it dont strip out the agitator spline. its aluminum on steel. the corkscrew design put lots of strain on it. but i remember the cleaning rating was very high on the minibasket. i miss working on those.. many times found gold chains around the boot seal 👍 as long as the tranny dont leak grease on the floor.. and it has the "non asbestos clutch pads" its i good machine. i miss working on them.. just wish i made the money.. i went broke & had to stop. oh WAIT 2 minutes before changing to a slow speed for 2 speed washers.. the clutch internals are still spinning after the motor stops it will rip off the speed control arm & no more slow speed. oh.. if it goes out of balance starts banging redistribute the load the inner drum will cut thru the outer drum.. anyways some helpful info 👍

I think the machines that had minibaskets were larger. Yours doesnt have it. The mini setting filled the main tub only about an inch. The circulation pump filled the basket.
