  • By request. It was a very nice day here in Ohio so I thought it would be a nice time to do some sheets and towels. Tap warm water, Tide Cold Water Clean. Camera battery died during the rinse. Uploaded anyway.

    We had a 77 GE F.F when I was in Middle School thru College, I had anxiety problems, I'd lay across the washer/dryer, it would calm me down. Funny as it sounds, I honestly believe it helped keep me off drugs & drinking, I use your vid to fight insomnia, Its a real God Send!!! Thanks!!!!

      Wow , I had the same issue and log onto this Every night to help me hit zzz state. I stated a similar comment about a year or two ago on another video of a washer with great sound. I like the dishwasher swoosh as well. The sound of the washer has helped me with anxiety and is similar to taking a sleeping pill or other substances to trick my brain into relaxing . Amazing how the human body is composed of a majority of water and those that have discovered this connection of calm state of mind can rely on it. I think that there is a deeper connection to nature as a whole. I found that the sound of Yosemite falls has a similar effect . We are now water bros....lol Take care and thanks for the comment . I have been waiting to converse with somebody with a similar experience that is so profound and literally life altering!

      Hi mate ! I think we may be related . In the animal kingdom that is ....and by the fact that we are drawn to this particular sound . Nostalgia in the deepest scense . The whom mate . Yes the whom. Think about and then project it to a sound that all humans had a one time an affinity for as we developed and moved on or are very drawn toward this " familiar sound " in for a deep relaxation. Clear your mind and wait for the spinal chills . You can control them if you train your self, you will catch my drift . It's better then any drug that I have dabbled with to get a great night's sleep and it's all natural .

My last washer was a Whirlpool purchased in 1982. I gave it to my niece when I bought this GE set. That washer is still running like new thirty-nine years later with ZERO REPAIRS!!! Found an older Whirlpool washer that sat outside 25 years and looked like it had flooded in high water more than that. Also had a big animal nest inside it. Got it for free . Hooked it up to garden hose and plugged it in in the driveway after blowing all the crap out, and there was nothing wrong with it. 100% functional. The grease, the bearings, the motor, all were working as they should. Just needed a lot of bondo and bodywork on the panels.
      The Maytag Epic Z I have in my house that I bought in 2013, made in 2007, the rubber seal gasket went bad and I had to replace that. No appliance company would do it because they said it was a waste of time. I don't have $2,300 for a new washer similar to that one. Replaced the seal myself for $60, took 2 hours. The button plastic on the control panel is now rotting off from frequent use, so you have to stick your fingers or a pencil in the hole to push the buttons

      Top load washers have a bigger drum. One rinse is enough to fill a bathtub. Front load washers and especially European "energy saver" nanny state crap take 5 rinses to do the same job as 1 rinse cycle because they are programmed intentionally to barely use any water., and therefore it takes forever to actually clean your clothes, and that is a big "IF" your clothes actually get clean. Same as those crap low flow toilets that take 7 flushes to actually work, so you end up wasting 3 times more water than you would save by just using a normal toilet.
      I had a Maytag Epic Z front loader, I got rid of it as soon as I found a nice old 1970's top load washer again. My clothes actually get clean now. So many of my whites got ruined with permanent stains because those garbage quality front load washers aren't using enough water to clean the clothes.

    • @Wind-nj5xz
      @Wind-nj5xz 3 года назад

      @@MrWolfSnack Front loaders usually do 2-3 rinses, i've seen some older ones that do 4 and some newer ones that you can program to do 1-4 but never 5, also front loaders use a system that doesn't require the clothes to be fully submerged in water to work, i have seen some that use a tad bit too little water for a larger load but there are plenty that use just the right amount (if you're gonna use the washer in it's maximum capacity) also Speed Queen and whirlpool washers do have a reasonable sized outer tub, but 70's GE Filter-Flo washers have a huge outer tub (i guess the suspension and shock absorbers they use now weren't a thing back then?) and it actually wastes more water than necessary, without mentioning the fact that you can't add fabric softener without adding an extra rinse wich would further increase the amount of water wasted, so for a front load i'd reccomend maybe a Bosch, they fill the drum with engouth water to clean your clothes and do 3 rinses but probably waste less water than this thing, a Whirlpool or Speed Queen would also waste less water and they do that spin rinse thing wich makes adding fabric softener during the only rinse a bit more plausible
