@@mariofixer I agree. 👍🏻👍🏻
Ok will it rince out as well
@@joshnewsome300 yes it does a higher water level final rinse and it does the spray rinse after each drain cycle so normally it's three spray rinses and if you select extra rinse , then you're actually getting another deep rinse and another spray rinse.
I saw the jeans cycle video yesterday. The acton is alot more effective than I thought it would be. I live in california. What part of New York are you from?
@@andrewclarke3622 New York City Bronx
I was in New York in 1997 and 1999. Love its history. Its a bit intense for me though. I dont make it a habit to ask where people are from
@@andrewclarke3622 it's a bit intense for me too at times. Believe me if I could move, I would.
I was born in California but grew up in Maryland and Michigan. When I was still in Michigan is when I first saw New York. I was in Mahattan. My sister is a Culinary Institute grad. We mother and I arrived about mid Morning, lunchtime, and when we left after dinner, it was around 10:30 almost 11, the place was just as busy as mid day! The only difference is that the sun went down. I get it why they call NY the city that never sleeps! I live in LA (since 1998). When I was still in Michigan, I grew up about 2 and hours from Chicago.
Hey. Can you do my request?
Why not put small load and do it in the main basket?
@@Ryan-um8ug oh yes, I prefer the main basket over the mini basket. Since when it does the spray rinse, you don't get it in the mini basket.
Newer machines have built-in lint filters. Reverse action on water pump. Lint is expelled when pump starts emprying.
@@kimberleytui179 keep in mind. This is a better way of not plugging up the drain line in your house. For example, in my house, these machines drain into a stump pump, rather having the lint go into the pump and the possibility of clogs I could just take the lint and put it in the garbage pail.
I'm about to buy a house that has this washer coming with it along with a 70s maytag washer and an old maytag dryer.
@@MassiveGarbage that sounds great I'm sure it still works. Just fine. Test it out.

I was a second-generation Maytag Dealer that my dad started in the early 1960s. I remember doing the original service training on the TL Neptune, and I was very impressed. Unfortunately, shortly after they came out, Whirlpool Corporation bought Maytag. They killed the Maytag design and went with their TL Calypso design, which was not as good. Parts for the Neptunes are hard to find.
This model didn’t come with the original agitator with that blue line below the fabric softener dispenser.
@@Dog-Lover36 no this is the Agitator that the Washer came with. The large load sensing Agitator not the regular size one.
One thing I love about my 30 year old Miele is that it runs on 220 V and is hooked up to only cold water and heats its own water up to 170 degrees F. I love this system because it allows different stains to come out at their own optimal temperature. For example, if you have a cut on your skin and have a blood stain on white sheets and throw them in hot or warm water, the bloodstain sets immediately and is almost impossible to get out. But when the washer starts with cold water and slowly heats the clothes to very hot, the blood stains come out when the wash is cold and other stains such as body oils come out at the higher temps.
@@Shahrdad wow that's cool, this one has been Americanized. You could pick the temperature hot plus hot warm plus warm and cold. It does have a built-in heater so it could boost the temperature or sanitize.
@@petermaz701 Knowing myself, when my Miele finally dies, I'll probably buy a Little Giant that runs on 220! My childhood washer (an early '60s German Constructa) ran on industrial 3-phase power (almost unheard of in American homes) and could boil the clothes. When you think of three 220 V hot wires, you realize that it ran on 660 total volts! It had two motors, one for washing and one for spinning. The main issue was that sometimes after a power outage, when the power came back on, two of the phases would have been reversed, which caused the spin motor to turn in the wrong direction, which would then lead to water flying out of the soap dispenser. It had a small electric water pump and also a large one that was powered by the spin motor. The small pump drained the tub down to 1/4, but the large pump drained from the bottom. The washer also had two drain hoses, a large and a small one, and it would start spinning with the tub full, and the large pump would rapidly pump everything out. My father had taught my to check the washer after a power outage, and if it would start spinning in the wrong direction, I would immediately switch it off, unplug it, open the large plug, reverse two of the wires, and plug it back in! I think I was 10 or 11 years old. The washer weighed a ton and it took three or four people to move it. I remember the outer tub was made of really thick galvanized steel with the back plate bolted on, and there was a large cast iron weight on top of it. In the back, there was something that looked like a water pitcher with a floater inside (like a toilet tank). The water would first go into the "pitcher" and then go down a tube from 3/4 up the pitcher into the wash tub. There was also another hose with a much smaller hole on the bottom of the "pitcher" that slowly drained it into the tub when rapid water intake wasn't needed. I also remember that it had three pressure switches for three different water levels. I think this washer is exactly like ours: ruclips.net/video/3NBWuKDm_Sc/видео.html
@@petermaz701 This one shows the inside of our old "Waschmaschine" well. You can see why it was so incredibly heavy. The only difference I see is that the large "spin" water pump in ours was driven by a belt from the spin motor and didn't have it's own electric motor. You can see the "pitcher" and the floater and the three pressure switches too. ruclips.net/video/T_uHOcGIE78/видео.html
@ wow that's an oldie my God it must be like a tank
@ amazing but thinking that won't behind this
We had a Kenmore in the 1970s that had an agitator like that. When it turned counterclockwise, it seemed to create a vacuum of sorts that sucked the clothes down to the bottom of the agitator and kept things circulating. I thought it was a clever design.
@@Shahrdad the Kenmores always had different Agitator's they always did a great job.

Wow! Somehow got your channel in my feed. Just subscribed. My mom also had that 1980 Maytag gold. Run a load or two for us! Ha!
Love the video!!! I grew up with a early 1960s Constructa German washing machine that ran on 3-phase power and would boil your clothes if you wanted it to. I liked how quick the cycles on the American style washers were, but I also found that they never cleaned as well as the old Constructa. For the last 30 years, I've had a Miele that has been wonderful and aside from having to replace the water pump and the solenoid after 25 years, has been working perfectly. White items that remained dingy in my top loader came out pure white out of the Miele. It runs on 220, and it heats its own water as well.
@@Shahrdad I have to agree I did my white towels and socks in one of the top loaders today the Maytag orbital that's the beige one they did not come out bright white so I took them and I put them in the Miele on the extra white cycle which heats the water They came out sparkling white after the machine was done. So yes, there is a difference with the Miele.
@@petermaz701 I had a very expensive set of white sheets that had gotten kind of gray. I soaked them, bleached them, but no matter what I did, they looked gray and dingy. One wash in the Miele and they came out pure white! Do you find that your Miele on 110 V can heat the water to very high temps? My old Miele on 220 V heats quite fast, and it's hooked up just to cold water. Nice to find a kindred spirit that loves washing machines. I've loved them since I was a toddler.
@ yes that hits the water quite well. I'm sure it takes a bit more time than your 220 V because here it uses 110.

@@chineeboy18 thank you so much and I agree on everything you said.
They weren't very reliable, expensive to make, and difficult to repair. You can get this washing action more easily by turning the drum to the side, which, as you guessed, is simply a frontloader.
@ you have to realize that this machine was made before front loaders were very popular here in the US in the very beginnings. There were not that many manufacturers that made front loaders. Top loaders were definitely way more popular so having a top loader that worked like a front loader with the amount of water and energy used was a win-win, but unfortunately complicated design and the fact Maytag was purchased by whirlpool and they stopped producing any of the Maytag prototypes a second generation was never made.
