    This video and some of the comments proves I haven’t lost it. 😊 Thanks for taking the time to record this. There must be some womb sounds that are close to this....tho it’s been quite some time since I heard those.....but this may seriously be my white noise go-to-sleep sound from now on.
    I love my 2002 Whirlpool 80 series and snatched an older Frigidaire at an estate sale for backup. The Kenmore...Going to replace the clutch today and she should be good for a long time still. Oh how I love the older things!

    It's true but, washer lovers love to see the agitator in ACTION---along with the filter flo too but, ending the videos with the ACTIVATOR--4 really tops it off. This agitator is really great, I mean the wash action is so much better than I thought it would be. I like the way the ACTIVATOR 8-vane looks but this one washes so much better. Viewers also like the see videos of the agitator washing ALL size loads...from (SUPER) Extra Large which is maximum water level...where the water basically covers the high-vanes...large, MEDIUM and SMALL loads to see how well or just how the Activator 4 'turnover' the loads. Also, they like to see the agitator in action looking down into the tub having a complete OVERVIEW of the wash, rinse and spin action. Other great videos are maximum capacity wash loads to see how much or big a load the agitator could handle...example, how many bath towels, sheets, jeans---comforter the Activator 4 can power wash. I'm absolutely sure you can get a donated GE TRANSMISSION and BRAKE component from ( automaticwasher.org) club. Someone would be happy to help you get 'her' runner her BEST from the club. Open a thread on the site and you'll see.

There used to be a post that John L made about a FilterFlo he knew of that had a defective brake since it was new and it worked for a decade so I'll just let it be. It's not worth putting a new trans in since it does work.

    AWESOME video, really appreciate them but, ah yeah where is the rest of it (lghh) we wasn't able to see the ACTIVATOR 4 in action during the rinsing cycle as well. There aren't any videos with this GE straight 4-vane agitator in action. This agitator is powerful and turns the load over fast. FYI, the spinning speed is faster and the brake works much quicker than this. You should post this video on automaticwasher.org. to let all of the GE washer fans see how awesome this agitator is.

      The brake is broken. It does not work at all. I am afraid that the transmission on this machine is not long for this world. The belt is brand new and tight and the motor is fine. She's just a bit tired these days. I will try switching the filter to the other part. My assumption was that people would like to see the filter since it is a filterflo but alas, perhaps not!

      I actually prefer GE straight vanes over the ramp style.

      PG I have one old dryer, a 1975 Kenmore in avocado. The motor is from a newer machine, though, because after the thermostat failed the original owner left it in a moist environment and it seized.

      PG My dryer mostly makes modern dryer sounds with the added addition of an electro-mechanical “demon buzzer” that is unadjustable.

      PG I agree. My regular dryer is a 1999 Maytag and it has a switched electronic chime that’s much improved.

    Where's the lint filter that's supposed to be on top of the agitator,...you over loaded,...the wash basket and and put in too much soap

    • @abcsd1254
      @abcsd1254  3 года назад +2

      It’s in the garage above the machine; other people wanted to see it work without the filter pan. The lid says to put the dry clothes to the top of the basket which I did and I followed the manufacturers instructions on the soap so what I did was what General Electric and P&G said to do.
